      Absolutely! Yes I hear it all the time. A lot of therapist talk to you about so much extra features that they lose the purpose. I have always like to make simple and stick to the goal. I am so glad you enjoyed there will be more to come. Thanks for your comment!

      Can't find the smart on or smart stop option on my machine.
      When I get up at night to use the restroom, I have to turn my machine off each time. I miss the auto off from my old machine.. 😮

      @@margaretarmijo1062 I am so sorry I did not see this question. If your on the home screen with the Blue and Purple Pinkish options. If you got to My Options the blue option. If you scroll down to the bottom. You have Smart Start and Smart Stop. To the right is a little lever type button they both need to be blue. If not just press so they both are and go back to the home screen. Your smart on and off should work from there. I once again apologize for the super late response. Have a great day!

    Thank you, thank you, 1000 times thank you. As others mentioned they get you a machine and you’re mostly on your own. So I’ve watched dozens of videos on the setup and use of the Resmed 11. Your video was the best by far. It really showed me how to setup and use my machine. Also, what is important and realistic cleaning intervals. For years I resisted a CPAP machine. When I became so tired every day, and my blood pressure would climb, I finally got the machine. It’s a life changer. I’m 81 and my energy and stamina are back. That’s why I want to be certain I keep using and maintaining the machine. Which your splendid video will help me do.

    Received my air sense 11 and made excuses why I couldn't use it for an entire month. Spoke to a close friend about this damn cpap machine. Turns out he's been using a cpap religiously for years. Since I admire and trust my friend and started using the cpap. Now I love the machine. Great video.

    Outstanding points you covered. Being a long-time C-PAP user and having picked up my new machine from the VA. They walked me through using the machine and where to order new supplies. I do like this C-PAP Res-Med way over anything I have used prior. I even take camping and hiking trips. Back up my HALO battery which gives me 3-days. My only suggestion was that I was about to stop your video. At the first intro point tell the viewer everything you going to be covering. That will keep folks like me tuned in longer to watch all the great info and like you this is one if not the BEST of all C-PAP. I would also suggest to anyone over 10 years to get a new SLeep STUDY as things have changed and there is much more they can tell you about your sleeping habits and issues. I learned in RIM sleep (which happens a few times per night) my jaw drops open and I breathe through my mouth. Good Luck.

    Great video. I never use the bags that come with these, I have bought a few nice camera backpacks and a medical equipment tag. I travel a LOT and have never had one issue with this. The camera bags have quick open sides to pull the device out if you need to for TSA, lots of padding, and enough room to carry most of your usual carryon stuff (tablet, xbox controller, backup battery, sunglasses, umbrella). With the medical equipment tag, I never get questioned, and the backpack I use now works great under seats.

      Wonderful! So happy it helped, I try to explain detail but to the point of what is needed. Let me know if anything else is needed I would be happy to help!

      Wow, thanks you so much for the encouragement! We really appreciate it, I am passionate about what I do and care for patients. Over the many years setting up all age groups, I have found simplicity is key. You need to actually be able to use the machine to get the benefit everyone shouts about. Then if you would like to know more detailed technical information you can. Some people never use because there bombarded with all the medical terminology, advanced features and programs etc. They walk out of the office or the tech leaves the home and they have no idea what to do, kind of funny but it is not. Glad you found helpful really, please reach out to me whenever needed. 8444516555 ext. 005 I would be glad to help if able.

      Hi,
      Thank you so much for the kind words.!! Very encouraging, I think the biggest thing I try to stress with theses CPAP set ups is simplicity. A lot of techs and Clincians over analyze a lot of information that confuses patient's honestly! I think less on the shoulders allows it to be easier to get used to the mask and get the sleep we need. Then we can look into the more detailed information if needed. Thanks again Have a Great Day!!

      Simply, hook up the tubing to the back of machine on the other end connect you mask of choice. Take out chamber and fill below the max line put back in. Have the unit plugged in place mask on your face or nose.. Once you do simply press the power button above the machine and your good to go. Absolutely! I appreciate you watching and enjoying my video. So there are several places to put the mask either in the front compartment next to the power cord. In the netted compartment up top when opening the case. Or in the zipper compartment outside the carrying case. I am assuming you have a full face mask and understand your pain. I used to advise patient's that all the time. It is really hard to fit a full face mask especially a larger one in the case. They tried to make the case so small I don't know if they thought of that.

    I've been using this Auto-CPAP for over 2 years now and love it. Only negative for me is during winter months when I get sinus congestion, the pressure rises too high and this wakes me up. I have to turn off the machine and after a few seconds, turn it on again to restart the ramp up time (I have it set for 40 minutes) to avoid the feeling of my head wanting to explode from the air pressure.

    Thank you for the video. I just started using the AirSense 11 and this answered a lot of my questions. One thing not mentioned in the cleaning portion was the connection between the humidifier chamber and the outlet hose. I saw a video about the AirSense 10 that said that little connector can be the most likely to be contaminated with mold/mildew and showed an easy way to remove that elbow, using a long prong or pen tip (ball point not exposed). I have examined my unit and there is a similar piece in the AirSense 11 that appears to be intended to be removed for cleaning. Is this so, and how often does this need to be done?

