Porsche 918 Weissach/Hippie Das aber auch nur, weil die Elektronik es mittlerweile (muss man selbst zugeben) es eigentlich besser kann als der pfuschende, fehlerbehaftete Mensch. Und natürlich steigert es die Konzentration auf alles andere, wenn man nicht noch selbst schalten muss. Ein Wettbwerbsvorteil, der aber gewissermaßen für alle automatisierten Fahrzeuge heutiger Zunft gilt...
exoroxx Dann schau dir mal die Rekordrunde des Aventador SVJ an! Der Italiener schaltet noch selbst und ist trotzdem der Schnellste... ;-)
Noch mal zurück zum Getriebe, da schreibt die Sport Auto selbst:
"Dank der schnellen Hoch- und Runterschaltvorgänge kann man der Automatik das Wechseln der Fahrstufen im Sport-Plus-Modus theoretisch komplett selbst überlassen. Als schnellste Gangart erweist sich im Grenzbereich jedoch ein Mix - runterschalten per linker Lenkradwippe und automatisch hochschalten lassen. Das Getriebe trifft dann beim Gangwechsel die für den Biturbo (sic!) jeweils ideale Hochschaltdrehzahl."
Das geht natürlich nur, wenn man nicht in die manuelle Gasse wechselt, denn dort hält er den Gang auch noch am Begrenzer.
Es ist ja gut möglich, dass der Aventador SVJ manuelle Eingriffe deutlich mehr benötigte - ich weiß es nicht, gefahren bin ich ihn noch nicht. ;) Jedenfalls trifft die Einschätzung der Sport Auto meine bisherige Erfahrung. Wenn ich an den Pedalen zupfe, dann mehr aus Spaßgründen. Wenn es um die reine Performance geht, traue ich der kompetenten Getriebeabstimmung den größeren Effekt zu. Der Fahrerlebnisschalter wandert bei mir sowieso fast immer zu Sport Plus...
EDIT: Kleine Anmerkung noch... beim B58B30M0 handelt es sich um einen Single-Turbo mit Twin-Scroll-Lader. Da die Sport Auto nicht das erste Mal mit dem B58 in Kontakt tritt, wundert mich dieser Fehler.
exoroxx Natürlich ist mir klar, das es so am schnellsten geht! Aber es SIEHT halt "falsch" aus und hat etwas von einem Affen, der in einem ferngesteuerten Auto sitzt... Ihr wisst schon, was ich meine... ;-)

Given how the 718 S did a 7:42 according to Porsche, the M-lite Z4 being driven by a 3 party doing a 7:55, the Z4 is actually quite impressive
I guess times under 7:50 can be managed. That's really impressive - it's M3 CSL country...
Not to mention that he (Gebhart) did 7:47 min with the 718 Cayman S PDK. Only 8 seconds... on 20,6 km of track. :)

Do you all EVEN realise this is around the same time of the M2 dct and the new M2 comp (or...a M5 F10) ??? And with 30hp less, without a propre lsd and being a convertible with a soft-top compromising rigidity. This G29 chassis is just amazing ! Throw it a tune and you good for a healthy 400hp and 600nm, a propre lsd, and you probably gain another big 10sc around the ring.

What are you even on about? This doesn't have an open differential with brake assists, this has a proper eLSD.
@@Eastcoastcarclub how's it overshadowed? The Supra's a bit lighter therefore manages slightly better laptimes. The Z4 is much better damped and didn't suffer from those woeful rear-end instability issues the Supra had.

within 5 seconds from the legendary M3 CSL which had semi slick Sport Cup tyres. pretty impressive, but that Gebhardt drives like a nutter. I think if he would drive that CSL today he'd do a low 7:30...

Going by lap times, this goes head to head with the 996 gt3. I wonder how the Porsche would do with the same tyres fitted.
The 718 S was driven in 7:47min by Gebhardt. How fast do you think the standard 718 would have been under the same circumstances? Pricewise it‘s the competitor, not the S.

The 718 isn't competitive price-wise, this is a big misconception because reviewers only talk about base price and completely ignore how much options cost. Spec-for-spec, the 718 T is about 15-20k more expensive than the Z4. The S is another 10-15k on top.
The fully specced Z4 is about 78k, the 718 is close to 100.

