Agreed! So underrated! I’m tan-deep and I just use a cool toned matte like the taupe-lilac matte in Divine Rose one to get some depth. Love that unicorn quad! I love Sunlit Seduction, but would have appreciated it more if the last four shades were baked no doubt. The crimson shade, when applied with a finger, is stunning! It’s my favorite shade in the palette although it’s known as the dud.
I agree that Fleur Fantasia is a highly underrated quad. In my collection, it’s my most used PML quad actually and the reason i like it that much is because i think it’s the best pastel palette ever created and it blows my mind that it is just a quad. Agree that it is something that i mostly use in spring but damn that duochrome is the best pastel duochrome - like lavendar to green? And its texture is unique - and the shades paired with it are all different! Pink, orange and yellow right?!? That’s what makes it so versatile - i can always dip into a neutral palette for a brown or a mauve or a grey but that quad makes me feel like an underrated artist and i love it!

Two of them were back in 2023. Both times they were offered as a GWP, and I’m not sure whether you could actually buy them. But, they were indeed back with less product in them.
Completely agree with you on the pan sizes! I'm so sad that PMG pan sizes have gotten smaller, not really because of the smaller amount of product but because of the diminished visual impact. There is something so luxe about the PMG 30mm pan size. The smaller pans sizes simply look cheap. If it was really necessary to change from 30mm to 26mm, the packaging should have been re-designed. Seeing 26mm pans in quads designed for 30mm is just sad. I always enjoy your rankings, although Risque Rose and Fleur Fantasia are the top of my list 💖 I think all her color stories are lovely, and it's really down to personal preference (and what looks good on you) for what your favorites might be.
I agree, it was strange. The 30mm size is what made a splash back in 2017 with the first three motherships, and to see them in a quad was fantastic. It was unique to see that size from a luxury brand.
The beautiful thing is, everyone has their own taste. As for PML eyeshadow palettes, they are very difficult to rank, as all of them are stunning,…some more than others and some are neck and neck. You will have them ranked this way and in the next 6 months, that will all change. No worries! I’m worried about the quality of the next 10-pan Mothership as well🤞
I think after the reviews about the quality of this past Mothership that Pat will have no choice but to stand up to all of the others making the business decisions at PML's and stand up for her name, as it's hers that is on the brand. Too many cooks spoil the broth and in this case, plus for a number of Motherships now, this Company needs to be re-arranged to get their eyes back onto the product and to improve each them time, not just the profit margin. Pat needs to get her brand back on track and pull out something spectacular to bring the customers back. I've never heard such controversy over other brands. I didn't bother with the last two ABH Palettes, especially as one was far too dark, yet I never heard the out cry Pat receives with each Mothership, even Moonlit Seduction which was one I truly adore. I think by this time, it was too late and customers wanted something totally different to forgive her for the three Divine Roses. After coming out with yet another 'rosy-toned' Mothership so soon and with not good quality reviews, she's shot herself in the foot and she'll need something amazing to get her out of this mess. I also enjoy watching these ranking videos, as it shows how different we all are. I've never bought a Quad myself, yet I just bought some 5-pans which were reduced significantly during her Sale. That's why I enjoyed this so much, as I'm not familiar with the Quads. Alicia is always fun to listen to as well.💖
PMG brought back Nocturnal Nirvana for a blink-and-you-missed moment in 2021. And the same for Iconic Illumination last year. I think they were both 25% off. My knees got weak when I opened the packages -- they're that beautiful.
I saw it pop up iEarlier in the year in 2023 as well. I wasn’t checking for PML quads at the time so I skipped on it. But now it’s on my wishlist. I have a feeling we will see some of these popping back in as the company realizes these faves are money makers
Aloha Alicia. My Voyeuristic Vixen also cracked. I didn't need to use alcohol to press it back in. I just pressed it in very well using a hardware clamp (this has saved so many of my eyeshadows). ❤
Interstellar Icon is hands down my favorite too. In fact my top two are the same as yours and I decluttered all the others 🫢. There's something special about the shades in Interstellar Icon even though they're not "special". I don't even wear blues but the blue in that palette is stunning and so wearable for a blue.

