This was helpful, no one explains anything they just give you the machine, explain how to clean it and good luck. Thank god for these videos so,helpful.
Absolutely! Yes I hear it all the time. A lot of therapist talk to you about so much extra features that they lose the purpose. I have always like to make simple and stick to the goal. I am so glad you enjoyed there will be more to come. Thanks for your comment!
Can't find the smart on or smart stop option on my machine. When I get up at night to use the restroom, I have to turn my machine off each time. I miss the auto off from my old machine.. 😮
@@margaretarmijo1062 I am so sorry I did not see this question. If your on the home screen with the Blue and Purple Pinkish options. If you got to My Options the blue option. If you scroll down to the bottom. You have Smart Start and Smart Stop. To the right is a little lever type button they both need to be blue. If not just press so they both are and go back to the home screen. Your smart on and off should work from there. I once again apologize for the super late response. Have a great day!
Thank you, thank you, 1000 times thank you. As others mentioned they get you a machine and you’re mostly on your own. So I’ve watched dozens of videos on the setup and use of the Resmed 11. Your video was the best by far. It really showed me how to setup and use my machine. Also, what is important and realistic cleaning intervals. For years I resisted a CPAP machine. When I became so tired every day, and my blood pressure would climb, I finally got the machine. It’s a life changer. I’m 81 and my energy and stamina are back. That’s why I want to be certain I keep using and maintaining the machine. Which your splendid video will help me do.
Wow! Thank you so much for the encouragement. That is great to hear and I am super happy the video was helpful. Thank you for sharing, it was my pleasure. Let me know if anything is ever needed, I am happy to help!
When bro said you you don’t want this to happen because you might suffocate and that will fix your sleep apnea for good I knew he was the sleep tech we all wish we had.
Received my air sense 11 and made excuses why I couldn't use it for an entire month. Spoke to a close friend about this damn cpap machine. Turns out he's been using a cpap religiously for years. Since I admire and trust my friend and started using the cpap. Now I love the machine. Great video.
I appreciate that really! This is James from the video. I have found over the years simplicity is key. Patient's need to be able to use and not be confused. Too much information can be a bad thing. Let me know if anything is ever needed, I will be happy to help! Thank you once again!
I have had two issues with this machine. I was getting "large leak" notifications. Drove me nuts trying to adjust the mask. I've realized it is the water tank not seated properly. Pulling it out and reinserting it has solved the problem. You've given me the most important info which is "don't worry too much about mask leakage".
Great video. Lately I have had an issue with getting up in the middle of the night. Turning it off manually, going to the bathroom. Or just waking up in the night and trying to get back to sleep. It is almost as if there is too much pressure. I am fighting the amount of pressure and I end up taking it off for awhile. I have had CPAPs for many years and I am wondering if it is me, or something with the machine, Thank you
Hi, Thanks so much for reaching out and the comment! Much appreciated. So, you know the machine is an Autoset unit and therefore it adjust to meet your needs automatically. Maybe possibly your in need of a higher pressure now, then you did before. You can go into the mode to change your EPR expiratory pressure relief, to help with the breathing against the higher pressure you feel. Also the Auto Start and Stop you can set, if you want if you want help with having to turn off manually at night. Not sure the type of machine you had before what it was set on and so forth. You may have been on a set pressure rather than a Auto pressure and that is why it felt comfortable. You can give me a call at 8444516555 or email james.curles@sleeplay.com and I can walk you through.
Apparently the SmartStop and Pressure Relief have been disabled by my provider. Is there a way to enable these functions? I can call you if need be. Thank you for your quick reply to my question
Appreciate you!! Thanks for the encouragement, let me know if I can help with anything along the way. It's is a little struggle for most in beginning, primarily getting used to the mask. But if you push through with that mask or find the right one. You will be happy you did. My number 844-451-6555 ext.005 if you have any questions. Thanks Again remember Keep it simple.
I've learned more listening to you and I've been using for over a year. Then i quit using for 9-10months bc of Insurance purposes. Im just getting back on it tonight and i also am on Oxygen at night only. I felt a little better when i 1st started using it. Im hoping i have even better results this yime around as im tired constantly . Anyways your video is so informative and easy to understand. Thank you so much.
Great video, you answered a lot of questions I might have ended up having. Liked the presentation style, and gave let us know what to really pay attention to and what we can be less worried about.
Great video. I never use the bags that come with these, I have bought a few nice camera backpacks and a medical equipment tag. I travel a LOT and have never had one issue with this. The camera bags have quick open sides to pull the device out if you need to for TSA, lots of padding, and enough room to carry most of your usual carryon stuff (tablet, xbox controller, backup battery, sunglasses, umbrella). With the medical equipment tag, I never get questioned, and the backpack I use now works great under seats.