Fact is fact, it took 8 years to Audi to beat the M3 E46 CSL Nurb record with an AWD V10 R8. Here is a soft top convertible car, 7:55 is really good according to the car specs and it body type.

Hehehe.... Jemand der sich auskennt :D Ich hatte, noch bevor ich das Video überhaupt gestartet habe, exakt den selben Gedanken. Da mehrere Runden gefahren werden, sind die Bremsscheiben mit tödlicher Sicherheit K.O.
Flattern durch Hitze ist normal. Selbst beim M3 halten die Bremsen keine 20 Minuten durch, wenn man hart fährt. Man muss für Touristenfahrten und Trackdays bei fast jedem Auto andere Beläge und Scheiben kaufen.
Christoph Teichmann das stimmt. An meinem M2 habe ich auch sofort die Beläge gewechselt weil die Serienbeläge schnell anfingen zu rubbeln. Aber das Rubbeln/Flattern hier im Video kommt wesentlich stärker rüber. Kann natürlich auch nur täuschen! Mal gespannt was Christian in der nächsten Sportauto dazu meint ✌🏻
Christoph Teichmann - Meinst du widerstandsfähigeres Material, oder einen extra Satz zum kaputtfahren? Hintergrund ist der, dass ich noch keinen BMW gefahren bin, welcher keine schlagenden Scheiben hatte. Mein e39 520i mit Törtchenblechen, mein e90 318i mit so lala Anlage und aktuell mein F10 535i mit 350mm Klopern. Bei allen reichten 2-3 Bremsungen von 200 auf 120 und die Scheiben waren wellig. Darum kann ich mir absolut und überhaupt nicht vorstellen, wie sowas auch nur eine Runde Nordschleife überleben soll. Ich würde mich nichtmal trauen "normal" über die Scheife zu fahren.
@@Tomelino Ich hatte nur mal einen alten E36 mit BMW Scheiben. Jetzt habe ich einen 123d als Coupe und habe sofort die Scheiben und Beläge gewechselt. Einen M3 bin ich ein paar mal gefahren und da flattert nicht, aber etwas Fading.

M30i? You mean the M35i (X2 and new 1 Series F40), presumably.
They came up with it due to the fact, that once they started with turbo powered engines (never mind that there were also 2002 turbo and 745i E23 in the history books before), there was only a 330i on the top. How would you call a 3-Liter-Turbo then? They've chosen 335i, which makes absolutely sense concerning the power and torque - it's practically like a 4 liter V8. The successor then gets a higher number due to his higher figures. BMW wanted to get a line with 30/40/50/60 as indicating numbers, therefore we've got 40d and 40i now. And BMW wanted to make place for the new M35i, which is a 4-cylinder-engine.
The new M35i has the same figures as 2,0-Liter-I4 like the 3,0-Liter-I4 in 2006 - and even more torque. That's quite fair, I guess...

exoroxx totally wrong, bmw named cars not by their engine volumes long before the turbos came in. E23 733i was 3.2 liters, 735i was 3.4, e38, e39 740i and 540i was 4.4, e46 330d was 2.9, 323i was 2.5, 320i was 2.2 and so on, it is crazy that people still to this day think that engine volumes are somehow related to the last two digits in bmw model name...

And you forgot more examples like 318tds E36 (1.7), 315 E21 (1.6), 318is E36 (1.9), 325e E30 (2.7), 325d E90 (3.0), 735i E65 (3.6), 550i/650i/750i (4.8), 118d E87 (2.0), 116i/118i E87 (2.0), 116d/316d (2.0), 125i E82/E88 (3.0) and so on. But look at the time when BMW started to produce turbo engines again. The number refers always to the power output. Therefore BMW launched a 2 liter I4 and called it 328i. The updated version (B48 instead of N20) got the 330i nameplate again. It's the same business like Mercedes does.
And it's absolutely mayhem with Audi nowadays... 55 TFSI is a 3 liter V6. Fine.

