Got the grail AL 7 2by and, for the price point, it's absolutely fantastic, cheap, versatile, light. I live in Rome, Italy, riding 70% tarmac (but if ever been in Rome you know our road are very close to gravel 🙂) and 30% gravel/off road) and it perfectly suites my needs. Can only recommed this fantastic bike! Cheers

Brilliant. I laughed so many times, yet came out much wiser. More of this please!

I got the Grizl SL8. Superb bike, incredibly versatile, and once you tune in the adjustments, you can clock hours and miles on it. In regards to the leaf-spring seatpost, it really increases the comfort, however it does come with some downsides:
    - it requires cleaning and reapplying carbon-paste on it, otherwise it starts creaking and cracking (drove me nuts and initially I thought it was from the BB)
    - since it compresses the moment you sit down, you will need to compensate this by moving your saddle more forward than you normally would (luckily the flip-head lets you do this)
    - it has a weight interval where it works and that's for riders that are 70-80+ kg weight, any more than that and it will bend too much (max load is 100kg), and any less and it won't do much at all.
But, given it's usefulness, I highly recommend it.

I could test drive both, the Grizl and the Inflite, and these slight differences in geometry did make a huge difference how it felt to me. It was so much, that I changed my mind from Inflite to Grizl as the Grizl geometry felt so much more comfortable.

Could you please do some videos on triathlon/tt bikes? I really enjoyed your speedmax video and I think that category as a whole deserves a bit more love from the bikotic channel. It'd be great if you could do a whole comparison of different brands as they all look so radically different.

I just ordered the Inflite CF SL 6, but since it is not in stock, I won't get it till April. It seems like a great deal for the money. Since it is my first serious "road" bike, I plan to used it for riding on road, gravel and on light MTB Trails. I don't plan to go on super long rides, and I don not care much for top speed, so I will see if the original 11 speed will be OK. Maybe a 42t or 44t instead of the 40t in front and some road oriented gravel tyres for the summer and the CX tyres for winter and bad weather. I rode a lot of BMX and some different single speed bikes, and I really like the 1x drive, it looks so much better and less stuff can break. I can't wait to hit my local trails.

Awesome video, thanks!! I just purchased the Grail AL eTap, before seeing this. After seeing it, a Grizl might have suited me better for bike packing, though there was no AL eTap offering... Cool geometry comparisons though super insightful

Thanks to your video I will now buy the Grail SLX 9 which is exactly the one you show. Canyon should have done more to explain the real position of the hoods and the drops which is in reality higher than the GRIZL which I already have (as well as the inflite)

Great video, looking at Gravel bikes to purchase. Like the idea of having two sets of wheels. One mixed, the other more road. Canyon appear to have good reviews. Thank you for posting.

I got the grail last spring. Its a great bike, versatile. The bar/look of the bike doesnt bug Me when in riding But i must say, it is not easy on the eyes when Looking at it. I think if i were to buy one of these today i would have chosen the grizl. Looks more traditional and better imo and even more versatile with room for bigger tires and yes of course, skinnier tires

I’m enjoying the bike so far ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
