My thoughts exactly.. I wasn't about to "fight" for a palette. If I got it, I got it. If I didn't, I didn't. PML got to do better with customer service and all these releases. PML and ABH are turning me off with multiply releases.
At least ABH has the product in stock.
She does great with her launches. They forgot my decadence kit and Pat herself responded to me and I had it in two days

Mel, I think you’re so real and thank you for taking the side of the consumer. I AGREE whole heartedly on your thoughts, and frankly I’m not excited about her palette launches due to the repeat shades/tones in addition to the customer service.
Customer service is VERY important and makes or breaks sales. She should have a team bending over backwards for all the mess-ups recently. Plus I don’t like when a brand makes the customer jump through hoops to get their product.
I also WISH she would switch up the shades and when you mentioned too many reds, golds etc I have thought the same thing for awhile now. Get creative Pat! I’m a little over it.
Thanks for sharing Mel. I own most of her palettes except the Star Wars collection because I was one of those that experienced issues and was not able to get any of the Star Wars collection. I am over Pat at the moment and will be passing on purchasing this palette and future releases which is a shame because her shadows are amazing. Hugs XOXO

Leave it to you to do the definitive review on this palette. I’m so glad that I skipped the Star Wars launch. After Divine Rose I was really annoyed with the way the company does business. I have all of her large palettes and all of the 6 pan ones until Star Wars. But the way she handled the Divine Rose launch was an insult to my intelligence. It was also a massive exercise in frustration. Sounds like the Star Wars release wasn’t any better. I’m done with brands that pull that stuff. So Pat is going to have to put out something truly extraordinary to get any more of my hard won dollars. And clean up her act.

I love the packaging on this palette but I had to pass because the colors don’t speak to me and as you’ve said she has done these colors before and most of us have them. I was sour on her brand after the foundation launch but I am back on the train again after a couple of other orders went through fine.
I definitely want her to get it together though because I love her and her product and it hurts to see people trashing it even though I absolutely understand why. I did order the two mini gloss sets and I am in love. I believe one color in each set is new and they are so pigmented and gorgeous and they smell amazing. Only Pat could get me to pick up gloss again.
I love the packaging but I’ve never liked her formula so I’m not sure what I’m going to do.
Totally agree with you. Pat McGrath is my favorite and I always want to see her and her company do well. I actually love her foundation - it's become my go-to. I wanted that Decadence palette really badly (didn't get into high-end makeup until it was already gone) and despite signing up for early access (and having bought so many of her other palettes), I never got the email with the code at all. The Golden Opulence packaging is stunning but those shades bore me so I'm gonna pass.
I’m over this game she is playing intentionally or not. I won’t be getting bothered with any “new” releases from her anymore. Love you Mel.
I had the exact same experience with Pat McGrath and Star Wars that you did. I got both mini palettes but failed to get the big one and I'm upset about it. In 2020, I don't want to have to beg to give a company my money. If they don't want it, I don't want to have to try that hard again to give it to them. I do love mother Pat though, so I did pick up the golden opulence. I'm just never going to go through that Star Wars decadence BS again.
Same as me, I tried & failed on the big palette. It’s the only one I don’t have in my collection & I am a huge Star Wars fan!!! So disappointed by that launch
Same here😔 I missed on the star wars collection I really wanted the big palette but I was unable to purchased it, it was sold out right away, I was so upset about it because I really really wanted it, and I was unable to purchase the other 2 smaller palette as well so very confused about it and very disappointed🙄😔
they did treat me very bad in her FB group, as if i was the only one complaining about the bad launches

