I love my Z4 so much that I'll watch someone else wash theirs.
me too;-)
PPF is self healing for fine scratches so i never worry like you do as the sun heat removes them.
Exactly! It’s a peace of mind!
Nice video
Hey Horseman…nice work and nice spec on your Z4! I also own a G29 series Z4 in mineral white - albeit the 4-cylinder. This is my 3rd Z4…had E89 before it and owned an E85 many years before that one (had other cars in between). Just love BMW roadsters I guess. Anyway, I clean my car every week and your video has inspired me to start cleaning inside my engine bay 🤭. And similar to you, wheels can take as long as the car itself…but it’s worth it in the end (IMHO). By chance have you considered cleaning your glass and mirrors with cleaning vinegar? Everyone has their preferred products etc. to clean….just thought I’d pass the suggestion along if you’re open to trying it. I’ve used chemical brothers and other brands over the years and honestly for cleaning glass and other reflective interior trim on the car (i.e. piano black trim)….it works wonders with a soft terry cloth….just my $0.02….looking forward to other videos you post..
Hey! As you may be able to see with my other videos, I actually had an alpine white with magma red interior on my 30i. Just recently upgraded to the M40i.
I have not even HEARD of cleaning vinegar. Windows (specifically the windshield) are the absolute worst. Especially inside the cabin. I'll have to take a look at this, but if it has a smell to it, maybe the inside wouldn't be a good idea lol.
Yes…nice upgrade for sure to the M40i…gotta love that B58! And for the vinegar…there’s no residual smell is left in the vehicle also 100% no streaky glass with a terry cloth. I find other glass cleaners to leave streaks even though they claim to be streak-free. I recommend you try the cleaning vinegar on a small area and see what you think. You just might be a convert 😉
Will do ill try it out
Horseman, I am ordering my Z4 M40i soon and still tweaking the spec. I am wondering in the short time you've had yours, what's your feeling on the moonlight top vs. standard black? Thanks.
So I’ve had both. The standard black top was good, however the moonlight looks much nicer especially when it hits the light just right. There are times that the top just looks gray though. (Again, depending on the light). If I had to do it all over again I would stick with moonlight. Looks higher quality, the shiny black in the sunlight is incredible, and it doesn’t seem to carry the creases quite as much. I drive almost exclusively top down.
I also talk about this in another video on my channel where I discuss differences between the 30i and M40i. ;) I’m not monetized, so I just put info out there for folks. I just want people to make a little more informed decisions.
@@SoA-Horseman I did see that so thought to ask your opinion now that you’ve had it for a while. Thanks for the info.
@SoA-Horseman I have the moonlight top, and it does show the creases, and it really bugs me. I'm thinking of dyeing it black down the road. I'm not sure if that's a good idea though.
