Ahhhh, I love this and I'm definitely getting it as a PML collector, but I have to admit that I'm not very happy with the way she's/her team has been handling the releases. They're clearly at capacity and can barely keep up! My lipstick order FINALLY shipped on the 17th. My Star Wars palettes just shipped, and unfortunately I'll barely have any time to fully enjoy my new palettes before the next one releases. I love her, but the month of December has been rough as a fan.
Coco Violet And she is using the Decadence palette repackaged in Star Wars packaging. Come on, really? At her prices she's tying to be slick reselling in Star Wars crap. I don't care about Star Wars, I just want the Mardi .gras decadence packaging. She has things so annoying, tired of her sneaky ways, starting more panic marketing...so over it! So I feel ya girl!
I know this video is not helpful, but I think this was a glitch. It was supposed to be on sale, that’s why it say “currently unavailable”. So I think this might be slated for January, since it’s for Chinese New Year. I’m not entirely sure, but just speculating.

I love Pats' pallets but I am getting a little perturbed at how she is limiting her releases, and the fact that people are chasing after them. I hate this sale strategy. Are we after the product or the chase? It's getting old.....
And she has barely given any proper apologies for the way she's been handling shipments and releases, and have been leaving customers in the complete dark for weeks. She needs to sort her company and team out before she goes in for more cash grabs. It's so disrespectful to her loyal fans who pay a premium for her products.
@@aliciaarcher Yes, but think Mothership VII Divine Rose ~~ most of us on the U.S. side of the pond had zero chance at it and I don't trust Poshmark or other second sellers, nor do I want or will I pay double or triple for a used palette or "NIB" palette. I get it was an exclusive launch for Europe, but I still got a lot of notifications from PM's site that made me feel as if that palette was an option at some point on this side of the pond.
redolentkate I feel like it was very easy to buy and I didn’t do anything other sign up for emails on her website. Is this marketing to exploit FOMO, absolutely. But you all are the ones allowing yourself to be played. I could tell I wanted Divine Rose, but I wasn’t going to die without it and I never considered paying $30 for shipping to get it from Selfridges. I get why YT’ers do it, it’s their job (most are making at least a little money from their vids).

I have watched this video so many times that I've lost count. I put myself on a no buy ban last week but figured if I'm this interested in a palette...especially when its LE then I HAD to get it. Just purchased from PML website with no issues. Fingers crossed my order doesn't get cancelled! Your moon phase all over lid look (it is stunning on you!) pretty much sold me this palette. That and the packaging of course!
Awesome job on the review, I have divine rose and the ritualistic rose thought this one one a combination of the two but again you prove my thoughts wrong with the swatches. Pat really needs to send you PR you do the best job ever explaining the palettes and differences when they look very close in color and texture. Thank you
So I'm watching this video for a second time since Pat announced the release date of this palette for the U.S. I'm so excited for this and I love the packaging. Also, I was just thinking about the 6-pan Star Wars palettes and I think I know why she went with that more traditional eyeshadow palette structure rather than her envelope style. I'm pretty sure it was because of how the artwork was laid out. With her other palettes, the continuity of illustration of the palette would not be compromised because the full illustration is still on the bottom flap. With the Star Wars palette the licensed artwork may have only been approved to be shown with the full character image. If they went with the original style they would have to print the Star Wars Trademark which is probably hot-stamped or cold foil (most likely hot stamped since it's used for luxury packaging and is also more expensive. Since this is a limited edition and they had to keep the SRP at the same price as her other 6 pan shadows as well as the fact that the quantities produced would be less than her other 6 pan palettes and the fact that the Star Wars licensor is probably taking a cut of the sales going with a more traditional style eyeshadow package was probably a cost savings thing. So here's the thing. I've been OOO since December 20th and I'm not returning to the office until January 6th, so I haven't been able to talk technical packaging shit for like 2 weeks and I probably subconsciously think that I'm going to mysteriously lose all of this knowledge because I haven't been asked a packaging question in over a week lol.

Alicia...Seriously....After watching your great Pat McGrath videos...I hit the trigger and finally bought one...THIS one. I had to wait for just the right shades that I knew I would get a lot of use from. I read this IS limited edition...I would have liked to get Divine Rose, but apparently so would thousands of other folks. I so appreciate the time and effort you take to CLEARLY describe the pallets..Just a side note I also got the CT Starry Eyes to Hypnotize ONLY because you demonstrated that it could be used on darker skin tones...You were right...It works great and I was very happy with it.