Mel I completely agree with everything you said. To change the release time left a lot of real fans without the a chance to get the palette. I am so disappointed with that release and I dm the company and never heard anything back. Btw I love you videos!
Yea I think a lot of people have had enough with Pat McGrath and a having a little break and I don’t blame you or them!! So totally understand!!! Hopefully by more people speaking up it will only get better cause she has one of the best shadows on the market!!! 💖
OMG. So Beautiful. Can’t believe I found you. I am a black woman but I have narrow/oval/long facial bone structure. I NEVER see UA-cam MUAs with my face shape. I am much older but it’s inspiring to finally see someone that doesn’t have the typical round or heard shaped face.
I was so upset over all the broken pallets and not getting them replaced BUTTTTT Pat is AMAZING and spoke to me HERSELF for a HOUR! Had her assistant Michelle replace them and over night them to me! I LOVEEEEEE PAT MCGRATH even more now!!!💜💜💜💜💜
Mel, It makes me feel a bit better that I’m not alone with with my feelings about Mother Pat. I have been a huge fan for a while now and own almost all her palettes....with the exception of Decadence. I had contacted customer service a few times about the Star Wars and the rerelease of Decadence. I had signed up for the presale, etc and didn’t receive any emails and then because I’m not on Instagram every day, I missed out on the updates and “vip code”. I did receive my golden opulence palette, but I certainly paused before purchasing. It’s sad when a customer spends a ton on completing their collection and then can’t even get an email back from them.
Kara Howard that’s how I feel , pat was the o my eyeshadow I was purchasing and then this nonsense and she still hasn’t written me back . I’m pissed . She can’t be selective about who she treats well .
Chandie Kent I couldn’t agree with you more! Yeah, I still haven’t heard a peep from them either...sucks when you and I both know just how much money we have spent on her products. Customer Service is just as important to me as a good product, so yeah, I am going to be stepping back just a little. I feel disrespected and like she doesn’t value me as a customer when you can’t even get a response to an email. Very sad.
Gorgeous i also picked this palette up. Gorgeous Gorgeous palette. So happy you got your hands on the decadence palette i also was lucky to get my hands on this palette, it is beautiful. However my space duo palette arrived completely shattered and luckily pat team reached out and resent my order with proof of course. So i guess she does have backups in case stuff happens.

She hit the jackpot with stellar releases in the early days. Her innovation was exceptional and now....nothing attracts me.
So respect you for being honest about this. I love that you keep your subscribers informed about things like customer service and other issues. It matters. It is great to have good formulas and packaging but if getting the palette is a hassle I for one would like to know. Also, the minute you opened it I thought 'Gee, that looks just like the last palette. And it also resembles the shades in the Blitz Astral quads.
Preach! I agree with what you said on her colors and the packaging. I’m so ready for her to move into new color stories. The one thing I really love about this palette is the lighter matte.
I have been enjoying Pat’s palette through your videos. Speaking of over her palettes, I have been over it after first time bought one, and yet still like watching people put on her beautiful eyeshadows. :)
I wanted to give you an update - received this on time and I am very pleased with my purchase. The packaging is fabulous - it’s something to see in person. The shadows performed well, as you’d expect from a Mothership palette. It does bring me joy. I noticed that the shade, Moon Phase reminds me of an old MAC favorite, Expensive Pink. I swatches them side by side and it may not be a dupe but they could be cousins. Really glad I got this.
I have found that I’ve also lost a little excitement over the e brand. I don’t have the time to struggle to get products 😂

You’re so lovely inside and out, and this is a particularly beautiful look on you! I’ve got it on today as I received it yesterday.
Yeah, that whole thing was a fiasco and the brand has been around long enough to work out any growing pains. Some of us don’t use IG, and as you said, posting it just to her stories was such bad form. That and ignoring so many customers that were asking for help and/or expressing concerns. I have to say that all the years as a makeup lover and one time makeup artist, I really admired her. Now, this is one of the situations when someone shows something of themselves and it’s so disappointing.
I did buy the Golden Opulence palette because I don’t have many of her palettes, but this situation has me way less interested.
Thank you so much Mel for sharing your honest review of the palette and your feelings about these launches. Your comments are right on the money. I just got this palette yesterday and it’s beautiful. I don’t have a lot of other palettes so these colors are unique to me and there were no problems ordering it. For future releases I’m going to take on a case by case bases. If I already have similar colors or if it’s too hard to get, then oh well. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Thank you for making this video and speaking honestly Mel. I made my first PML purchase about two years ago, sometime after the Mothership V was restocked after its initial sell out. I have to admit that I was kind of underwhelmed by the regular shades - they worked fine and all (and I’ve since learned the best brushes for them), but I wasn’t totally floored. I did however adore the special formulas and picked up all the Blitz Astral quads when they released. After watching so many people discussing how PML’s formula was top notch, as well as the craze around “collecting” her products, I started picking up all the mothership minis. The FOMO culture around her brand really got to me and I bought palettes based on them being limited edition but still in stock in Canada (like the 2018 holiday palettes). I know that no one forced me into buying these products and “collecting” them, but the culture and hype around made me feel like it was special to have them all and my collector tendencies got the best of me. Then the Divine Rose dropped, and I was really put out by the sh!tshow around it. I ordered platinum bronze during Black Friday and waited nearly a month to get it. My friend made her first PML order during Cyber Monday, and had her order cancelled, which was a terrible first impression for her and I felt kind of bad for recommending PML to her in the first place. The Star Wars insanity was the final straw. I don’t think it’s fair that “Pat” or whoever is answering her DMs offered palettes to some customers but not to others, I don’t think it’s right that the palette was listed as sold out while this happened, and I think it’s terrible service to be cancelling people’s orders. I feel like the rose coloured glasses are finally off again and I can see clearly. This palette is no different than most of her releases. I easily duped it within my Natasha Denona eyeshadow collection (I made myself a custom palette).
I would LOVE for you to put together dupe palettes for future PML releases. Instead of reviewing the palette you could show us what shadows you pulled and create looks with those instead. And if you decide in the future to buy from PML again, it’d be super awesome if you could do one eye with the new palette and then dupe it on the other eye for those of us that stopped drinking the kool aid on this brand/have enough of her palettes/are interested in supporting another brand like Sydney Grace but like PML’s colour stories.

