@@jeffreykenoandutan2086 good or at least try a different shift. Im a very positive uplifting person. But my job is 7 days a week, and I find myself hitting lows where its hard for me to even get out of it because im so sleep deprived. For me its temporary because I plan to go back to college so i enjoy making this money for the long run. At the same time my mental and physical health comes first

I work 8pm til 8am. I get an hour break around 2am n often will get a 20minute nap if I’m really tired. I sleep easily whenever I lie down tbh unless I’m super duper awake but that’s rare as I sleep a lot.
JUST STICK TO 1 SLEEPING PATTERN AND YOULL SURVIVE. 2 YRS OVERNIGHT
I have no choice but to work a night shift for 6 months until I can switch
Astrid Jesus woman you’re the graveyard queen!
Same here
I don’t eat through my shift (10pm-7am) I do intermittent fasting and have lots of energy I do sleep before my shift
Daniel J I was thinking about doing that.
Daniel J I honestly think ur right it’s what you eat
You eat before or after? When do you sleep? I’m starting a similar schedule soon.
Paul Gov I eat my last bite at 4pm break my fast the next day at 8am sleep 8:30sh-3:30sh I do two meals I know is crazy schedule but I have to do it to save money from daycare (two little ones)
Paul Gov also after 4pm I only drink black coffee no sugar and water my meals are very low carb too
Sup akemi,
I work 12 hour nights and found this vid while searching for content related to ways I can remain comfortable during my shift and not limp home in pain every morning. Your tips were spot on, I do all of those things! One thing that helps me stay alert after working consecutive shifts is peppermint candy and gum. I work for solo (like the cups) I also work as a box packer and run a machine so staying alert is key to coming home in one piece. Sorry this message is so long but if you have any tips on comfort and ppe please enlighten me.
I chill the day before stay up and watch telly until 5-7am then sleep until 4pm to go on the bus for a 7pm to 7:30am shift on an nhs MH ward
2:50 Yes, yes, yes!! Get into the habit of changing your sleep cycle. Nothing will make you more tired than not sleeping on the day you begin 3rd shift! 💁
You look so tired and sleepy
I work in the Oilfield. I go to work at 4:30pm and drive a 1 hour and a half to location and get on location at 6pm and leave location at 6am. Get home at 7:30 am
15 hour shifts
First day of work on Monday. But, on Wednesday it will be night shift from 9pm-6am. Wish me luck!
I work night shift for 2 weeks then day shift for two weeks and let me just say I can not find a sleep pattern.
maybe sleep within the hours that you’re off no matter what shift and stick to those hours?
Dudeee my shifts starts today at 10 to 7am
I'm starting to work at a night shift in a few weeks so I hope this works well for me 😣
Michelle Nizama I’m starting next week and I’m scared 😭😭 how has it been like for you now?
@@ivonneespino2535 its awful I'm drinking so much coffee and it's gotten worse since I've started school again
Michelle Nizama omg im scared now 😭😭😭
Michelle Nizama when you weren’t at school was it still bad? How many hours of sleep did you get during the day if you don’t mind me asking 🥺
@@ivonneespino2535 well it was more like I had to work a night shift then work again with just three hours of sleep for a morning shift
Thank you for this! Btw i just wanna ask when is the best time to do workouts. Thank you in advanced.
Thank u bro because I was considering working the night shift at ups
Doing an overnight shift for Black Friday at target , I go in at 1am and come out at 9:30am
It’s funny seeing this in 2020
Tuns of vitamins, D3 mainly. 5-10,000 IUs and black out curtains
One tip:
Survive until 6 AM
Night shift janitor here. 5 pm to 5am
Me too but I can only do 6pm to 12/1am, night shift is making my vitamin D deficiency worse and the supplements are enough so I cut back my hours was working til 2/3am sometimes. I’m also sick of never seeing my husband or my family!
Amazingly informative and honest video.
thanks for this, it's very helpful!

6:30pm-6am working in an amazon warehouse
6:00pm to 4:30am for me.
Ryvesir I work at an Amazon Warehouse too! And that’s my shift as well. I’m trying to figure out how to keep energy during the shift
I’m working the same shift at Amazon too
I was recently hired at an Amazon warehouse. The hours are 1:50 am to 11:50 am. I'm not doing it.
@@pseudonymshqipe854 it's a nice easy way to make money but isn't recommend for a long period of time as a fulfilment associate unless you plan to climb the ranking ladder. I wouldn't have survived longer than the year I worked there if it wasn't for support from other associates at the Amazon warehouse in Tilbury.
Nice video. About to start this job next week 3:00-9:00.
Good luck bro!
You can't tell me that working like this has not negatively affected your health.
From a scientific standpoint it would negatively impact your health because we're not designed to be awake at night. The degree at which it affects our health varies by individual.
Start my 10-10am tonight no labor required so hope i dont fall asleep in a chair
That’s called jet lack
Being a sorter sucks...