Ok my second comment ... lol. I love the looks you created. You always come up with beautiful looks. But I wish she would sometimes do different shades in her palettes. Don’t get me wrong , I’m a huge PMG fan and buy everything she comes out with and always love them and like you said, the shades are never exact like you pointed out. I was drawn to divine rose and dark galaxy of the Star Wars collection because they were pinks. Especially the matte shade in dark galaxy. I am in love with that shadow. It’s gorgeous. I would love to see silvers and gunmetals and correlating shades with them. Could you imagine ? I have the kits she came out with that had the pigment and the eyeliner and mixing medium that came in silver, gold and bronze. I have them and that silver is amazing !
I'm over stressing out about her products. Just took a step back, and if something I like pops up and I want to buy it, great. But I'm not spending time hovering around websites anymore, for any brand. LE burnout, methinks. 🙂

Oh, wow! that is pretty!! The only Thing I'm noticing, is that the Selfridges releases tend have more subdued pinky shades but with unique packaging. Maybe marketed to more toward the everyday use and vanity displays. I bought Dark Galaxy from the Star Wars release because the shades were more punchy and like a more intense La Vie en Rose. Your look came out gorgeous. I was going to wait for the Mothership 7 re-release but I may check out this one, if it's easy to get.
I love watching you talk about Pat McGrath. Just started this year buying Pat with the astral quad except for the blue and green. I absolutely love her formula. I also got the gold Star Wars and hoping to get the Opulence. . Having watched and rewatched all your McGrath videos as I am not a professional, I find that the smaller pallets I can manage better. But I will tell you, McGrath formulas are superb! Today I started with a 5 pallet Denona and mid way I went over to McGrath as her formula is so much more brilliant. I know you get many negative comments but your videos are very informative. I can see why you love McGrath shadows so much! Keep showing us what can be done with McGrath shadows. I don't have any of her singles, so getting some dupes from the single line in a palette is a win for me you're absolutely right about the golds leaning one way or another depending what you pair it with, like if you put gold standard on with a green it's going to appear more olive gold than yellow gold and if you pair gold fortune with a red or a copper it'll lean more bronze than gold.
These colors kill me, so pretty! But I'm still waiting for the rose- dangit can't remember the name, the rose PM palette that only sold for a few hours never to be seen again ??? You know the one... Anyways, I am stubborn, when I get something into my mind that's it, so until it comes back, I will wait. I only need ONE PM palette to make me happy, the one I think is most beautiful of all... Just like in the fairy tales... I love being grown up, I can do what I want (!!!) and still be immature :)
I am still waiting on that one too. I guess it will be a fantasy never to come true. I wish her team would focus on replenishing out of stock palettes versus pushing new product. That rose was the only palette I would consider paying her inflated $125 price for.
I just got mine earlier this week. It is beautiful. It is a great palette to create very wearable looks...that may be amped up with the gold shade. I also think it is going to be more accessible.
This is a lovely palette, and I really like that she's releasing one for the Chinese New Year. I might be missing some releases, but I'm not aware of any other brands doing that currently. I don't know if you plan to get it, but there's a Sydney Grace palette coming out in Jan! I love the fact that there's doing a lighter and deeper version, and *fingers crossed* I'd love to see any looks you create with it.

There were more Pat McGrath releases this year than ever before. I have all 18 of her palettes but this is the first one I’m going to skip on. The packaging is beautiful but after seeing all your comparison swatches, there aren’t any stand out shades for me. I cannot wait to see what she has for us in 2020! Maybe an all matte palette 🙏😍
Domo technically there are 21 ;) I didn’t get the small kit with the glitter it looked cheap. And the 2 5-pans I had all of those shades in other palettes. I want this palette but frustrated with the hassle. Feels like I’m being played by a brand I would happily give my money to otherwise. And there’s no explanation or apology. I was lucky enough to get all the palettes but watching people spend $400 on the 2 Star Wars releases on 3rd party retailers - it’s ridiculous and so disrespectful of customers.
I have 19 (got the Subversive 5 pan because I wanted Synthetica), and will buy this one... but I'm still not happy about the way her team handled things this month.

I ordered the Deep Space Duo from Pat's website and received my delivery on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Galactic Gold palette was damaged 😫 I emailed customer service so hopefully I'll get a replacement. The Star Wars palettes sold on her website just close with a magnet which I like much better than the old school mail package loop closure of her other 6 pans. The palettes are quicker to get into and look more sleek in my opinion. I was more excited about the other palette, Dark Galaxy which I'm going to wear tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get my hands on Decadence on Thursday to complete my Pat McGrath collection. I signed up for early access and alarms are set. Hopefully, this palette will be available on her website soon. I didn't know this palette existed.

