We talked about this. Idk that's big talk from VAIL. I don't see that much going into it as in it's not going to be THE priority build. It may turn out to have a minim build effort "extrication shooter" add-on feel. I don't go to a sea food place for the stake. But time will tell.
Right it's probably just going to be a bigger version of artifact, when I hear extraction shooter I instantly go to DMZ, arena breakout, greyzone warfare, zero seivert, vail needs to change that title to something else because I'm sure it'll be the most bare bones mode ever.
I can imagine it being really cool in the future but at the moment the glasses are still too expensive for me but I think that will change in the next few years I hope it will be really cool again XD
I know Extraction is going to be bigger than golf update but I jokingly invite friend to try VAIL to play mini golf only to find out there was only 5 courses lol (At least they added more now)
Besides the problems that come with the extraction shooter genre, there's also the accessibility and feel for how it would work in vr. Honestly, the only reason I play vr games is because of how different they are from flatscreen games. Being able to interact with the environment, how looting feels, and how quick you can swap from looting casually to being in the center of a gunfight are all great feelings to be apart of, but if that isn't there, than why spend the money on a vr headset in the first place? I'm not concerned that vail won't make a good extraction shooter, I'm worriried they won't make a good *vr* extraction shooter.
I think it'll be okay call of duty did the same thing with DMZ and that was fun also I feel they should follow the arena breakout formula where is no team damage and you can have up to 4 teammates. Hopefully they keep it futuristic
I believe you touched on my concerns, but my biggest is that Vail will need dozens of new systems implemented on-top of it's current systems and that is where I am worried they might drop the ball. It's almost like announcing you want to run before you can walk. If they release the CO-OP mode first and let players provide feedback to refine that system, the AI, how that loop works, then I will have higher hopes for the extraction mode. As of now, there really isn't a system for armor, ammo types, loot, inventory, exp, and a very weak currency ATM. It can be done. The team working on Vail has proven they know how to make a great game but this feels like scope creep. Personally, what I love about Vail is that I can jump into it whenever I need a breather from other games and I can pick it up and play for 10-20 minutes... but usually stay for much longer. It is a reprieve from the extraction genre, but if it is going to be one too... then I will have to find another game to fill that gap.
Thank you. This was a really thought out comment that gives me some points for the devs working on this. I think you are right. It's wild that the extraction mode is next on their list and campaign and battle royal are after because I think those are smaller systems. But if anyone can pull it off it would be their team for sure.
I know this video is about VAIL but I really wanna pick up tarkov, I like highly punishing games but whenever I look up stuff about it people just say “don’t play tarkov”. I’m hesitant to buy it
Like I said. It is the most in depth, realistic and developed gameplay loop I have ever seen in a game. I have over 1600 hours in it. If you like punishing games I think it will be your favourite of all time.
Also thats strange because when i die in DMZ i lose both weapons, perks, armor, big pack, cash and everything i looted, i need to know what DMZ game you're talking about?!
@jakeypants_YT that's an interesting take as every single item extract is the reason I gain xp unlock new missions, level up, unlock extra insured slots and cool down timers, bigger wallets and literally every thing else lol, we definitely playing a different game, no need to get sensitive lol.
i love VAIL so much but i'm super ass, im hoping this extraction shooter mode, or the possible PvE mode will allow me to play without me getting constantly clapped
Honestly, it seems like they are trying to add to much to a single game. I think that maybe people will be confused with so many game modes to chose from. Maybe it should be its own separate game?
From what I have been told they want to use the development of this game to create a massive VR gaming studio with many different games. It's pretty ambitious for sure
yeah one of the reasons i stopped playing ghosts is because of the lack of depth in the tasking
Hopefully changing soon!
You knew I was watching hahahaha
lmao I was counting on it!
We know you won't disappoint brother!
I am excided for the news on this mode! You brought up some good points.
Me to. No matter how it turns out I am sure I’ll play it a lot
I DID NOT KNOW ABT THIS ANNOUNCEMENT???? HYPED ASF
crazy right?!
Arena Breakout: Infinite👍
Great PC game, even better than eft in my opinion, it's simpler and easier to learn, and best of all its free!

@@Blujustice maybe more like a team play to extract an item and escape by moving to an helicopterextraction spot

That is always a focus in VR games and I will be sure to make it one in VAIL when we start working on the mode.
A brand new extraction shooter just came out. Astro Hunters VR is really fun if you can get past the bugs in that one too lol
apparently it came out as a full release title. Something like that coming out with that many bugs is concerning

yup. they have a lot of options for adding these great little features to the game.
Nice social hub clips. I can only wonder who those people are?

Yeah but it doesn’t friggin matter. Nothing about what I lose hardly affects the next raid in any meaningful way

They want there to be something for everyone
It will
Is there another game I could practice in to get better at Vail?
I would just play VAIL. Practice practice!
No, except.. Contractors aim training maps are sometimes better than the in game aim trainer for vail!
