My problem with vail was always the lack of content. The gameplay is the best in class. I genuinely cant wait and hopefully it gives some competition to tabor
This is sick. I've always loved Vail for its gun mechanics (the best guns in VR in my opinion). Them trying to compete with one of my favorite VR games, Tabor, is so exciting.
Hopefully this pushes the tabor devs to ramp up their quality. Im not much of a fan of Vail but I have to admit their mechanics, weapons, maps, etc are all much more optimized for standalone than tabor, and it shows in how little bugs you run into while playing, especially with the desyncing on Tabor's servers, wonky guns, poorly made collision meshes, etc...
I feel pretty well the same way. An extraction shooter from these devs and this game would prove a far more quality product than GOT. Hopefully see it sooner than later.
HELL YES!!! this would be super fun one of the guys told me they are actually working on another gaming mode like Overwatch with pushing the payload as well
as a heavy vail lore enthusiast I can say that 6:37 is straight up wrong. There is some very well written lore, but it is not shown to you, and if you're not looking for it/paying attention, it's very easy to miss literally all of it.
I'm wondering how they plan on making loot work (there has to be *some* loot) when every gun has already been balanced towards a CS like shooter. It's hard to make rare power weapons from/for a balanced competitive shooter, and if they make specific items/weapons only for the extraction side, it splits/limits their ability to develop for both sides of the game (lack of content versatility)
I think it may not be a loot focused extraction shooter although could be something like contractors showdown with how they have a limited amount of lootible items and attachments.
let me remind you that with every major update, they make sure the code is polished and very modular, essentially making updates and patches much easier over time, meaning quality will only be uphill if the correct steps are taken by the developers, i have hope for the future of VRFPS
What are you comparing it to though, a flat screen game? At any given time Vail can have a couple/few hundred on. Ghost of Tabor numbers? Nah. But solid when comparing it to many other VR shooters. It appears you are uninformed my man. Vail is been on quite a climb.
I hope its not like hunt showdown! I hope its going to be like DMZ, i enjoy looting in extraction shooters, its lame if theres only one thing to extract, i hope they dont take this cop out route, and i hope they add certain mechanics for the mode.
I 100 percent agree, but I have some reason to believe it will be more like an objective base game and not something that has a good looting and extracting aspect.
I picked up vail when it went for 2 bucks on a steam sale. Haven’t been able to properly play it since my computer can’t handle it. I was already wanting to play it this makes me wanna even more
I hope the extraction shooter mode also pushes ghost of tabor to step their game up. Tabor is fun and all, but the amount of bugs and the underdeveloped maps and scenery makes the game so boring to play for any longer than an hour.
bro you aint quirky like that especially when you're explaining what you mean. Just say that they could do better than tabor, or just dont comment at all cause that's already known
good, dudes that made ghosts of tabor are just copy pasting other peoples games and slapping vr on them. Just smacked tf out of some assets and now they barely support it, oh but they got DLC though.
well yeah its good. Competition is good. Ghosts of tabor has a style of extraction shooter planted thats completely different than what vail will be, but more attention = more funding (effort) on the genre. Also thats uh not what tabor is btw you're misinformed
Vail promised social hub two years ago earned 2 million an only gave 3 updates an wants more money to do what other games are already doing. They need to stick to a niche an stop with the cash grabbing imagine them putting in as much effort in developing the game rather than marketing asking for money in my opinion
@@jakeypants_YTit’s the fact this this is “vails” Hail Mary, research Axelab you’ll see they’ve taken millions in VC investments and have not even come close to being able to pay investors back…vails isn’t gonna be around much longer if this doesn’t work, crunch base and own statistics they’ve shown on their website show they are in over their head
@@JoshyyV2they actually got over 10 millions, nft not included. They claim they have over 5 million in revenue, which means not a single investor made a single cent on their investment. I DONT HAVE TO PLAY SHITS OF TABOR EVEN AGAIN LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tabor will always be the worst VR game I’ve ever played so Im so happy :)
'Hunt being polished' - I dont think looting for ammo/coins to buy the buttons on a Hunter's Shirt is 'extraction looter' material esp a game that runs pretty rough lol You didn't mention the late Starsiege Dead Zone on Steam or all the other extraction shooters on steam - there are plenty of them out there. VAIL SHOULD do stuff Tabor does - the looting is important and disrupts the equilibrium of a smooth play through (the physicla act of taking loot costs time)
I hope vail can do a good job in the extraction game, Tabor's production team is very lazy, the game has not changed fundamentally for a year and a half, and he has not updated the important elements of Tarkov's gameplay, which makes me very disappointed.
Considering GOT came out only about a year and a half ago it has defiantly made some good changes, but yeah I know what you mean and that is a good point. It will begin to feel more like Tarkov with the new missions, but this stuff is still so far out with a game that still feels like a clunky mess.
Lol tabor is so boring! a year pass and you get updates that should've been there at official meta release. Devs have no idea what there doing! That's what happens when you focus on two other games when you still have a broken mess to fix!
My problem with vail was always the lack of content. The gameplay is the best in class. I genuinely cant wait and hopefully it gives some competition to tabor
Same here. That is another reason why this news is so exiting!
Hey appreciate you covering our dev efforts! Means a lot
yeahhhh we wanna make a lot more, need more hands 😅

Every time I play tabor I think “why has no one cloned this but with less jank”
Finally, Bugs of Tabor will get competition !!!!!
Good video JakeyPants, thanks for putting this on my radar. Will be keeping an eye out for sure!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching. Appreciate you.
Can’t wait for the campaign

Very solid foundation. The gunplay in this game is top teir

This is what tabor needed tbh. Games and companies without competition usually aren’t as good as those with competition

Yup. That mode should be out sooner than this also.
As an antisocial adult of middle age I’m really not a PvP fan, so seeing the extraction mode and hopefully a campaign I’m buzzing.
Campaign is going to be cool. Definitely can’t wait for that.
Vail would be insane if they add a campaign
an epic campaign would go hard!
This news is amazing I thought the exact same thing. It has the best feel on weapons and jumping mechanics . And moving mechanics. I can’t wait 🎉
Same here!
Holy f**k! They are not playing around
for real, homie. I hope this comes around soon!

i cant wait for this due to the fact that tabor is, to put it lightly, lacking..