What settings should you use for asthma like ramp ( ? Or auto), and what type of tubing regular, slim line or heated tube) also what level to set the humidifier?
Thank you for the video. I just started using the AirSense 11 and this answered a lot of my questions. One thing not mentioned in the cleaning portion was the connection between the humidifier chamber and the outlet hose. I saw a video about the AirSense 10 that said that little connector can be the most likely to be contaminated with mold/mildew and showed an easy way to remove that elbow, using a long prong or pen tip (ball point not exposed). I have examined my unit and there is a similar piece in the AirSense 11 that appears to be intended to be removed for cleaning. Is this so, and how often does this need to be done? Thanks.
Absolutely! Your more then welcome I am glad it helped. That is the Air outlet adapter and yes you can remove from the Airense 11. I would say try to clean weekly along with the water chamber and tubing.
Does this need to be prescribed? My parents have one they don't use and I thought about giving it a try to see if it helps me with my snoring and trouble sleeping?
Yes, it should be prescribed. I do not know the pressures on you parents machine would work for you. If it is an Auto setting it may be fine. I would talk to you doctor regarding the pressures and therapy.
Great upload. The best way to learn as well is to get hands on. Like a new cell phone, after a week or two of touching, exploring, you will build confidence , and really appreciate the value of this unit. Thank you VA pulmonary unit at Tripler. Never thought I'd say this, but I really love this cpap...I'm at 5.5 hours of continuous sleep now 🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing! That is great to hear, many people feel the same. Once you can get passed the kinks and you get the benefit. These machines are life changing in most cases! Let us know if anything is ever needed, we would be happy to help!
Extremely helpful. Thank you for the complete explanation. P.s. to Cathy Mckeown, You were lucky, I just received my machine after waiting 5 months and all I got for explanation was I had to sign for u.p.s. God bless this posting
Wonderful! So happy it helped, I try to explain detail but to the point of what is needed. I have done so for years most clinician, doctors etc. Give patient;s the machine and tell them nothing or they tell them so many technical bits of information the patient walks out in either case not knowing. Let me know if anything else is needed I would be happy to help!
Does that machine come with SD with if machine new or Refurbished and what’s the second door for not filter door the right underneath SD Door and come with manual please let me know and how do I know if it’s a refurbished unit. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi! 😊 The AirSense 11 typically does not come with an SD card included, whether it’s new or refurbished. You can purchase one separately if needed. The second door beneath the SD card slot is for service access and doesn’t require user interaction. Your device should come with a user manual, but if it’s missing, we can help you find a digital version! If you’re unsure whether your unit is refurbished, check for any labels or documentation indicating refurbishment. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance - we’re here to help!
@ thank you I appreciate the input and the feedback but I meant to say a sensor number 10, but I believe it’s the same one OK thank you very much again. Have a great holiday and a safe and healthy one. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊
Outstanding points you covered. Being a long-time C-PAP user and having picked up my new machine from the VA. They walked me through using the machine and where to order new supplies. I do like this C-PAP Res-Med way over anything I have used prior. I even take camping and hiking trips. Back up my HALO battery which gives me 3-days. My only suggestion was that I was about to stop your video. At the first intro point tell the viewer everything you going to be covering. That will keep folks like me tuned in longer to watch all the great info and like you this is one if not the BEST of all C-PAP. I would also suggest to anyone over 10 years to get a new SLeep STUDY as things have changed and there is much more they can tell you about your sleeping habits and issues. I learned in RIM sleep (which happens a few times per night) my jaw drops open and I breathe through my mouth. Good Luck.
Very cool video. My main issue with this case is there is nowhere to put the headgear & mask/cushion. I have to place that in a separate bag when traveling. Does anybody else feel the same or have a suggestion/solution for the mask-cushion? I used to have the System One by Philips but I replaced that with the AirSense 11 after the recall. IMO, this is the best CPAP machine and the ResMed app is icing on the cake
Absolutely! I appreciate you watching and enjoying my video. So there are several places to put the mask either in the front compartment next to the power cord. In the netted compartment up top when opening the case. Or in the zipper compartment outside the carrying case. I am assuming you have a full face mask and understand your pain. I used to advise patient's that all the time. It is really hard to fit a full face mask especially a larger one in the case. They tried to make the case so small I don't know if they thought of that.
Just received this same unit today as a replacement for my Phillips Dream Station. I appreciate you're doing this video to help familiarize me with my new machine. Thanks
Absolutely! I appreciate you giving the time to watch. That is what were doing these videos for to help in anyway. Have a Great Day!! Thank You so much for the nice comment, it is appreciated.
Love the setup review! I am a new used of the AirSense 11. My sleep view doesn't show me the "Events", only the Usage time and the Mask Fit. How do I get the Events on my Sleep View?