Happy New Year! I only have 4 quads, the bliss astrals plus iconic illumination, and I have to go with Ritualistic Rose being my number one! 🎉 I love the pinks 🥰
My favorite is Voyeuristic Vixen, the top right shade is the most special one in the PMG line, the quad is so easy to use, quality is incredible but that's just my opinion!
Happy new year! I don't know if we'll ever get the blitz formula again in quads but I am confident we will get it back in the motherships. Where does this confidence come from? No idea. It's something that defines Pat's brand too much to be completely eliminated. I am also not entirely on board when people say that her first 3 motherships were her best and then it went down from there (colour-story wise). First of all, Midnight Sun is her best palette, imo, so I cannot stand that. You can go anywhere with Midnight Sun. Sure, it can be daily friendly, but one can be creative and the special shades really give lots of possibilities. To me, it's the mothership that doesn't put any limits. Very Pat McGrath. While I am not a big fan of Divine Rose, I think that Divine Rose 2 is quintessential Pat McGrath. Sure, it's pink and we got used to pink being promoted by every brand. However, Pat McGrath is first and foremost an artist, probably THE artist in the industry. I remember some of her looks from when I was a kid and they featured hot pink. I am 42, and I still remember them. Not quite average, I'd say. I believe DR2 delivers a big piece of Pat's artistry. That being said, let's collectively hope we get the special shades in her next mothership and let's hope for a forest theme palette. I enjoyed her latest palette more than most, but I am ready for something else. I am skipping on the green palettes I see from other brands thinking "I'll get Pat's next mothership" as a way to manifest it :D.
I’m hanging on as well! 😆 And yes, I discussed this very point where someone else thought that the true Golden Era started with Bronze Seduction, and continued through Divine Rose II. Now, Midnight Sun is my most favorite Pat palette of all time. I’m with you on all the points you made, and still fight for that palette. Because when it released, it didn’t get as much buzz since it came after Bronze Seduction, which sold out quickly. Her first three I think were almost like a shock wave for the beauty industry. To see those huge pans, in these large palettes was like 😳 And from a luxury brand, no less. Which is why I get pissed when people constantly want to compare her stuff to indie, and the indie shadows were not around when Pat was working the runway. Like you had said, and have witnessed, Pat had this vision FROM THE BEGINNING. And why I will treasure her motherships I-VIII.
What a great ranking and i love your explanation as to why each ranking is placed where it is. I hava all 12 as well. My least favorite is Bronze Borealis but i think its because i got a dud. Two of the shades in my quad are the exact same. I dont know what happened to my quad when it went thru QC approval. Someone wasnt paying attention. My top 3 are Venus in Fluers, Interstellar Icon, and Ritualistic Rose. I wish we could get more quads of the special baked shades. But unfortunately i dont think that will happen and for that reason ill treasure Iconic Illumination, Nocturnal Nirvana, and Ritualistic Rose. I do love the all matte palette from the Love collection to pair with these special quads ❤
We’ll see if the brand was cooking up something nice for 2024. Maybe they needed a year to get the appropriate materials. That’s what I’m speculating, anyway 😆