Die Testfahrzeuge wurden aber genau dafür in mühsamer Handarbeit gebaut. :D
Dass BMW Testfahrzeuge lange vor Serienanlauf an die Presse ausgibt, kenne ich bspw. vom 530d (G30), M850i, 330i (G20) oder eben jetzt vom Z4 (G29). Dann ist der Kunde nicht mehr der Beta-Tester, sondern die Presse. :D
Wenn sich dann der Schreiberling im Wald verabschiedet kann der dann wenigstens nichts mehr schlechtes schreiben :-)

Sorry, aber ich verstehe nicht den Sinn dahinter, dass man ein "normales" anstatt ein Top-Modell für irgendwelche Rundenzeiten auf der Nordschleife nimmt.. Und auch generell: ALLE sportlichen Modelle (M, AMG, RS (sowohl Audi als auch Ford) etc.) überstehen im Serientrimm keine drei Runden Knallgas auf der Nordschleife (entweder die Überhitzung des Motors, der Reifen wg. des teilweise grenzwertigen Querschnitts oder der Bremsen treten ein).
Einzelne Supersportwagen, Sonderanfertigungen sowie richtig vorbereitete Rennwagen können Rennstrecke ab - der Rest gibt vor "mit Renngenen" ausgestattet zu sein, aber wenn das Teil für die Rennstrecke fit gemacht werden soll, müssen so viele (zum Teil sehr teure) Anpassungen gemacht werden, damit das halbwegs haltbar wird.
Das Video wurde mir vorgeschlagen und deshalb habe ich reingeguckt. Verstehe nicht den Hype von diesen ganzen Rundenrekorden (die eine Privatperson in 99,9% der Fälle nicht erreichen können und in den meisten Fällen garnicht wollen).. Kann mir vielleicht jemand erklären, was an diesen Rekorden für den Verkehrsalltag so wichtig sein soll?
Ich liebe Autos und viele Arten von Motorsport. Im Alltag habe ich mit meinen 250 Diesel-PS kaum die Gelegenheit, mal durchzuladen. Die Straßen sind oft voll, im schlechten Zustand und man will seinen Führerschein behalten. Und auf der Autobahn kann man ihn mit viel Glück mal eine Minute bei 250 laufen lassen, bis dann irgendjemand mit 120 ohne Blick in den Rückspiegel rauszieht und für schöne Hotspots auf meinen Bremsscheiben sorgt..
Weil viele Leute eben keinen M3 für die Rennstrecke haben. Andere Scheiben und Beläge aufs Auto und schon kann man mal einen Nachmittag Spaß haben. 3 Runden am Stück sind für die meisten Fahrer sowieso zu anstrengend.
Damit löst man temporär das Bremsenproblem, aber viele andere nicht. Na gut, ich habe da scheinbar eine andere Meinung und Einstellung gegenüber der Rennstrecke, deshalb bringt die Diskussion uns wohl auch nicht weiter. Bleiben wir dabei, dass jeder mit seinem Geld/Autos machen kann, was er will ;)

Eine Rundenzeit auf einer Rennstrecke ist so ziemlich die einzige Möglichkeit wirklich das querdynamische Potential eines Autos zu erfassen. Vor allem wenn Fzg. X auf der Rennstrecke schneller ist als Fzg. Y, obwohl es längsdynamisch unterlegen ist. Und mich interessiert z.B. das querdynamische Potential mehr als das längsdynamische, auch für die Autos mit denen ich nicht auf die Rennstrecke gehe.
Also das 99 Prozent der Käufer nicht ansatzweise in der Lage sind oder auch gewillt sind, ihr Auto so zu bewegen, da hast du recht. Aber durch diese Rundenzeiten kann man erstens sehen, welches Auto eher sportlich ist, bzw wie viel man an Agilität zu verzichten hat, wenn man bsw. Von einem 3ee auf einen 5er geht. Und was noch viel wichtiger ist: Je schneller ein Auto auf der rennstrecke ist, bzw das Fahrweg besser ist, desto mehr Reserven habe ich als normaler Auto Fahrer, wenn ich mal in eine brenzliche Situation komme.
Aber so einen grossen hype aus diesen Runden rekorde zu machen sind ich auch übertrieben

