I played Arthur as a literal serial killer who took vulnerable people into the wilderness and killed them in brutal ways, and never showed anyone mercy, but still tried to hide his actions from the public and from the gang. I dressed the part, in full black with a black horse named Demon, it was like I was Death incarnate. As the story progressed and the gang fell apart and Arthur's own death loomed near, he grew increasingly desperate and hateful and would recklessly kill people in town, in broad daylight, drawing the noose even tighter around his own neck. When the time came he decided to go back for the money, but he knew he would never live to spend it. He just wanted one last bit of revenge against Dutch, and especially against Micah. Of course John's story is the true redemption here, and Arthur's behaviors explain why John never mentions Arthur in RDR1. It's incredible how an entirely different story can be told through the exact same missions just by player agency
@@plaguepandemic5651but the high honor ending is canon. So it’s still weird why John doesn’t mention Arthur in rdr ( he probably would if the game was made after rdr2 to be fair)
@@Dct_Alonzeno but it’s implied with just the title. Redemption. The whole game is about Arthur growing and gaining more of a moral code. The game starts you out at a lower honor, and try’s to help you finish with a high honor. Although they don’t say that’s canon, I think it’s clearly implied to say the least
@jacoblewis4281 Truth is he never mention Arthur because Arthut did not existed back then. But I think they did a good job "stitching it" ; John talks about Arthur almost a decade after his death during RDR2's epilogue, he even says he avoid talking about him because it makes him sad. He also meet Dutch up there in the mountain. They don't speak about Arthur but Dutch "helps" avenging him. Add another few, maybe 4-5 years for RDR1, time has passed, revenge has been done, that's pretty much it. John now has to save his family, sure he could speak about Arthur because his family being safe in the 1st place is tied with Arthur but yeah, 10, 12 or 13 years later he might have done his grieve work and rather not talk about it. Now I wonder, would they mention Arthur in a RDR1 remake or book or show or whatever that would take place during RDR1 ? I guess so.
Both go back for the money options are great. I’d put both of them over the “help John: low honour” ending easily, but “help John: high honour” is still my personal favourite and makes the most sense as the canonical ending to me. The money endings are SUPER underrated though, and I actually prefer the low honour version between them, surprisingly enough. Sure, it is rough seeing Arthur die the way he does in that ending, but damn if Roger Clark doesn’t deliver some of his absolute best lines across the entire game in that ending. Love the “I didn’t lose!” he delivers to Micah directly after getting stabbed in the chest/heart. The way he says “Kill him! Not Molly… not miss grimshaw… not even Colm…” and the lines following that… damn man, it hits so hard and is delivered incredibly well. Love Dutch’s reaction in that ending too, as well as the beautiful musical piece that plays as he realizes all his mistakes and walks away. I think he knows Arthur is right regardless of what ending you get, but that specific ending sells his belief in Arthur, his regret in betraying him, and his hatred for Micah the best. It’s Arthur’s most emotional and heartfelt line throughout all the endings, and it makes sense that line would convince Dutch so well. The fact that Arthur delivers those killer lines while dying with a knife in his chest is also just incredibly badass and super in character for Arthur too. High honour money is also great, Arthur gets a more dignified death, but those specific lines are just spoken with so much more emotion in the low honour version. Legitimately one of my favourite lines in video game history.
Was just about to comment something like this I feel like the low honour ending going for the money was so raw and probably the most likely to happen dialogue wise the emotion he had when he got intense was the same the whole game and he showed it there
Health cures are weird. If you get shot hundreds of times you’ll be fine as long as you drink them, but if you’re infected with tuberculosis health cures are useless 😔
The worst part about the low honor ending is the fact that Arthur is money hungry it hides how much he cares about the gang because the dialogue and acting is so good
I never thought he was money hungry, cause he still distracted the Pinkertons for John, and also wanted to kill Micah. He even said so as he was leaving John.
With high honor Arthur back to give all the money for John and his family not revenge. Low honor Arthur want share the money with John before run away. If Arthur killed Micah and give money for John everything would be different and maybe none of Rdr 1 events will be happens. John running for Micah in American Venom reminds Arthur when he back for the money, the song, Arthur screaming "Duuutch! Micaah!" Makes more sense why John is so ungry with Micah in epilogue, he just do what Arthur wanted to do. When Arthur helps John doesn't make sense why would John looked back if Arthur says to not to and sacrifices himself for John in the end leaving the money and Micah behind.

In that moment he was chained up, and still trying to fight off Arthur’s attackers who had weapons. Arthur is about to be killed by then and Dutch was legit willing to put his life on the line and risk death trying to save him by going after the attackers.

Its really depressing how only in the end of the low honor money ending he starts silently sobbing and Micah even tears up they both did know they killed the wrong man
Guarma was hilarious. I somehow managed to get so far ahead the game didnt know what to do. The chain was stretched and was struggling to even render a line.