@LadyJoolree it's been so long since that purchase and not sure if they will honor it now. 🤔 I didn't know at first that mine was a dud til I watched reviews and was like , mine is different! I noticed at first when I swatched but didn't think anything of it. I prob should email and send a picture.
My favourite part of a ranking video is the reasons behind the ranking. I also sneakily steal ideas for my singles in my BYOP groupings. I’ve also been using Danessa Myricks’ Groundwork to lay down the base for accent and colour eyeshadows. I will say PML Quads are so much better than any Chanel Quad I’ve ever owned. They are so much more usable and wearable. You can always pull a one and done from at least one shadow in a PML Quad. I don’t have as many of them, mind you.
I’m still going back and forth about groundwork. Maybe I’ll finally make the plunge. And why I said that Pat is more bang for your buck when compared to Chanel back in 2019. People were going on and on about the price, and I was like DO YOU SEE HOW LARGE THESE PANS ARE!? 😆
Thank you for reminding us about the beautiful quads! With the broken shadow, just gently press it back into the pan with a clean finger. The same thing happened to me. I think it’s just because of the formula which is a bit more fragile
I agree with your ranking of Fleur Fantasia as #12. It's a pretty palette, but the color story is quite specific. I pulled it out on Monday & made myself use it because I never reach for it. I put that iridescent shade in the inner corner & used it as a highlighter. WOW! I couldn't stop staring at myself in the mirror all day long.
Right, although specific, it has its moments! I too like to sprinkle some FF on the eyes, whether it be all shades or a few. I think it shines when used for accents.
Ooooh I guessed your favourite at the very beginning!! I understand why you ranked it no. 1, it is an absolutely incredible palette. The way the shades are not-quite-neutrals... it's not like you look at it and think 'wow that's out there' but there are just these twists that make the shades so *different* and then the way they can be combined is so different as well. It has that real edge to it without being garish that sums up PMG at her finest for me. We actually have the same picks for no. 1 and no. 2, although I have to say it kills me a bit not to give the top spot to no. 2 and I keep going back and forth about it like I'm ranking my own children lol. No. 2 is glorious, glorious, glorious. I did not think shades with that much red in them belonged on anybody's eyes but there is one particular shade in that palette made a convert of me. I have to give the no. 3 and no. 4 shades to the remaining Blitz Astral palettes, also in the same order you ranked them. For me a big part of the appeal of PMG is how the shades come together and I think in the lowest ranking Blitz Astral quad there are the fewest shade combinations. Although the duochrome in the lowest ranking palette battles with the gold in the highest ranking palette for 'Best Shade In All of the Quads' for me :)
YOU UNDERSTAND!! 😆 As you said, the shades from Interstellar might not be neutral, neutral, but I think it’s because Hypnotique doesn’t have a strong base of color. It’s not in your face blue, but a wash with beautiful reflectivity. Which allows it to be paired with any shadow, and not completely overtake the look. I too felt bad about not awarding Iconic Illumination the top spot, but there is something about Divine Dahlia 😮💨 But Blitz Bordeaux is so versatile. I think because it’s desaturated, which makes it more wearable.

It's so funny you made that comment about Blitz Bordeaux because I was literally just commenting somewhere else that one reason I think that Iconic Illumination is so versatile is that Blitz Bordeaux and Blitz Brown aren't super blingy like Astral Gold Allure and Bronze Gold 003. But you are right, it is also the shade of Blitz Bordeaux, that depth and as you say desaturated quality it has makes it much less scary than say Blitz Flame from Bronze Seduction. Anyway it means you can make a complete look out of the quad without looking unbalanced. Tbh if Pat were still giving us baked shades I would have no second thoughts about ranking Interstellar Icon no. 1. It's just so special. But I almost feel like I need to protest the discontinuation of the baked formula somehow ;) Ok I better stop because I've written you an essay lol, but thanks for taking the time to reply, it's so nice of you.
The formula in that shade in deep space divinity must be fragile. Mine arrived shattered also. You have me excited to revisit my quads!!! Interstellar icon is everything.

You should really try to put the pink from Risqué Rose on top of the brown to see that lovely shade it creates, and then with a blending brush, put a small diffused amount of Lavendaring and it will melt your heart for sure 🥰

Hey gorgeous, I'm good with your choices. The only change I would make is to switch 1 and 2. I have both of them and, for me, Iconic Illumination is slightly more versatile. I just received Interstellar Icon from her vault sale. Divine Dahlia and Hypnotique were the reasons I wanted it so bad. But Golden Polaris was a real surprise that works very well with my deep skin tone. This was fun to watch!
Since Pat has gone mainstream, which she obviously has with the Pink Extravaganza of the last few years, we must acknowledge that someone has picked up the avant guard torch. The obvious heir is Isamaya with multiple finishes n interesting shades in 2 Industrial palettes
I dunno. I think Danessa Myricks is giving a good college try. Especially with her multi use liquid tubes and the balm formula. That recent Lightworks palette is giving me the save-up and see vibes!
Hey Alicia, I like your ranking. I only have six of the quads. The three Blitz, two Celestial and the Venusian Sunrise. I had stopped buying them once the pan sizes got smaller. But of the one I have interstellar icon, iconic illumination ritualistic rose are mt favorites.
On your shattered shadow, the formula is pretty soft, and can be pressed right back into the pan and wrap a quarter in tissue and press it down and should be usable
Pat rereleased her OG blue single shadow. Ya don't get as much shadow as the original release but that same color. Maybe just maybe she'll dip back into 2019 as well.
This was such a joy to watch. I pulled out my quads and walked through them with you. Just hearing your perspective and ideas on how to wear each reignited my love for these eyeshadows. Ritualistic rose will be my focus palette of the year. I always forget about my quads but every look is always so beautiful. I couldn’t do the blue blood repeat but I want those other three shades.