Good video to see overview of operation and needed cleaning interval for my machine. For me the machine is wonderful - to be able to get excellent rest from sleeping. After the first 17 nights this video helps me to refresh the important points for maintenance & using the machine. Thank you so much!
I’m kinda struggling with my AirSense 11. I’m in-between sizes for the nasal mask, the Med blew air into my eyes all night plus the silicone left raised, red rings around my nose/cheeks that took 2 days to go away. I changed to the Sm nose mask, and it’s a better fit but I feel like my nostrils are pressed upon, closing them a bit and worry I’m not getting my full benefits plus I spend a lot of time flaring my nostrils open which takes me longer to fall asleep. 🫤 My clinician is checking into maybe just a possible nasal plug type mask, kinda like what they put in your nose for oxygen at the hospital. Can you tell me what the First thing I should do upon waking? Do I just take off my mask and it will automatically stop treatment or do I need to press that top on/off button first THEN remove my mask? Thanks for your help!!! 😊
Hi, Thanks for reaching out! So yes I believe having the nasal cushion a little bigger is personally more comfortable, rather than the cushion up against my nostrils. The air blowing into eyes just means it needs some adjustment is all, but you have to find what works for you. That is the most aggravating but important aspect to therapy is the mask. If your experience any soreness redness like that it is being put on way to tight. You need to loosen so it can move with you and your comfortable obviously most importantly. Yes, the pillows or plugs that go into the nose are great for less leakage. But are just a little harder to get used to. If your clinician set the machine to Auto Start and Stop then it will turn on when you put the mask on and off when you rake off. Let me know if that helped and if anything else needed.
I'm following the instractions to connect my phone and the machine via blutooth but it keeps saying "Can't connect your machine. Let's skip the Bluetooth connection step." I've gone through the process 3 times. This is the worst part of the wholw thing. It has forced me to enter the serial number and model numer 3 times.
Hi Jeff, I do apologize yeah that is strange. If you press on the screen the MyAir connection it should link to your smart phone if the Bluetooth is on. Other than the machine being connected directly. You can yes go on the Myair app and enter the SN and DN number manually and it will link the machine for the app and the website to view compliance and other information.
Any time! Too much information is given about unnecessary things. I have seen it all, you have to keep it simple especially in the beginning. That way you can get using and benefitting is the goal. Then you can look into other information.
Hi John, Thanks for the encouragement! Yea, that is exactly what I try to do with all set ups or instruction. Make it simple and really talk about what is needed. Not so much the technical stuff that confuses people. Definitely not trying to dismiss those things they are important. But too much is never good simplicity is key, Glad you enjoyed there will be more to come.
Also, I have the Eson 2 nasal mask - felt restrictive breathing & exhaling UNTIL I removed the diffuser - much easier and enabled me to actually use the mask
Thank you for your informative videos! I just got my machine a week ago (just diagnosed with sleep apnea so a newby here) and trying to get used to it! Does the water chamber need to be emptied of the leftover distilled water every morning or is it ok to leave the leftover in it and just add to it for the next night? Thank you much!!!
Well, if there is anything further I can do for you. You are more than welcome to get a hold of me 8444516555. Hopefully the video simplified the process and gave you the basis.
I've been using this Auto-CPAP for over 2 years now and love it. Only negative for me is during winter months when I get sinus congestion, the pressure rises too high and this wakes me up. I have to turn off the machine and after a few seconds, turn it on again to restart the ramp up time (I have it set for 40 minutes) to avoid the feeling of my head wanting to explode from the air pressure.
Your knowledge and articulation were well understood. You definitely answered many of my concerns. And yes, I just got my machine a week ago and was nervous about not using it correctly. Thanks again
Glad it was helpful to you! Yes, I try to make simple but get to the meat of the machine and important factors of therapy. Let me know if anything is needed, I would be very happy to help!
Hey James! I am very new to Sleep apnea and the airsense 11. When i get up to use the restroom, I dont want to make any loud noises! What is your recommendation for my machine if id like to leave my mask on? And, if machine stops while i am asleep, am i going to be able to breathe? This is my fear! Thank you James for being that one professional that has taught me so very much! 😊
Wow appreciate you watching and the comment! Your absolutely welcome for sure, I love to share what I have learned with patients. So depending what mask, I know the Airsense 11 should start by themselves when the mask is on and you start to breathe. But you can set it to also shut off by itself. With nasal type mask I would do, not with Full face really. That is my recommendation if you wake up just bend the hose from the mask it will shut off go bathroom or water depending the mask come back to bed connect and the machine will turn back on.
Absolutely! Glad it helped. Simplicity is key a lot of therapist talk so much about all these features that they lose the patient in the mix. It is a very simple thing but we complicate it. There will be much more to come, thanks for your encouragement!
