I personally like the premiere feature. I get to watch videos alongside fellow fans. Also I like that I can help out the channel even though I’m not paying money.
Premiere sounds like a fun concept! The content creator gets to hang out and chat with the people watching, and watch it with them. ^^ It's like a watch-along!

Protip: If you're making the image larger than the recommended size, make it a multiple of that size. So if they want 48, make it 96, 192, 384 or 768. It works better with resampling that way.
I get that UA-camrs use premiers as a way to get donations (and I have no problem with this), however I would *_really_* like it if the torrent of comments in the live chat didn't cause my shitty laptop to freeze and crash until I manage to hide the chat.
Another really important thing to do is to test the emotes in night mode and day mode. For example, Night Mode on twitch is super dark and sometimes the black lines get covered. So it's easier to just check the emote on both backgrounds
As a pixel artist I found that 40x40 px & 20x20 px work decently well with Discord Emotes/reactions!!! This video definitely inspired me to make some reacts and emotes just so I could see what sizing I needed to do and how I can get my pixels crisper thanks Lavender!!! 💕💕💕

really great video! ive drawn some emotes for some twitch channels myself and this advice very much rings true. i know multiple other people have expressed this sentiment, but it'd be really cool if you ever made a discord server! it might be a bit difficult, since you'd have to find moderators to help run it, but i'm sure a lot of people would be interested. i don't really use amino/youtube/twitch/etc for interacting with communities, and you could probably cultivate a really positive space for artists to interact on discord
In the middle of making emotes for someone as a commission and with my lack of knowledge on making them let alone not knowing how twitch really works this was super helpful!

I get the premieres arent the greatest but at least its content to watch and something fun to watch from lavendertowne. I mean at times its difficult for content creators. So it shouldnt really matter if they premiere or not. It's not that big of a deal if they premiere.
Hey! May I give you a tip? 😅 I don't know if you did that and if it's even possible with Photoshop or Krita, whichever program you were using to create the emotes, but in SAI you can open your canvas multiple times.^^ That's useful for creating emotes, because you could open 3 more windows with your canvas and zoom out the images. Zoom out at around 6%, 12% and 24% this should allow you to see the emotes in the different sizes they would be seen in chat, etc. (I must admit I used this trick to create twitch emotes, but I do think UA-cam works similiar^^) Now you should have more freedom in designing them because you will actually see, which details would be visible and which not. :D

Ikr, they complain about stuff like "oh if i rewind the time a bit i'll feel left out because the commenters will be ahead..." If you don't usually watch it live, just don't read the chat, or wait for the normal version. It's really not that difficult.

I think premieres are actually good. I used it for my video that came on January 2019, 0.00am. This way, sone of my Subscribers knew even before January 2019, 0.00am, that I made a video for new year. And they had a way better chance of watching it the moment it was released, rather than if it didn't had a premiere.

I dont understand why so many people are pissed. You are getting free content from a UA-camr you enjoy. If you get an alert for a video she will be premiering and you'll be busy at that time no problem it's not going anywhere. You want to skip through the video at times? No problem wait 11 minutes and you'll be free to skip over parts. You feel let down for getting an alert and it turns out you cant watch it yet? Toughen up you wont die my God. Thanks a lot, that was useful and entertaining, I was working on a fan-made Server of a game that does not have any of from Discord, in the game there was some Resource Icons by which I added right into it for a quick start and it took 24 over 50 available slots, so I was in the point of adding original ones inspired by the main character which are a male and female astronaut, because their faces are hidden I thought giving them an helmet but decorated with emotions, and your video helped me to give the missing inspiration, the aspect will still look technical just like the persona of the game but with unicode colors, and like you said; simplicity and exaggeration, thanks a lot again, I hope to see more tutorials and projects of yours, until next time.

Thanks a lot, that was useful and entertaining, I was working on a fan-made Server of a game that does not have any of from Discord, in the game there was some Resource Icons by which I added right into it for a quick start and it took 24 over 50 available slots,
so I was in the point of adding original ones inspired by the main character which are a male and female astronaut, because their faces are hidden I thought giving them an helmet but decorated with emotions, and your video helped me to give the missing inspiration, the aspect will still look technical just like the persona of the game but with unicode colors, and like you said; simplicity and exaggeration, thanks a lot again, I hope to see more tutorials and projects of yours, until next time.