I absolutely agree on your no 1, it’s my most loved and most worn quad by Mother Pat, and I’m pale as a ghost. So it even suits me❤ I also adore Fleur Fantasia, but for me the pale apricot color is an all over lid shade that I can sheer out as a transition😅. I’ve only got 6 quads but my number.1 is the same as yours!!! My rankings would be: 1. Interstellar Icon (PERFECT PALETTE!) 2. Voyeuristic Vixen (twilight bronze and that deep matte shade are my faves!) 3. Ritualistic Rose (so beautiful for topper shades) 4. Fleur Fantasia (so perfect when I want to feel soft and pretty) 5. Eternal Eden (feel the same way about that bright pink but the cooler bottom 2 shades are so beautiful I had to buy it!) 6. Nocturnal Nirvana (in last place just because it’s a difficult colourstory to pull on the day to day) Haven’t bought a quad since she shrunk the pans and removed the hieroglyphics on the front 😢
So I ordered interstellar icon. I didn’t have that one. We just have to keep using all of her old products that are AMAZING and iconic. I used divine rose 1 for new years and it was stunning. I truly hope she comes back with her iconic baked shades. Otherwise we’ll just have to reminisce about the good old days.
I love your video. I love your passion when it comes to great eyeshadows. 😊I really love watching your ranking videos. But…lol I just don’t see the hype with Pat McGrath eyeshadows. I bought a palette and actually returned it because I was so underwhelmed. I was thinking the formula was going to be out of this world! I was expecting it to let off rays of light when I opened the palette 😂 but it didn’t. I felt it was like all other high-end eyeshadows, and nothing special. So many companies are making those wonderful eyeshadow formulas now, with the buttery softness, the creaminess, easy blend-ability, high shine, multichromes, and duochromes, and at half the price of a Pat McGrath palette. Sure, her formula *was* great, and special when it first came out, but now other companies caught on, and can make the same quality shadows. So, I don’t know how her company is going to survive in the future, without some big improvements, or lowering her prices.
Which one did you buy? And yes, I understand that other companies are killing it with the formula. But I just don’t like the packaging. And also, I think Pat’s earlier palettes (1-8) were truly unique to the industry at the time. It wasn’t just the shades, but coming from the high fashion perspective is what I feel defined her brand. Because I said it then, the indie shadows for me are great, but when it comes to color stories is where I feel they fall short. But that’s just my opinion, and I’m clearly biased 🤷🏽♀️
I sadly only have 5 quads but because of you I have the 3 astro, interstellar icon and fleur fantasia. Astro gold allure might be one of my top 3 pat shades. I can hate my eyeshadow and pop that on top for instant glam that I love

For me, it's so difficult to rank my quads! I LOVE Interstellar Icon, Voyeuristic Vixen, and Nocturnal Nirvana dearly, even though NN isn't exactly the most practical of color stories especially for "everyday" type of eye looks. Out of my 4, Bronze Borealis just feels "boring" to me. It's easy for me to find those shades running all through my stash.
Right, Bronze Borealis is a reliable backup, but can be replicated. NN I love for its intensity, but depending on how they’re applied can determine the overall look. It’s nice to experiment with varying degrees of color richness to find that right delivery.
UGG! I wish I had seen this video last week when Pat McGrath’s whole website was on sale. I had your number one quad in my cart and decided against it because I thought Divine Dahlia was a plain foiled Brown that I already have. Now not only is the sale over, but the price has gone up. I’m not paying $62 for a quad!