I love Pats' pallets but I am getting a little perturbed at how she is limiting her releases, and the fact that people are chasing after them. I hate this sale strategy. Are we after the product or the chase? It's getting old.....
I completely understand that, but I think this was an accident. I don’t think Selfridges meant to have this available for purchase.
And she has barely given any proper apologies for the way she's been handling shipments and releases, and have been leaving customers in the complete dark for weeks. She needs to sort her company and team out before she goes in for more cash grabs. It's so disrespectful to her loyal fans who pay a premium for her products.
@@aliciaarcher Yes, but think Mothership VII Divine Rose ~~ most of us on the U.S. side of the pond had zero chance at it and I don't trust Poshmark or other second sellers, nor do I want or will I pay double or triple for a used palette or "NIB" palette. I get it was an exclusive launch for Europe, but I still got a lot of notifications from PM's site that made me feel as if that palette was an option at some point on this side of the pond.

But you all are the ones allowing yourself to be played. I could tell I wanted Divine Rose, but I wasn’t going to die without it and I never considered paying $30 for shipping to get it from Selfridges. I get why YT’ers do it, it’s their job (most are making at least a little money from their vids).

I caught the email notification the next day, I did not hover on my email with baited breath for the notification, did not know I had to. I am not being played. I just would have like the have MS VII divine rose, as I too knew I wanted it, no hesitation, it is a stunning palette, as you know better than I, as you were able to purchase it so easily.

I have watched this video so many times that I've lost count. I put myself on a no buy ban last week but figured if I'm this interested in a palette...especially when its LE then I HAD to get it. Just purchased from PML website with no issues. Fingers crossed my order doesn't get cancelled! Your moon phase all over lid look (it is stunning on you!) pretty much sold me this palette. That and the packaging of course!
Awesome job on the review, I have divine rose and the ritualistic rose thought this one one a combination of the two but again you prove my thoughts wrong with the swatches. Pat really needs to send you PR you do the best job ever explaining the palettes and differences when they look very close in color and texture. Thank you
So I'm watching this video for a second time since Pat announced the release date of this palette for the U.S. I'm so excited for this and I love the packaging. Also, I was just thinking about the 6-pan Star Wars palettes and I think I know why she went with that more traditional eyeshadow palette structure rather than her envelope style. I'm pretty sure it was because of how the artwork was laid out. With her other palettes, the continuity of illustration of the palette would not be compromised because the full illustration is still on the bottom flap. With the Star Wars palette the licensed artwork may have only been approved to be shown with the full character image. If they went with the original style they would have to print the Star Wars Trademark which is probably hot-stamped or cold foil (most likely hot stamped since it's used for luxury packaging and is also more expensive. Since this is a limited edition and they had to keep the SRP at the same price as her other 6 pan shadows as well as the fact that the quantities produced would be less than her other 6 pan palettes and the fact that the Star Wars licensor is probably taking a cut of the sales going with a more traditional style eyeshadow package was probably a cost savings thing. So here's the thing. I've been OOO since December 20th and I'm not returning to the office until January 6th, so I haven't been able to talk technical packaging shit for like 2 weeks and I probably subconsciously think that I'm going to mysteriously lose all of this knowledge because I haven't been asked a packaging question in over a week lol.

I had to wait for just the right shades that I knew I would get a lot of use from. I read this IS limited edition...I would have liked to get Divine Rose, but apparently so would thousands of other folks. I so appreciate the time and effort you take to CLEARLY describe the pallets..Just a side note I also got the CT Starry Eyes to Hypnotize ONLY because you demonstrated that it could be used on darker skin tones...You were right...It works great and I was very happy with it.

Ok my second comment ... lol. I love the looks you created. You always come up with beautiful looks. But I wish she would sometimes do different shades in her palettes. Don’t get me wrong , I’m a huge PMG fan and buy everything she comes out with and always love them and like you said, the shades are never exact like you pointed out. I was drawn to divine rose and dark galaxy of the Star Wars collection because they were pinks. Especially the matte shade in dark galaxy. I am in love with that shadow. It’s gorgeous. I would love to see silvers and gunmetals and correlating shades with them. Could you imagine ? I have the kits she came out with that had the pigment and the eyeliner and mixing medium that came in silver, gold and bronze. I have them and that silver is amazing !