Let me tell you that was BRUTAL as I was deep in the feelings of this being the first time I'm playing. To see Arthur (High Honor at that) die like that really broke me, even though it wasn't a canonical death (you reload and start again, vs all 4 official endings, which end Arthur's gameplay). I have had in my life very vivid nightmares of people dying by getting their skulls crushed, and oof this scene brought those back to my mind man...
the low honour endings are so cool, but I could never bring myself to do a low honour play through 😭😭 also, I absolutely love how high honour Arthur is associated with light. The deer, him covered in light in his death, etc. And low honour Arthur is associated with darkness. The wolf, him up being shrouded in darkness during his death, etc. Its the little details
I fell of the cliff fighting Micah during my second playthrough. It glitches and immediately cut to the scene of Arthur crawling. The fight music kept playing the entire time and ruined the whole thing. Also, the high honor going back for the money ending is bad ass. The music that plays as you make your way back to Beaver Hollow is awesome AND you give Micah something to remember Arthur by 😉

It shows that Dutch cared about Arthur, but he lost his way, and him leaving Arthur to die in the very end no matter how you play or which option you chose shows how much he lost himself. He never lied when he said Arthur was his son
2:34 poor arthur 😢😢
I don't know whats worse. The head stomp or the head smashing
2:10 my stickykeys kicked in and I had to die 3 times to I could get over this fucking thing. I wanna have a nice chat with whoever made stickykeys a thing... a real nice chat...
0:46 dutch getting pissed off and trying to help Arthur I miss the old dutch :(
On the bright sids of all those other death scenes where you fail to fight Micah, at least there's a high chance Micah gets TB from beating him half to death like Aruthur did Thomas.
I've had the thought so many times "why doesn't he spit in Micah's face and give him TB?"
How disgusting it is to watch Arthur Morgan die.
I actually got the high honor help John at my first time playing, and now I can’t bring myself to get the low honor
I’m almost finish n debating today do I want the low or high which I might do high honor since I made Arthur become a better person
Go for high
Dam... Low honor help john ending.. just damn them both
Your right in something, I'll never see him die for ever cause I'm never going to play the last mission
The don't crawl one💀
Looks little girly, but it is still hard to watch
These low honor endings are very disrespectful to Arthur
My first ever play through I did the 'low honor go back for the money' ending, goddamn it hit hard I wasn't ready for what happened to Arthur.
This is so painful
Love you Arthur ❤️
Its really depressing how only in the end of the low honor money ending he starts silently sobbing and Micah even tears up they both did know they killed the wrong man
people on tiktok when somebody talks for 0.0007 seconds 1:56
8:38 TENNIS BOAT🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥
Number 4s my favourite as it shows Micahs serious
You forgot about the one when you don’t break free when going back for the money low honor it’s slightly different
I like how 90% of players didn't saw the secret deaths in chapter 6 finale because of how determined we were
Guarma was hilarious. I somehow managed to get so far ahead the game didnt know what to do. The chain was stretched and was struggling to even render a line.
I don’t know why seeing Arthur sit up after stabbed low honer is just sad but it’s just a game
7:14 is the saddest ending for Arthur
Something about the Music
1:56 "TRUST ME imma get marston too"
*"iTS JOHN MARSTON MICAH"*
When me and my friends came together to discuss red dead after were all finished, one of my friends explained his ending (which was the low honor ending of micahs eye slashed) and i called him out saying hes a liar, but to my surprise he wasnt lying
You did miss the lion secret death but still a cool video
I got the 6th one on my first playthrough bc my dumbass didn't realize I had to spam the button and now just hold it...
3:28
Actually o think it’s the death scene the most players saw
I didnt
the low honour endings are so cool, but I could never bring myself to do a low honour play through 😭😭
also, I absolutely love how high honour Arthur is associated with light. The deer, him covered in light in his death, etc. And low honour Arthur is associated with darkness. The wolf, him up being shrouded in darkness during his death, etc. Its the little details
Well, four of them (Help John (High honor) ; Go to money (High honor) & Help John (Low Honor) ; Go to money (Low honor)) are canon ending of Arthur...
pretty sure only one can be canon
@@kindertak5396 - 4 of them canon but they are depends on you. The canon one is Arthur's death.
@@mafia_gamer_official30973high honor help John is the canon ending
@@leonrussell9607 - *Death of Arthur* is canon in general. Others are just left for our decide.
@@mafia_gamer_official30973 its not though, low honour playthroughs and going for the money go against the entire point of the game
Very end was a little scary but not now
I fell of the cliff fighting Micah during my second playthrough. It glitches and immediately cut to the scene of Arthur crawling. The fight music kept playing the entire time and ruined the whole thing.
Also, the high honor going back for the money ending is bad ass. The music that plays as you make your way back to Beaver Hollow is awesome AND you give Micah something to remember Arthur by 😉
The serial killer one is so funny, he just lowers the knife out of frame and arthur just makes weird moaning noises. But at least its a death scene😭
Why did Arthur sound like that??
Don’t think those sounds were moaning tho. Probably worse than that
7:38 I did this ending and I modded John into it and we kept beating the crap outa Micah and the mission would even fail saying “Micah died” and I was like “WELL ISNT THAT THE POINT”
Micah: "You ain't gonna reach that gun!"
Arthur: "Actually, you're right."
The low honor go back for money ending is quite fitting considering Micah stabs Arthur in the back like he did to the gang.
Did anyone else notice that in the low honor (help john) ending, micah hesitates for a second before shooting arthur.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEO IT A THUMB UP ON YOUR VIDEO FOREVER FROM RASHEED NATHA ONLYS
The low honor helping john ending is so brutal..
i had the first one happen to me last week because my W key was stuck or something, thankfully i only got to the one where they hit him twice lmao
Damn micah killing him in thease is so violent and brutal. Scary
Intrusive thoughts in school: 1:45
The sad realization that Arthur ain’t respawning this time is heartbreaking
It hurt to watch Arthur die like that I bet you had to walk away
"Trust me, I'mma kill Marston, too."
"DEAD"
on first playthrough i didnt understand the crawling mechanic, so i got my head smashed like 6 times in a row.. fuckin brutal
its really painful to watch arthur die this way 😭
The don’t crawl one is painful