      @Sleeplayground  9 місяців тому

      Hey Tom,
      Thanks for sharing! Yeah, that was a cool feature I hear a lot of that to about the tubing. Yes, the 10 and 11 both have the Auto Start/Stop feature which is awesome. The 11 actually what is cool is that you can choose so just because it turns on by itself. It does not have to turn off by itself and vice a versa. Comes in handy with a lot of people with Full Face mask. They have the convenience of the machine starting by itself. But they do not have to worry about it shutting off repeatedly. It is beneficial especially when your on an Auto machine which seems to be the most popular nowadays. It would start low when it started increasing to the pressure needed it would shut off if it leaked to o much. So the patient would never get there optimal therapy. Have a great day! Let us know if anything is needed we are here to help!

    I’m kinda struggling with my AirSense 11. I’m in-between sizes for the nasal mask, the Med blew air into my eyes all night plus the silicone left raised, red rings around my nose/cheeks that took 2 days to go away. I changed to the Sm nose mask, and it’s a better fit but I feel like my nostrils are pressed upon, closing them a bit and worry I’m not getting my full benefits plus I spend a lot of time flaring my nostrils open which takes me longer to fall asleep. 🫤 My clinician is checking into maybe just a possible nasal plug type mask, kinda like what they put in your nose for oxygen at the hospital. Can you tell me what the First thing I should do upon waking? Do I just take off my mask and it will automatically stop treatment or do I need to press that top on/off button first THEN remove my mask? Thanks for your help!!! 😊

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  8 місяців тому

      Hi,
      Thanks for reaching out! So yes I believe having the nasal cushion a little bigger is personally more comfortable, rather than the cushion up against my nostrils. The air blowing into eyes just means it needs some adjustment is all, but you have to find what works for you. That is the most aggravating but important aspect to therapy is the mask. If your experience any soreness redness like that it is being put on way to tight. You need to loosen so it can move with you and your comfortable obviously most importantly. Yes, the pillows or plugs that go into the nose are great for less leakage. But are just a little harder to get used to. If your clinician set the machine to Auto Start and Stop then it will turn on when you put the mask on and off when you rake off. Let me know if that helped and if anything else needed.

Feels like I am not getting enough air. Will it ramp up? How do I know I am getting enough air? Thx. Note: my current cpap is broke so I dunno if it ramped up to 16 (it is always on 16). @Sleeplayground  7 місяців тому

      So glad you like it, thank you for the encouragement! So your pressure was 16.0 and now 4.0? Are you saying that is what they recommended for you for your airway. Or does the machine start at 4cm? You can know if you are getting enough air based on how you feel. But you can also see the events on the machine. I can show you how if you would like to call. I mean if it is working for you with or without the ramp just leave it I would say. As far as the bathroom you can take off the mask I usually recommend to keep on if able to make easier.

      Thanks so much for reaching out and the comment! Much appreciated. So, you know the machine is an Autoset unit and therefore it adjust to meet your needs automatically. Maybe possibly your in need of a higher pressure now, then you did before. You can go into the mode to change your EPR expiratory pressure relief, to help with the breathing against the higher pressure you feel. Also the Auto Start and Stop you can set, if you want if you want help with having to turn off manually at night. Not sure the type of machine you had before what it was set on and so forth. So, question. Compared to my old DreamStation, my Airsense 11 feels a lot lower pressure, even though it is set the same. The DS felt like it was shoving sir in me, whereas the AirSense seems much more gentle. Is that typical? My recorded AHI hangs typically under 2.0, so I figure I'm OK since my untreated AHI was over 80 lol

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  Рік тому

      Hey Brian,
      Yes, so if your AHI is under 2.0 you are doing great! Most of the Airsense 11 machines I have worked with have the EPR on, making it a little easier to breathe out against the flow of air coming in. That may be the difference you are feeling. But if the therapy is effective all should be well.

      @Kittamaru Рік тому

      @@Sleeplayground it's less the exhale being easy and more the inhale - with the DreamStation, it felt like air was being harshly pushed in. Hi Giovanni,
      If you notice and this is strange cause I was wondering for years the same. There is a little sensor next to the power button on top little clear sensor. If you have the screen lit and you put your finger over the button for a moment it goes dark. Opposite if the screen is dark you should be able to tap the little sensor and the screen should light back up. Let me know if that worked for you.

    If not using the reservoir? Is there a dust cover? I like to make it portable, more like the mini.. Also, the plastic reservoir seems more breakable when transporting.
    If not plugged in, is there a dust cover there?

    My previous unit was the ResMed 9 and never attached the humidifier portion (don't need it). The unit itself was quiet but the ResMed 11 actually makes noise, not sure why . . . it's supposed to be quieter than the 9. I used it last night for the first time (no water in the humidifier).

      HHHMMM? Yeah that is strange all the machines are quiet this is supposed to be quieter. Not to sound silly, but make sure all the accessories are connected properly.

    Any issues with the filter door cover breaking? I heard one reviewer say he broke 2 of them changing his filter. It has happened to me twice with the Air Sense 10.

      Hi Judy,
      Yes, I know I have had that happen several times to myself when setting patient's up. You can put the door back on? But it happens and I do not know why they did this. When you open door it does not lay down on the table it stops so if up press it down to far it breaks off the machine or pulls out. Maybe I will do a video of that actually! Look for it soon

      @@Sleeplayground Excellent video! What I don't understand is why do I need my Doctor to 'Titrate the 'machine if it is "auto set'. I have the air sense 11, just started using it 3 days ago and it seems to be working.

      Good morning, The machines come in the case. It includes the machine, chamber, tubing, power cord and manuals. You received a machine in a brown box with nothing? Is that what you are stating?

    How often do you change a filter ?

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  2 місяці тому

      I advise patients the regimen to cleaning is once a week. So I usually say check filter just to get in the routine weekly. When dirty or discolored you can toss and replace.