Great video man! My Dream Station bit the dust yesterday. Pick up my new AirSense 11 tomorrow. I'm in The Great State of Texas. Next time I clean I'll get on the ol' horse and swing the tube around like a lasso.
Thank you, you were more informative than the person that set up my machine. She had it ready to go when I got there and it took 10 minutes and I was gone. Didn't know anything about what to do with it except how to put the mask on and how to adjust it.
Glad I could help, yeah that is what most do when they set patient's up. In and out they do not really explain much. Please let me know if I can help further I would be happy to!
Hey good on you for mentioning to just use the machine even without distilled. I live in a rural area and didn't have distilled for a few days but just went for it and started getting the benefits immediately, just took an extra few seconds of washing before switching to distilled.
Absolutely! I advised patients always. Distilled is recommended and preferred. But I have has patients who have went weeks without using machine because of the water. Not necessary, you can use other water and just clean as you stated sooner.
I tested my resmed 11 with my allpower power pack using DC cigarettes cord and found something very interesting. The resmed 10 with heating tube/tank on would run around 5 hours with both off 7 hours before draining the pack. It's would take around over 30 watts heating on and over 20 off. The resmed 11 heating tube/ tank on between 20-25 watts with both off between 5 and 10 watts. After 10 hours my power bank said 55% power left. Look like 11 is more power efficient than 10 was.
Wow, thanks you so much for the encouragement! We really appreciate it, I am passionate about what I do and care for patients. Over the many years setting up all age groups, I have found simplicity is key. You need to actually be able to use the machine to get the benefit everyone shouts about. Then if you would like to know more detailed technical information you can. Some people never use because there bombarded with all the medical terminology, advanced features and programs etc. They walk out of the office or the tech leaves the home and they have no idea what to do, kind of funny but it is not. Glad you found helpful really, please reach out to me whenever needed. 8444516555 ext. 005 I would be glad to help if able.
Just started mine and when i take off nose things why air loud altho screen say mask was good seal last night only used few days. Trying figure this out Is it leaks when air is loud when i take it off. It wasnt that loud before . Thanks
Hi there! It sounds like you might be hearing the air escaping from the mask vents, which is completely normal when you remove the mask. The vents are designed to release exhaled air, and this can sometimes be loud when the mask is off. If your device shows a good seal and there aren't any leaks while you're wearing the mask, this is likely just the normal venting process. However, if the noise seems excessive or if you notice any changes during therapy, feel free to reach out - we’d be happy to help you troubleshoot further!
Thx for great instructions! Been using Cpap for 15 yrs. Got new sleep study & just got Airsense II. My apnea improved...my prior setting 16.0 and now is 4.0. Feels like I am not getting enough air. Will it ramp up? How do I know I am getting enough air? Thx. Note: my current cpap is broke so I dunno if it ramped up to 16 (it is always on 16). Can I remove my mask if I need to use the bathroom?
So glad you like it, thank you for the encouragement! So your pressure was 16.0 and now 4.0? Are you saying that is what they recommended for you for your airway. Or does the machine start at 4cm? You can know if you are getting enough air based on how you feel. But you can also see the events on the machine. I can show you how if you would like to call. I mean if it is working for you with or without the ramp just leave it I would say. As far as the bathroom you can take off the mask I usually recommend to keep on if able to make easier.
Awesome, thank you for watching! That is exactly what it should be to the point and simple. To many therapist and doctors explain so much, the patient walks away having no clue about how to use the machine. Once you get to the benefit most the time none of that matters. Have a great day and please reach out anytime. I will be happy to try to help!
Your welcome! Yes, I really believe in these machines and what they can do . I have experience it first hand and in many patients lives throughout the years! Let me know if ever I can help, I would be happy to!
You are so welcome! Yes, I can do that perhaps on another video hank you for watching. Appreciate the encouragement, please reach out if anything needed 844-451-6555 ext. 005
If you go into my option you can turn Airplane mode on to cut off the modem signal. There is no WIFI though is cellular modem based and Bluetooth is an option as well.
Glad it was helpful! I hear it all the time and seen a few times observing other people and how they set patient's up. It is sad to be honest, they give machine and have a nice day. Appreciate the comment, like I said in video or most. Any questions do not hesitate I would be glad to help.
Hi Giovanni, If you notice and this is strange cause I was wondering for years the same. There is a little sensor next to the power button on top little clear sensor. If you have the screen lit and you put your finger over the button for a moment it goes dark. Opposite if the screen is dark you should be able to tap the little sensor and the screen should light back up. Let me know if that worked for you.
This is the second night ive used this air 11, suppose to be the Cadillac of cpaps. The tech had it programmed. I guess i just have to put it on & off , & dont mess with the digital buttons. Its quiet, do wasnt sure its on & working. Its gonna take time to adjust to this. 😕..Thank you sir.