Thank you for your honesty. While I absolutely recognize we all should feel inspired by make-up purchases, when looking at this palette individually a Lunar New Year limited edition and it has a color story that is pretty spot on. Very dupable but the fact that they created all new shades instead repeats and put it in red packaging is far more thoughtful than some of the other brands releasing things just to release them.
Hi Mel! I did buy this palette and think it’s beautiful. I only own the Mothership VI & VII, Dark Galaxy and two of the Blitz quads so I don’t have a vast collection of her colors already. While I love the shades and the outer packaging, the engineering of the actual palette box is an epic fail. Fighting to keep that thing open is ridiculous! How that made the final cut, I have no idea. I did get a super exciting brush yesterday though! I got the Rephr P22 Bronzing brush and I am so in love with it! Apparently I got the very last one. I’ve never had such an amazing blend of bronzer than with this brush! ❤️ Thank you for the video, loved your look and agree with you about the whole Mother ordeal. 💕

Regarding the Star Wars pallet, I received the confirmation once, but it was cancelled two hours later. I was confused and sent email to customer care. Finally, they sent me the private link then I got it. I was so disappointed then I’m happy now. Actually, I’m tired of buying her products. But I look at her pallets. It’s stunning. I have mixed feeling and I do not want to be involved such a exhausting shopping any more😖
I 100% agree with you!!! It’s very sad that a creator of beautiful eye shadows acted very poorly and not taking ownership of all the problems that occurred pertaining her Star Wars creation. After all, it is her company and as a result she must have known what happened. Yet, she didn’t respond to her consumers/customers with any sort of an apology; that lack of action seems very unprofessional and sad. Consumers should be respected as they are paying a lot of money for her product. I was very disappointed to the way she handled her company and as a result I decided not purchase any os her recent shadows. I really loved the colors in this pallet too. You are a beautiful and wonderful lady. I really enjoy watching your channel.
I feel exact same way. I was lucky enough to order the Star Wars pan on the day was launched so I waited and waited for it to come. And when UPS dropped off the box there is no pallet in there. I ordered the decadence kit (with the decadence palette and one lip balm) and R2-D2 lip balm, and the only thing that arrived at my house In the box was the single lip balm. Unf**king believable. I love Pat McGrath immensely but these last few make up launches have been a nightmare. I’m just hoping I get my order at this point. Great review by the way, I’m glad you’re consistent Mel! 👏🏻❤️

They sent out emails to people who ordered the kit saying they sent the gold astral one by mistake and to keep as gift and the flesh 3 that should of been sent will be shipped out this week x

I know how you feel. I get very excited when a new palette is launched then I lose the excitement when I can’t get it for one reason or another. Part of owning a expensive Pat McGrath palette is the experience but it is fading. I have lost the excitement and will not make excuses to buy palettes if the shades are too similar to ones I already have, or ones that are repeats or a Mothership without the “special formulas”. Like most Pat fans, I was so eager to collect all the palettes to the point I got my husband involved. My husband was kind enough to gift me a starter collection for Christmas containing four mothership palettes and three other smaller ones and he also encouraged me to buy the Star Wars collection because of the most sought after Decadence palette. Well, needless to say, it’s been a mess trying to complete my collection. I’m less anxious now to not able to complete my Pat collection because I’m disappointed with the reasons you mentioned at the end of your video. Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to say hi to couple of UA-camrs who got me started on this Pat craze - hi Morgan Turner, your tutorials are great and the looks you create are stunning. Hi kinkysweat you are so funny and become so excited when you talk about Mother Pat I laugh so hard that my stomach hurts). Thank you Mel Thompson for all your honesty and thorough reviews.
All I have to say is that I absolutely love PM and her palettes. My wife had to reach out just once to ensure that I got my Star Wars palettes before Christmas and I'm happy to say that I did with no problems. I also got the LE Decadence and the new Golden Opulence without any issues and they actually arrived before the time that they said they would. So I have no issues with Mother Pat however the only thing I could complain about is all the warm colors in the palettes as of lately. Pat if your reading this.....I want and need BOLD colors!