Good luck with long term health issues
I work 8 till 5 and don't get home till 8.30 I find it ok
Midnight-1030am driving trucks...
Do you sleep the same on your days off?
Also what is your sleep schedule do you sleep up until you have to go to work or are you awake for a couple hours beforehand
Keyanna Pulido get home 11am play with the kids till 1pm go to bed till 7 or 8 pm wake up tuck the kids in read them stories. Drink coffee starting at like 9pm leave for work 11pm. My first day off I stay awake all day with family. Go to sleep early and spend first half of Sunday with them. Then about 3pm Sunday go to be wake up 11pm and start the week again
Anyone working night make it short term .i let my night shift go way to long and is taken is toll.
i've been doing it for 10 yrs now 11pm-7am in a wharehouse still doing now i love it
My plan is to do it for six months till I can save so I can quit and look for another plan comfortably sadly am so broke now and that’s the only choice I have
about to start working a 6mp to 4 am shift
Still in training in Buffalo, New York for the part time 1130pm-330am loader shift, im not gona over work myself cuz ive seen the job other loaders were doing and it looked pretty bad. They better not say anything
Eye mask is best need to be covered have some great sleep
I have night shift today I don’t know how I am going to survive 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Damn I'm getting the part time from 11-4 I can't even think about doing 11:30-8:30
The rough part is, most of the time I'm working until 9:00+
Akemi what's the pay ?
Minimum wage ($11) for part-time workers with benefits. Where I live, at least $18.75 for full-time workers.
Akemi thanks man one last question for the interview what kind of questions did they ask you and what did you wear
My bad, I didn't see this earlier. I was only asked "Why do you want to work here?" and I wore casual clothing for my interview because I didn't want them to get dirty. It'd be good to ask the interviewer themselves what to wear because it may vary based on facility.
Been working nights almost a year. If you want the extra money just get a part time job on the side. Totally not worth the hit to your health/quality of life
Thank you for your perfect English 💯
I’m doing days and 1 week night shift
Me working from 6pm to 6am everyday
I have 4pm-2:30am
I am working 9pm to 6am as a customer service representative i am traveling 2 hours going home & its so hard for me to sleep at 9 in the morning. its seems like so many things are coming to my mind if i am already in the bed which made me sleepless. I am feeling so tired during my shift & it affects my job so much. I dont know what to do that is why i search for a videos that can help me. I lost my weight as well..
If possible try doing meditation before going to bed or sleeping with calm music playing. It'll help soothe your thoughts before bed.
2nd day of irregular sleep huhu
so I'm about to do part time. 4-9 am. I saw your thing about the $500.00 union fee. If i'm only planing on being here for 5 months what should I do?
As of current I'm not sure if you can waive that fee. It's best to ask your supervisor about it
If you're talking about the teamsters initiation fee pretty sure u pay that over time and not up front, I dont remember it being that much tho. When ever u do pay that it will be covered for any Teamsters union job for life.
What fee is that for?
Do they let you bring your phone inside?
I work for the call center around 6-3amand how can I have better health.
For jobs like that I highly recommend two things:
1. Make sure you don't sit too much. Stand and stretch for a few minutes every hour. I promise it'll feel much better than sitting the whole time. Also this will help you stay awake.
2. Keep a really good eye on your diet. The more junk you put into your system, the slower you get. Fruits and healthy snacks over chips will keep your energy up. If you are interested I can create another video on my backlog to push for better health.
Hope this helps!
How does a nightshift schedule work soo do we go in on Monday at night to work or Sunday at night to work ???
Usually Monday at night unless stated by whoever your boss is
Thanks I’m just doing this for 6 months and then change shift to morning hopefully they go by fast
@@ponchiii2106 you got this!
How far was your drive back home?
Not too long about 15-20 minutes
Good question...mine is close to an hour.
Music is so loud
how many breaks/lunch do you get? and for how long?
Since I work full time I work two shifts and have 3 breaks. The first shift goes from 11:30-3:30 AM and the second shift goes from 4:30-8:30AM
One break is 10 minutes and it's in between the second and third hour of the first shift. So anywhere from 1:30-2:30 AM.
The lunch break is in between my shifts and is usually a 1 hour unpaid break. This is usually at 3:30 AM. I can opt to cut my lunch down to 20 minutes to get a paid lunch so those 20 minutes become overtime.
My final break is another 10 minutes in between the second and third hour of my second shift. So anywhere between 6:30-7:30 AM.
To make it easier, if you work part time you'll only get a 10 minute break.
I'm working 10-6-30am (gulp) tomorrow for the first time in my life (I'm 28) Wish me luck.
Karla Lagunas howd it go?
@@Thelifeofgisel so far so good. Thankd. Red bulls are the only thing that keep me awake
Too much junk food, I ate NOTHING but drank water and I was fine. You eat too much!!!