Oh, wow! that is pretty!! The only Thing I'm noticing, is that the Selfridges releases tend have more subdued pinky shades but with unique packaging. Maybe marketed to more toward the everyday use and vanity displays. I bought Dark Galaxy from the Star Wars release because the shades were more punchy and like a more intense La Vie en Rose. Your look came out gorgeous. I was going to wait for the Mothership 7 re-release but I may check out this one, if it's easy to get.

I love watching you talk about Pat McGrath. Just started this year buying Pat with the astral quad except for the blue and green. I absolutely love her formula. I also got the gold Star Wars and hoping to get the Opulence. . Having watched and rewatched all your McGrath videos as I am not a professional, I find that the smaller pallets I can manage better. But I will tell you, McGrath formulas are superb! Today I started with a 5 pallet Denona and mid way I went over to McGrath as her formula is so much more brilliant. I know you get many negative comments but your videos are very informative. I can see why you love McGrath shadows so much! Keep showing us what can be done with McGrath shadows. you're absolutely right about the golds leaning one way or another depending what you pair it with, like if you put gold standard on with a green it's going to appear more olive gold than yellow gold and if you pair gold fortune with a red or a copper it'll lean more bronze than gold.

These colors kill me, so pretty! But I'm still waiting for the rose- dangit can't remember the name, the rose PM palette that only sold for a few hours never to be seen again ??? You know the one... Anyways, I am stubborn, when I get something into my mind that's it, so until it comes back, I will wait. I only need ONE PM palette to make me happy, the one I think is most beautiful of all... Just like in the fairy tales... I love being grown up, I can do what I want (!!!) and still be immature :)

I just got mine earlier this week. It is beautiful. It is a great palette to create very wearable looks...that may be amped up with the gold shade. I also think it is going to be more accessible.
This is a lovely palette, and I really like that she's releasing one for the Chinese New Year. I might be missing some releases, but I'm not aware of any other brands doing that currently.
I don't know if you plan to get it, but there's a Sydney Grace palette coming out in Jan! I love the fact that there's doing a lighter and deeper version, and *fingers crossed* I'd love to see any looks you create with it.

There were more Pat McGrath releases this year than ever before. I have all 18 of her palettes but this is the first one I’m going to skip on. The packaging is beautiful but after seeing all your comparison swatches, there aren’t any stand out shades for me. I cannot wait to see what she has for us in 2020! Maybe an all matte palette 🙏😍
Domo technically there are 21 ;) I didn’t get the small kit with the glitter it looked cheap. And the 2 5-pans I had all of those shades in other palettes. I want this palette but frustrated with the hassle. Feels like I’m being played by a brand I would happily give my money to otherwise. And there’s no explanation or apology. I was lucky enough to get all the palettes but watching people spend $400 on the 2 Star Wars releases on 3rd party retailers - it’s ridiculous and so disrespectful of customers.

Seams like it would be a good accompaniment to the iconic Illumination quad. Feeling confused by these sudden releases though. It's like Midnight Sun never really got the chance to shine, if anything it should have been the limited edition of all these last quarter releases.

I ordered the Deep Space Duo from Pat's website and received my delivery on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Galactic Gold palette was damaged 😫 I emailed customer service so hopefully I'll get a replacement. The Star Wars palettes sold on her website just close with a magnet which I like much better than the old school mail package loop closure of her other 6 pans. The palettes are quicker to get into and look more sleek in my opinion. I was more excited about the other palette, Dark Galaxy which I'm going to wear tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get my hands on Decadence on Thursday to complete my Pat McGrath collection. I signed up for early access and alarms are set. Hopefully, this palette will be available on her website soon. I didn't know this palette existed.

I'm also desperate for a highlighter for cheekbones but they all mainly seem to have metallic in them and I'm wanting a shimmery, satin, dewy shine that looks like your skin is glowing madly and shows up. Love the video and I am so happy you can review this for us. I understand this was not supposed to be reveal yet, but a lot of customers are so frustrated due to crazy releases and the item is been sold out so quickly. I remember last year the collection was not sold out that quick. Many of the customers had the chance to have them. I hope this fomo don't continue is getting old and I am getting tired. I have pretty much gotten all the palettes including the last 2 six pans with 20% off. I am not going to jump through hoops- if it comes easy then I get it. None of this has affected my love for Pat except how long they took to ship my cyber Monday lipsticks! I will get this if it is easily available.