I picked up Deep Space Divinity during recent vault opening and guess what. It arrived a big old mess. I was ready to cry but wrote the company for a replacement but it was already sold out so they refunded me. I’m struggling t.with what to do but seeing that you still have yours in this state maybe I can try to doctor mine and save some of the shadow
I am checking with Faces By Gina about how to best repress the broken shadow. I did do some light dusting with a fluffy brush to remove some of the shadow that had gotten into the other shades and it worked quite well however every time I reopen the palette I still find bits of stray shadow sparkles just popping up 😂😂
Totally agree with you! The mthrshps are too expensive not to come with the special shades! As a matter of fact, she should have launched have an all-special shades mthrship by now...
I been losing hope that she will bring the Astro blitz quads. I really thought this holiday she would surprise us with one but it was disappointing. And more disappointed at myself for not buying some of them when they were full size. 😢

Those first three quads are GOATED for me ❤😅 the astral blitz quads … I still need to use the bottom 2 quads for u & three more … but yes on voyeuristic vixen & Venusian sunrise & I too really enjoyed passion fleur ❤❤❤ I have interstellar icon in line to use next; golden Polaris is stunning 😍 I initially wasn’t a fan of risqué rose but she’s next in line to be used too 😅 so my top 5 are; the three astral blitz quads, voyeuristic vixen & venusian sunrise ❤ but that may change once I actually use all my quads 😂 but yes I collect them & I will continue to do so ! There is something so luxe about the PMG 30mm pan size. The smaller pans sizes simply look cheap. If it was really necessary to change from 30mm to 26mm, the packaging should have been re-designed. Seeing 26mm pans in quads designed for 30mm is just sad.
I always enjoy your rankings, although Risque Rose and Fleur Fantasia are the top of my list 💖 I think all her color stories are lovely, and it's really down to personal preference (and what looks good on you) for what your favorites might be.
I agree, it was strange. The 30mm size is what made a splash back in 2017 with the first three motherships, and to see them in a quad was fantastic. It was unique to see that size from a luxury brand.
The beautiful thing is, everyone has their own taste. As for PML eyeshadow palettes, they are very difficult to rank, as all of them are stunning,…some more than others and some are neck and neck. You will have them ranked this way and in the next 6 months, that will all change. No worries! I’m worried about the quality of the next 10-pan Mothership as well🤞
I think after the reviews about the quality of this past Mothership that Pat will have no choice but to stand up to all of the others making the business decisions at PML's and stand up for her name, as it's hers that is on the brand. Too many cooks spoil the broth and in this case, plus for a number of Motherships now, this Company needs to be re-arranged to get their eyes back onto the product and to improve each them time, not just the profit margin. Pat needs to get her brand back on track and pull out something spectacular to bring the customers back. I've never heard such controversy over other brands. I didn't bother with the last two ABH Palettes, especially as one was far too dark, yet I never heard the out cry Pat receives with each Mothership, even Moonlit Seduction which was one I truly adore. I think by this time, it was too late and customers wanted something totally different to forgive her for the three Divine Roses. After coming out with yet another 'rosy-toned' Mothership so soon and with not good quality reviews, she's shot herself in the foot and she'll need something amazing to get her out of this mess.
I also enjoy watching these ranking videos, as it shows how different we all are. I've never bought a Quad myself, yet I just bought some 5-pans which were reduced significantly during her Sale. That's why I enjoyed this so much, as I'm not familiar with the Quads. Alicia is always fun to listen to as well.💖

PMG brought back Nocturnal Nirvana for a blink-and-you-missed moment in 2021. And the same for Iconic Illumination last year. I think they were both 25% off. My knees got weak when I opened the packages -- they're that beautiful.
I saw it pop up iEarlier in the year in 2023 as well. I wasn’t checking for PML quads at the time so I skipped on it. But now it’s on my wishlist. I have a feeling we will see some of these popping back in as the company realizes these faves are money makers

Interstellar Icon is hands down my favorite too. In fact my top two are the same as yours and I decluttered all the others 🫢. There's something special about the shades in Interstellar Icon even though they're not "special". I don't even wear blues but the blue in that palette is stunning and so wearable for a blue.

My favorite is Voyeuristic Vixen, the top right shade is the most special one in the PMG line, the quad is so easy to use, quality is incredible but that's just my opinion!