Absolutely! It is a process I promise, it does take a little time. Just try to be consistently trying even in the day if able napping, watching a movie dozing off etc. The more you do when able on your off hours, the easier it becomes to sleep through the night. Keep it up don't give up.
Thank you for this video… I just got my machine and I’m trying to figure it out! Can you clean any parts or tubing with bleach? The water reservoir looks small… do you have to refill a couple times a night? Thank u
Hi appreciate the comment! So I would not clean with bleach because of the smell and chemical. Just soapy water should suffice maybe vinegar and water if you choose. The water chamber surprisingly looks smaller but holds the same amount of water as others. It should be on Auto and should suffice you have to see as needed. I advise patient';s to top off the chambe daily.
@@Sleeplayground thank you very much for replying back to me! It is surprising that the it’s definitely enough water… I have used this machine for a week and my only issue is the discomfort with the mask. I have used the nasal pillows and I felt like I was struggling to breath slowly and I had to open my mouth a lot … the next mask was over my nose and my left side of my face broke out a bit… but my sleep numbers have been good but a lot of discomfort
@@mit.guy711 The water should be used up, but not so fast that you have to refill in the middle of the night. Keep an eye on how fast the water gets used up.
I just started using this device and i notice when i am inhaling it makes a pretty loud breathing sound at the device, like my inhaling was amplified. its annoying,, What could be causing this ? and how could i solve it?. Thanks
Yes, absolutely! I have not heard to many issues as far as sound with the Air11. I know every so often on the Air10's the motor would whine after a while. The noise may be simply coming from the mask or the exhalation ports or holes on the mask. depending which mask. Another possibility may be the water chamber not being in all the way. If you have bought the unit from a local supplier I would bring back and have them look at it. The Resmed units have a 2 year warranty and they can send off to be repaired or replaced by Resmed. Let me know you find those suggestions helpful or there is anything else I can help with! I would be happy to.
Love my resmed, there's alot to learn ,I definitely can tell the difference just have to be patient, when I get to a .8 my OCD kicks in and I ask myself ok we need it back down to a .2 then I feel like a Rockstar
ResMed Dishwasher Safe Water Chamber for AirSense 11 & AirCurve 11 HumidAir Humidifiers, just saw this does it really work? When I first started using cpap washed hose & tank every day but that gets old very fast. Now been over 10 years so wipe mask every other night and maybe twice month use ozone cleaner for house & tank. Getting 11 upgrade to my 10 since insurance replaces it every 5 year's
Yeah, when they came out with the dishwasher safe chamber I was not aware at first. Dishwasher safe water chambers can be washed in a dishwasher, while non-dishwasher safe water chambers need to be washed by hand. Some manufacturers, like cleancpap.net, advise against putting CPAP water containers in the dishwasher because it could damage them. However, some ResMed CPAP water chambers are dishwasher safe, including the AirSense 10, AirStart 10, AirCurve 10, and H5i. If you do decide to use the dishwasher, you should:
Should air come out of the nasal mask near the nose part? It is not coming through on the 11 - only on the top elbow part. Is this correct? I used to have the 10 and the air come out of the top elbow and the nasal part, so I am not sure if it is correct to just come out of the top elbow on the 11.
@@Sleeplayground yes, air is coming out of the elbow at the top. However, no air is coming out of the nose piece - there is a plastic covering the dotted vent on the N30i mask. Should I break this off to reveal the perforated dots? Sorry if these sound like silly questions but I'm really worried because on the 10 the air came out of the nasal piece and the top elbow.
For two nights now, I have been unable to use my Resmed. I tap the start button and it shows the air pressure rising, as usual. Then, when it hits 8.0, it shuts off, no air coming into my mask. What could explain this?
I got mine yesterday. It’s the 2nd machine in 5 years. And it had this horrible smell when I put it on. I tried looking into it and the best I could come up with was off gassing of the plastics and glues and foams used in production. I let it run for a few hours and just blow air. It helped some the smell isn’t completely gone but hopefully that’s what it is and it’ll go away soon.
My doctor wants me to use oxygen while I am sleeping. How can I connect oxygen to the machine end of the HEATED hose? I know how to do this with my unheated hose. Thanks in advance.
Yes, your only option really I would say is to connect the enrichment adapter between the mask and tube. Unless you decide not to use the heated tubing I would say.
I advise patients the regimen to cleaning is once a week. So I usually say check filter just to get in the routine weekly. When dirty or discolored you can toss and replace.
As a first time user of the Airsense 11 I really appreciate your video. One question is you mention if you take it off to use the bathroom it stops. Does it start back up automatically Or do you hit start again upon putting it back on? Thank you again for your video.