So what do we learn from this: First of all, i have seen thousands of Nordschleife OnBoard Videos, but never before "heard" a brake with vibrations that bad. So definately the Brakes are not suited for track use. Second, a 340hp car goes GPS 250+ on Döttinger Höhe? Haha, that car had more than 340hp for sure. So maybe BMW cheated with engine Power once again, since the M5 in the sportauto supertest had 671hp on the dyno and is rated with 600hp..... we will see once the dyno measurement of the Z4 is published in the print Magazine....
This isn’t a track-oriented car at all, that’s why it’s called Z4 M40i and not Z4 M. Peak power doesn’t tell the full story, BMW’s current engines have a wide power and torque band so naturally the cars perform particularly good... But yeah the production car will probably make over 340hp when dynoed (which doesn’t mean they cheated, if the customer cars make the same power like it’s the case for the M5 then it’s not cheating because the test car would be representative)
In it's American configuration, the car has 380hp.
Civic Type R's with "310 and 320"hp hit 265kph?
The Supra is even more promising now.

руль легковат, водитель чаще просто бросает газ чем тормозит. Перчатки обязательны. Задок шумит и ерзает, резину для рекорда можно было б поставить и поспециальнее. Укорочение базы палка о двух концах - не совсем то что нужно на Нордшляйфе. Трясет сильнее чем на "атоме" - что оч. странно. Время не то что ожидалось при 340 лошадях :(

That is Honda's marketing lap. If you look at lap times it did with publication drivers, it is much slower than cars that run 7:50

So basically you have to compare the Sport Auto Supertest Lap of the Civic for comparison. That was 8:15min. So 20 sec slower.

Hatte echt große Hoffnung der G29 wird ein richtig schicker Roadster, aber wenn ich mir jetzt die finale Version anschaue, hat das schon einen gewissen fremdschäm- Faktor... das Ding sieht aber auch wirklich von keiner Seite schön aus und man merkt dass die Japaner hier Ihre Finger im Spiel hatten, leider zu viel davon. So zerklüftet... hier noch ein Knick, da noch ein Knick, da noch ne Ausbuchtung, hier ein Stück ausgestellt.... katastrophal, keine ruhigen fließenden Linien.. nichts harmoniert wirklich miteinander. Die Glubschaugen setzen dem ganzen noch die Krone auf und wenn schon digitales Mäusekino, hätte es nicht geschadet doch etwas bei Mercedes oder Audi zu kopieren, obwohl man mit dem black Panel aus der vorletzten 5er Generation doch schon perfektes Instrumentenkombi im hauseigenen Regal hatte 🤔 damit werde ich dann doch ein gebrauchtes E89 Modell als Drittwagen erwerben, denn der war für mich mit M Paket der mit Abstand schönste. Schade um die verlorene Zeit die ich nun gewartet habe aber dafür zumindest ein paar Euro gespart. Sportwagen waren sie alle nicht und da ändert auch das jetzige Stoffverdeck und die paar Kilo weniger nichts.... wenn ich auf Sportlichkeit und mehr Fahrdynamik setze, würde ich definitiv zum Boxter greifen, auch wenn der natürlich ein Stück mehr kostet, ist es im Gesamtpaket aber auch wert und das schreibe ich alles als absoluter BMW Fan, der vom aktuellen Z4 Modell maßlos enttäuscht ist. Viele Köche verderben den Brei und das wurde hiermit eindeutig bewiesen

Die Bremse ist total am Ende! Bremscheiben sind verzogen. Hört man beim Bremsen. Keine gute Publicity ....

das ist das abs du vogel, ABS Regeleingriffe sind bei BMW "stärker", merkt man im Bremspedal und hört man auch.
Nicht sehr nett solche Vorwürfe zu machen wenn man absolut keinen Dunst hat. Wenn du jemals mit einem BMW (ab 2005 rum ca) gebremst hast, könntest du das wissen, dass die Bremsscheibe nicht verzogen ist.

"Not for a 340 hp roadster" "This isn't a racecar dumbass" Well, 7:55 IS quick but it's still slower than some of the other small sports cars, sedans, SUVs or hot hatches - some driven by the same driver - from recent years. I guess the new Z4 is just a bit too heavy.
Should wait for a time set with a production car before judging though.