Happy new year! I don't know if we'll ever get the blitz formula again in quads but I am confident we will get it back in the motherships. Where does this confidence come from? No idea. It's something that defines Pat's brand too much to be completely eliminated.
I am also not entirely on board when people say that her first 3 motherships were her best and then it went down from there (colour-story wise). First of all, Midnight Sun is her best palette, imo, so I cannot stand that. You can go anywhere with Midnight Sun. Sure, it can be daily friendly, but one can be creative and the special shades really give lots of possibilities. To me, it's the mothership that doesn't put any limits. Very Pat McGrath.
While I am not a big fan of Divine Rose, I think that Divine Rose 2 is quintessential Pat McGrath. Sure, it's pink and we got used to pink being promoted by every brand. However, Pat McGrath is first and foremost an artist, probably THE artist in the industry. I remember some of her looks from when I was a kid and they featured hot pink. I am 42, and I still remember them. Not quite average, I'd say. I believe DR2 delivers a big piece of Pat's artistry.
That being said, let's collectively hope we get the special shades in her next mothership and let's hope for a forest theme palette. I enjoyed her latest palette more than most, but I am ready for something else. I am skipping on the green palettes I see from other brands thinking "I'll get Pat's next mothership" as a way to manifest it :D.
I’m hanging on as well! 😆 And yes, I discussed this very point where someone else thought that the true Golden Era started with Bronze Seduction, and continued through Divine Rose II. Now, Midnight Sun is my most favorite Pat palette of all time. I’m with you on all the points you made, and still fight for that palette. Because when it released, it didn’t get as much buzz since it came after Bronze Seduction, which sold out quickly. Her first three I think were almost like a shock wave for the beauty industry. To see those huge pans, in these large palettes was like 😳 And from a luxury brand, no less. Which is why I get pissed when people constantly want to compare her stuff to indie, and the indie shadows were not around when Pat was working the runway. Like you had said, and have witnessed, Pat had this vision FROM THE BEGINNING. And why I will treasure her motherships I-VIII.
What a great ranking and i love your explanation as to why each ranking is placed where it is. I hava all 12 as well. My least favorite is Bronze Borealis but i think its because i got a dud. Two of the shades in my quad are the exact same. I dont know what happened to my quad when it went thru QC approval. Someone wasnt paying attention. My top 3 are Venus in Fluers, Interstellar Icon, and Ritualistic Rose. I wish we could get more quads of the special baked shades. But unfortunately i dont think that will happen and for that reason ill treasure Iconic Illumination, Nocturnal Nirvana, and Ritualistic Rose. I do love the all matte palette from the Love collection to pair with these special quads ❤
We’ll see if the brand was cooking up something nice for 2024. Maybe they needed a year to get the appropriate materials. That’s what I’m speculating, anyway 😆

My favourite part of a ranking video is the reasons behind the ranking. I also sneakily steal ideas for my singles in my BYOP groupings. I’ve also been using Danessa Myricks’ Groundwork to lay down the base for accent and colour eyeshadows. I will say PML Quads are so much better than any Chanel Quad I’ve ever owned. They are so much more usable and wearable. You can always pull a one and done from at least one shadow in a PML Quad. I don’t have as many of them, mind you.
I’m still going back and forth about groundwork. Maybe I’ll finally make the plunge. And why I said that Pat is more bang for your buck when compared to Chanel back in 2019. People were going on and on about the price, and I was like DO YOU SEE HOW LARGE THESE PANS ARE!? 😆
Thank you for reminding us about the beautiful quads! With the broken shadow, just gently press it back into the pan with a clean finger. The same thing happened to me. I think it’s just because of the formula which is a bit more fragile
I agree with your ranking of Fleur Fantasia as #12. It's a pretty palette, but the color story is quite specific. I pulled it out on Monday & made myself use it because I never reach for it. I put that iridescent shade in the inner corner & used it as a highlighter. WOW! I couldn't stop staring at myself in the mirror all day long.
Right, although specific, it has its moments! I too like to sprinkle some FF on the eyes, whether it be all shades or a few. I think it shines when used for accents.
Your top 2 are my top 2, but inverted. Still, I agree with you. Both STUNNING. Glad I have them both. 😍