Hi Goodmorning! I am glad the video helped out. The answer to your question is, Yes. It does have the ability to turn off by itself, if the feature is not on from the manufacturer. Please give me a call and I can help you out! Appreciate you watching thanks for following.
I'm in the process of figuring out which machine to go with as a first time patient. This one seems really nice, I think I am sold with the touch display.
Hi, Thanks for reaching out! Yeah that is a great feature for sure! I would recommend any Resmed unit would be great. Let me know if I can help at all, I would be happy to.
I got the ResMed air sense 11. Was very excited to be able to sleep again. It causes me to stop breathing at night more than using nothing at all. Yes my settings are correct. Wish I hadn’t spent so much time with doctors appointments only to end up worse off than when I began. Very disappointed and still always tired.
Press the My options box and My Sleep view box at the same time and hold. It will then say My Settings press and scroll down and you can set it to AutoStart
Thank you for your quick response. It is apparent that Res Med does not currently make an oxygen adapter for their heated hose. I also have not found an 8 foot heated hose by Res Med. I assume that since the ResMed 11 is new there has not been a market developed for these products.
I am happy to hear that this was informative but simplified for you. That is the idea behind the set ups. Get patients to understand how to use and then all the extra features and technical information if needed they can figure out. I am glad you enjoyed and understood. How about when you sleeping and the person opens the mouth this is a reason to change the mask for the whole face or how many masks can one used to find out the one that works for that person

@@CindyFarr-fb5nl I will share your feedback with the team, thank you!
I agree with you. I’ll add another thousand times!!!!
When bro said you you don’t want this to happen because you might suffocate and that will fix your sleep apnea for good I knew he was the sleep tech we all wish we had.
LOL! My man, appreciate the love.
Received my air sense 11 and made excuses why I couldn't use it for an entire month. Spoke to a close friend about this damn cpap machine. Turns out he's been using a cpap religiously for years. Since I admire and trust my friend and started using the cpap. Now I love the machine. Great video.
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I am happy for you and glad you got past the annoying parts, LOL!
I like the simple way he's giving the explanations step by step & very clear great job 👍🏾
I appreciate that really! This is James from the video. I have found over the years simplicity is key. Patient's need to be able to use and not be confused. Too much information can be a bad thing. Let me know if anything is ever needed, I will be happy to help! Thank you once again!
What about the air coming out of the machine? This is my first time to use those machine
So helpful! I was going nuts with leakage messages!
This guy is pretty good. Way better than the lady I talked to when I got the machine.
I enjoy your video the humidifier is enabled so how do I get it back on I feel so dumb😢
"...that's going to fix your sleep apnea for good." Dude is funny and informative. Love it!
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching, let me know if anything needed. I would be happy to help!
I haven’t t had a new machine in 15 years I’d love this
Great video. Lately I have had an issue with getting up in the middle of the night. Turning it off manually, going to the bathroom. Or just waking up in the night and trying to get back to sleep. It is almost as if there is too much pressure. I am fighting the amount of pressure and I end up taking it off for awhile. I have had CPAPs for many years and I am wondering if it is me, or something with the machine,
Thank you
Hi,
Thanks so much for reaching out and the comment!
I figured out how to get into the advanced settings. Thank you for your help
My husband says it’s blowing out too much air & keeping him awake! Is there a way to reduce that?
Great video man!! Just got my air sense 11
Awesome, thank you! Glad it was helpful that's very encouraging. Let us know if you need anything I am here to help.
Hey,
Thanks for reaching out! Awesome, that is some good stuff, thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for your down to Earth style, especially regarding air leakage.
You are so welcome!
What settings should you use for asthma like ramp ( ? Or auto), and what type of tubing regular, slim line or heated tube) also what level to set the humidifier?
Hello, your physician should have provided you with a sheet that states all of this information. Did you receive anything like that from them?
No
Thank you for the video.
Some very helpful information Everyone needs to know about cleaning the inner plug. Pop it out (from inside the water chamber) wash is weekly
Great tip!
P.s. to Cathy Mckeown,
You were lucky, I just received my machine after waiting 5 months and all I got for explanation was I had to sign for u.p.s.
Good Luck.
Thanks for sharing and reaching out! We will keep that in mind for the next video.
@Sleeplayground Yes, that's right.
Love the setup review! I am a new used of the AirSense 11. My sleep view doesn't show me the "Events", only the Usage time and the Mask Fit. How do I get the Events on my Sleep View?
I can walk you through. If you would like to call me at 844-451-6555 James I will walk you through.

Good video to see overview of operation and needed cleaning interval for my machine. For me the machine is wonderful - to be able to get excellent rest from sleeping. After the first 17 nights this video helps me to refresh the important points for maintenance & using the machine. Thank you so much!
Very helpful and informative! Starting therapy this Friday.
Thank you so much for sharing. Now that it’s recommended not to clean the CPAP machine with So Clean, I am glad it’s not a total waste.
=)
I was not understanding?
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out!
Thank you. Great job explaining
Hi Jeff,
I do apologize yeah that is strange. If you press on the screen the MyAir connection it should link to your smart phone if the Bluetooth is on. Other than the machine being connected directly. You can yes go on the Myair app and enter the SN and DN number manually and it will link the machine for the app and the website to view compliance and other information.
I feel like I've gained months of experience and I haven't even used it yet. Thanks man!
Any time! Too much information is given about unnecessary things. I have seen it all, you have to keep it simple especially in the beginning. That way you can get using and benefitting is the goal. Then you can look into other information.
Glad to help! Appreciate you watching.
Great overview in practical, easily understood terminology...Thank you.
Hi John,
Thanks for the encouragement!
I have been recently diagnosed with severe sleep apnea.. Waiting for my ResMed AirSense 11 to arrive.. Trying to learn all I can about the machine.
Well, if there is anything further I can do for you. You are more than welcome to get a hold of me 8444516555. Hopefully the video simplified the process and gave you the basis.
Can this be used with the So Clean Machine?
Sir thank you for the information given. Very helpful , God bless
That is great to hear that you enjoy the machine! It should not rise because of congestion that is strange?
Sounds like whoever set you machine numbers has it set too high.
@@Photosnapper75 Maybe but as I do know how to access the settings, I don't want to change it without talking to the doctor beforehand.
@@Sleeplayground THANK YOU! For everything!
This was very helpful to me.Thanks for explaining.
Absolutely! Glad it helped. Simplicity is key a lot of therapist talk so much about all these features that they lose the patient in the mix. It is a very simple thing but we complicate it. There will be much more to come, thanks for your encouragement!
Thanks. Good Review! I just like to hear how noisy this cpap machines are.
Thanks for watching! I will try to mention on upcoming videos for sure.
Is it can be used without water in humidifier chamber and without adjusting in humidifier 9:49 settings?
Yes
Great video man! My Dream Station bit the dust yesterday. Pick up my new AirSense 11 tomorrow. I'm in The Great State of Texas. Next time I clean I'll get on the ol' horse and swing the tube around like a lasso.
Appreciate the encouragement! Great machine please let me know is I can help you with anything. Just message me on the website sleeplay.com. LOL!!
Lol
Thanks for the video. Great information. Question: I just received my machine, but does the tubing need to be cleaned before the first use??
I would clean it out if you like. I do not think it needs to be. May have that plastic smell though.
You are Awesome my Friend!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊👍 The best explanation and presentation of a CPAP machine……Ever. ✅
Trying figure this out
Is it leaks when air is loud when i take it off.
I agree 💯 regarding your comment because when I received my cpap with paperwork instructions. The video's are very helpful

Very well explained and to the point ! Well done , I just subscribe and will listen to other ones. Thanks for the help.
Now this is a good salesman! Knowledgable, helpful, honest but you can see he’s a hustler. How awesome would it be if he worked for HSN!
Thank you! Your passion made me want to get this machine. Having issues with my Dream station so gonna switch to this device. Thank you!
Your welcome! Yes, I really believe in these machines and what they can do . I have experience it first hand and in many patients lives throughout the years! Let me know if ever I can help, I would be happy to!
Thank you for explaining the ResMed love how you show step by step how to use it can you show the mask and size
You are so welcome! Yes, I can do that perhaps on another video hank you for watching. Appreciate the encouragement, please reach out if anything needed 844-451-6555 ext. 005

LOL! It is James and you very welcome. Glad you had a successful night, keep it up.
How do I turn the Wi-Fi on?
If you go into my option you can turn Airplane mode on to cut off the modem signal. There is no WIFI though is cellular modem based and Bluetooth is an option as well.
Thank you for this video! I am living in the Netherlands. Wish someone here had explain this to me earlier....
Glad it was helpful! I hear it all the time and seen a few times observing other people and how they set patient's up. It is sad to be honest, they give machine and have a nice day. Appreciate the comment, like I said in video or most. Any questions do not hesitate I would be glad to help.
Do you need to set on something to protect furniture from heat?
No you do not. But we do sell CPAP mats if that would make you feel better.

what keeps the screen bright, mine dims to the point i can not read properly?
Hi Giovanni,
If you notice and this is strange cause I was wondering for years the same. There is a little sensor next to the power button on top little clear sensor. If you have the screen lit and you put your finger over the button for a moment it goes dark. Opposite if the screen is dark you should be able to tap the little sensor and the screen should light back up. Let me know if that worked for you.
I have used several different machines, but this one by far is the best.