Ooooh I guessed your favourite at the very beginning!! I understand why you ranked it no. 1, it is an absolutely incredible palette. The way the shades are not-quite-neutrals... it's not like you look at it and think 'wow that's out there' but there are just these twists that make the shades so *different* and then the way they can be combined is so different as well. It has that real edge to it without being garish that sums up PMG at her finest for me.
We actually have the same picks for no. 1 and no. 2, although I have to say it kills me a bit not to give the top spot to no. 2 and I keep going back and forth about it like I'm ranking my own children lol. No. 2 is glorious, glorious, glorious. I did not think shades with that much red in them belonged on anybody's eyes but there is one particular shade in that palette made a convert of me.
I have to give the no. 3 and no. 4 shades to the remaining Blitz Astral palettes, also in the same order you ranked them. For me a big part of the appeal of PMG is how the shades come together and I think in the lowest ranking Blitz Astral quad there are the fewest shade combinations. Although the duochrome in the lowest ranking palette battles with the gold in the highest ranking palette for 'Best Shade In All of the Quads' for me :)
YOU UNDERSTAND!! 😆 As you said, the shades from Interstellar might not be neutral, neutral, but I think it’s because Hypnotique doesn’t have a strong base of color. It’s not in your face blue, but a wash with beautiful reflectivity. Which allows it to be paired with any shadow, and not completely overtake the look.
I too felt bad about not awarding Iconic Illumination the top spot, but there is something about Divine Dahlia 😮💨 But Blitz Bordeaux is so versatile. I think because it’s desaturated, which makes it more wearable.

It's so funny you made that comment about Blitz Bordeaux because I was literally just commenting somewhere else that one reason I think that Iconic Illumination is so versatile is that Blitz Bordeaux and Blitz Brown aren't super blingy like Astral Gold Allure and Bronze Gold 003. But you are right, it is also the shade of Blitz Bordeaux, that depth and as you say desaturated quality it has makes it much less scary than say Blitz Flame from Bronze Seduction.
Anyway it means you can make a complete look out of the quad without looking unbalanced.
Tbh if Pat were still giving us baked shades I would have no second thoughts about ranking Interstellar Icon no. 1. It's just so special. But I almost feel like I need to protest the discontinuation of the baked formula somehow ;)

You should really try to put the pink from Risqué Rose on top of the brown to see that lovely shade it creates, and then with a blending brush, put a small diffused amount of Lavendaring and it will melt your heart for sure 🥰

I just received Interstellar Icon from her vault sale. Divine Dahlia and Hypnotique were the reasons I wanted it so bad. But Golden Polaris was a real surprise that works very well with my deep skin tone. This was fun to watch!

Since Pat has gone mainstream, which she obviously has with the Pink Extravaganza of the last few years, we must acknowledge that someone has picked up the avant guard torch. The obvious heir is Isamaya with multiple finishes n interesting shades in 2 Industrial palettes

On your shattered shadow, the formula is pretty soft, and can be pressed right back into the pan and wrap a quarter in tissue and press it down and should be usable

We don't even have blitz astral shades in her Mothership palettes anymore. I highly doubt she's going to release more of those quads, unfortunately.
Pat rereleased her OG blue single shadow. Ya don't get as much shadow as the original release but that same color. Maybe just maybe she'll dip back into 2019 as well.

Ritualistic rose will be my focus palette of the year. I always forget about my quads but every look is always so beautiful.

I absolutely agree on your no 1, it’s my most loved and most worn quad by Mother Pat, and I’m pale as a ghost. So it even suits me❤ I also adore Fleur Fantasia, but for me the pale apricot color is an all over lid shade that I can sheer out as a transition😅. 5. Eternal Eden (feel the same way about that bright pink but the cooler bottom 2 shades are so beautiful I had to buy it!)

I love your video. I love your passion when it comes to great eyeshadows. 😊I really love watching your ranking videos. But…lol I just don’t see the hype with Pat McGrath eyeshadows. I bought a palette and actually returned it because I was so underwhelmed. I was thinking the formula was going to be out of this world! I was expecting it to let off rays of light when I opened the palette 😂 but it didn’t. I felt it was like all other high-end eyeshadows, and nothing special. So many companies are making those wonderful eyeshadow formulas now, with the buttery softness, the creaminess, easy blend-ability, high shine, multichromes, and duochromes, and at half the price of a Pat McGrath palette. Sure, her formula *was* great, and special when it first came out, but now other companies caught on, and can make the same quality shadows. So, I don’t know how her company is going to survive in the future, without some big improvements, or lowering her prices.
Which one did you buy? And yes, I understand that other companies are killing it with the formula. But I just don’t like the packaging. And also, I think Pat’s earlier palettes (1-8) were truly unique to the industry at the time. It wasn’t just the shades, but coming from the high fashion perspective is what I feel defined her brand. Because I said it then, the indie shadows for me are great, but when it comes to color stories is where I feel they fall short. But that’s just my opinion, and I’m clearly biased 🤷🏽♀️