It is a great machine! Keep it up
This is the second night ive used this air 11, suppose to be the Cadillac of cpaps.
Should you continue to use CPap during/after an asthma attack?
Hello, We recommend you reach out to your physician to discuss this matter, as we would not want your health jeopardized in any way.
does the screen turn off on its own when not in use? or do i need to disconnect the machine?
Hi,
Yes, you can place your finger over the sensor, that is next to the power button on top of the machine it will dim or go dark.
Sorry for the late response!
how often should you replace the water, and what happens if you don't?
The water should be replaced every 1-2 days. If you do not replace the water, it could lead to sinus infections.
@@Sleeplayground
i see. i waited, and after two days, the water's all depleted that i have to refill again.
@@mit.guy711 The water should be used up, but not so fast that you have to refill in the middle of the night. Keep an eye on how fast the water gets used up.
Is it possible to deliver pressure under 6.0 on this machine? Thanks
Yes, the minimum pressure is 4.0
I just started using this device and i notice when i am inhaling it makes a pretty loud breathing sound at the device, like my inhaling was amplified. its annoying,, What could be causing this ? and how could i solve it?.
@@Sleeplayground Thank very much for your reply and i will try those things you mentioned and see if it goes away. Appreciate your help
Are we able to set it to start with pressure.
Hi,
I am not understanding the question. The machine does start with pressure if I am understanding correctly, sorry. Can you reiterate please?
If I open it up briefly?
Thank you so much for your explanation. I wake up with dry I going to change it tonight again THANK YOU.
Thank you for watching. Your very welcome let me know if anything is needed. We are here to help!

Yes, there should be air that escaped from the escalation ports on the mask. Usually on the elbow depending the mask style, but yes.
Which way should the filter face?
Does not matter which side, either side is fine. They should both be the same and disposable.
Thank you. Nice shirt, where did you get it.
LOL.1 Thanks for reaching out!! UMM! I think Macy's lol
could i use reverse osmosis water instead of distilled water for the tank ? is reverse osmosis water better?
Thanks for reaching out! Absolutely
How often do you change a filter ?
I advise patients the regimen to cleaning is once a week. So I usually say check filter just to get in the routine weekly. When dirty or discolored you can toss and replace.
My S9 is almost done now and I am likely getting this machine. Anyone’s feelings
Great machine small, light weight, Over - the Air updates and software upgrades. Nice features great manufacturer of course.
Thanks for responding. What about noise output has machine gotten quieter?
Excellent no one to explain about function and perfect use , hats off to you people.thank u so much.
You are most welcome!
Hold two fingers on the two display portions and you will go to clinical settings where you can set your pressure and other option settings
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out! LOL! This video was not instructing folks of that, but yes that is how you get into the clinical menu. Thanks for sharing
@@Sleeplayground Thank you for your reply. I turned on the Auto feature on the unit and it did as you said. Have a great day !
I'm in the process of figuring out which machine to go with as a first time patient.
This one seems really nice, I think I am sold with the touch display.
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out!
Very disappointed and still always tired.
stay away from phillips please
How do you set the machine to come when you put your mask on and start breathing without pressing the on button
Press the My options box and My Sleep view box at the same time and hold. It will then say My Settings press and scroll down and you can set it to AutoStart
Great tutorial! Your narrative really helped to make the adjustments. Nice ink who's your artist? Hope they are in SoCal.
Awesome! So happy it helped. Appreciate the compliment, the artist is in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Thank you for your quick response. It is apparent that Res Med does not currently make an oxygen adapter for their heated hose. I also have not found an 8 foot heated hose by Res Med. I assume that since the ResMed 11 is new there has not been a market developed for these products.
There is not a Climate Line tubing with the Oxy adapter unfortunately! They do not make an 8 foot heated tubing either.
This answered many of my questions. I like they was it was kept so simple I now have a better understanding of how this works..
I am happy to hear that this was informative but simplified for you. That is the idea behind the set ups. Get patients to understand how to use and then all the extra features and technical information if needed they can figure out. I am glad you enjoyed and understood. Let us know if anything ever needed, we are here to help!
How about when you sleeping and the person opens the mouth this is a reason to change the mask for the whole face or how many masks can one used to find out the one that works for that person
This video was so very helpful to me. Thank you very much!
You're very welcome! I am very glad it was helpful, please reach out if anything is ever needed. I am here for you!
This is the CPAP machine I have. I really like it.
That is awesome to hear! Yes it is a great machine. Anything Resmed is my go to. Please let me know if anything is ever needed. I will be happy to help.
By the way, thanks for watching!
Great video!
There IS a smooth side and a rough side to the air filters. Are you sure it doesn’t matter which side is facing out?
The smooth side faces out the ruff said is toward the machine.