For me, it's so difficult to rank my quads! I LOVE Interstellar Icon, Voyeuristic Vixen, and Nocturnal Nirvana dearly, even though NN isn't exactly the most practical of color stories especially for "everyday" type of eye looks. Out of my 4, Bronze Borealis just feels "boring" to me. It's easy for me to find those shades running all through my stash.
Right, Bronze Borealis is a reliable backup, but can be replicated. NN I love for its intensity, but depending on how they’re applied can determine the overall look. It’s nice to experiment with varying degrees of color richness to find that right delivery.
UGG! I wish I had seen this video last week when Pat McGrath’s whole website was on sale. I had your number one quad in my cart and decided against it because I thought Divine Dahlia was a plain foiled Brown that I already have. Now not only is the sale over, but the price has gone up. I’m not paying $62 for a quad!

I picked up Deep Space Divinity during recent vault opening and guess what. It arrived a big old mess. I was ready to cry but wrote the company for a replacement but it was already sold out so they refunded me. I’m struggling t.with what to do but seeing that you still have yours in this state maybe I can try to doctor mine and save some of the shadow

I am checking with Faces By Gina about how to best repress the broken shadow. I did do some light dusting with a fluffy brush to remove some of the shadow that had gotten into the other shades and it worked quite well however every time I reopen the palette I still find bits of stray shadow sparkles just popping up 😂😂

Right, and one of the reasons why her brand was unique. For a luxury brand to release these types of finishes was unheard of a the time.
I been losing hope that she will bring the Astro blitz quads. I really thought this holiday she would surprise us with one but it was disappointing. And more disappointed at myself for not buying some of them when they were full size. 😢
I was hoping as well, but it looks like the brand is pushing quints for the holidays 😮💨 Maybe she’ll surprise us this year 🤷🏽♀️

I'm afraid we're close to a ship wreck from Pat's brand, like, sometimes I think that the brand can close, because it's lost its magic, it's nor relevant like before and that's so sad. Also an idea: do a top 10 with your ranking of best eyeshadow shades, like no matter the palette...

@@irum121 oh yes, its definitely a good deal - since the original price is 76 dollars I believe. Previous days there was a sale, and there was even a 30% discount on the 40 dollars.
But if it's your first dabble into the brand, I would recommend a mothership. What kind of tones do you like? Peachy, pink, brown?

I ordered Interstellar Icon thanks to you and WOW it is so worth it! I thought it would be similar to other shades but its incredible! Sadly Hypnotique came shattered and lost 1/3 of the eyeshadow 🥲
So I’m wearing my beloved nocturnal nirvana in my pic on here 😊 to date it’s the most stunning look I’ve EVER created !! EVER !!!! 🤣❤️💃🏻🫶🏼😭🥰 i have ALL the quads & shamefully I pulled them out; a little while ago; as I had a few untouched 😩 I started using them one by one & man I love them ! Those first three quads are GOATED for me ❤😅 the astral blitz quads … I still need to use the bottom 2 quads for u & three more … but yes on voyeuristic vixen & Venusian sunrise & I too really enjoyed passion fleur ❤❤❤ I have interstellar icon in line to use next; golden Polaris is stunning 😍 I initially wasn’t a fan of risqué rose but she’s next in line to be used too 😅 so my top 5 are; the three astral blitz quads, voyeuristic vixen & venusian sunrise ❤ but that may change once I actually use all my quads 😂 but yes I collect them & I will continue to do so ! My deep space divinity arrived broken too 😢 but I repressed dawn fantasia & they sent me a new one ❤ oh & I just repress PMG shadows; no alcohol needed ! I use a small plastic stopper thing & it’s perfect !
I’ll get to repressing my shadows as well! I need to get into Risqué rose, because I feel like I’m missing out on some killer combinations.