I’ve only ever bought Devine Rose because I knew those colors I would wear on a daily basis. I’m very happy with it and I know I got it out of pure luck. I don’t feel the need to buy any more unless she puts together more colors like that in a quad. I personally just like smaller packaging for travel and convenience.
BTW, I’m really enjoying your lip liner collaboration! That’s how you do a collaboration! Congratulations on that! I hope you do more.

That is how I felt with Devine Rose. I was depressed for a week. I couldn’t get the Rose from give me glow it was always sold sold out.
And I have just started collecting Pat palette’s. Or trying too. Anyhoo.
So I was thrilled when I got the e-mail and I was able to get the Gold Star Wars. But it is not from the Stress and getting so upset. Hubby and I are on retirement. So when i save up the money I sure want to be able to get her. Palette’s no I never be able to wear them like you but I can wear a few off the looks that I have seen kinkyswear do. But there not many off your looks I could do anyhoo. But I love to watch you do the color tones. Those are my favorites also.
But if she doesn’t come back with Divine Rose. I done. I can’t deal with the stress. Having Lupus is enough. Love the look you wore today gorgeous as always. Ern 💛
I watched this as I picked up this palette on sale, my very first Pat purchase! And only $68 AUS instead of $115, and free shipping couldn't say no to that. I finally get to try this out, sooooo many people rave about the formula. I really hope it's great.
I believe PM will try and make it right this year. They still have their 25% off coupon code activated for the site. Hopefully that’s not all PML thinks it has to do because there’s a lot of feedback from the last few months to consider.
Hi Mel, thanks for your video on this palette. I have 3 large PMG palettes and 2 six-pan palettes. I purchased Golden Opulence when I saw it pop up on Selfridges' website. I feel it is different enough from what I have and am pleased with the palette so far. I had mixed feelings about buying it, especially after waiting weeks for a Cyber Monday order to ship that ended up being fully cancelled. I was beyond annoyed as I spent Christmas out of country and didn't want the order delivered while I was away. I must have refresed the order page a thousand times. Then Decadence sold out before I could buy one, and I was done with PMG. I've decided to stop the futile effort of attempting to buy high demand LE products only for them to be gone in seconds. I have no regrets if I can't buy a product; I have too much as it is. Like you, I've decided to pause on PMG. I"m buying instead from brands whose approach to the customer is worthy of my money.
I'm with you! I swear if her next palette has gold or bronze I'm gonna lose it. And can we talk about that black plastic packing stuff! The process I have to go through to open the box is hysterical. I feel like I'm singlehandedly destroying the environment. That being said I still love her and want to be blown away by future releases - fingers crossed!!
Such a stunning look and I’m happy you did eventually manage to get the Star Wars palette. I missed the Selfridges release of the Star Wars collection. I didn’t want to pay custom duties when there would be a UK release so I didn’t order
on the Pat McGrath website and then nothing happened on the Selfridges website, so I wasn’t able to get the palettes I wanted. The eyeshadows I did get from Pat McGrath all have issues. My Mothership VI was really tightly pressed, so I couldn’t get any color payoff on my brush. My palette works now, but it doesn’t look very nice anymore because it took some effort to get to the working part of my shadows. I also bought two quads and while the shadows are all right both of the palettes have scratched packaging. For such a high price undamaged sleek black packaging shouldn’t be too much to ask. I don’t have a channel, so I’ll manage, but I hope the brand will impress me more in 2020.
Good Morning Mel 🌞! I think your sentiments regarding the Pat Mcgrath line is becoming a very common thought shared amongst many of her fan base. I mean look at the comments below. People aren’t seeing any thing special in the latest palette. They are reverting back to the opinion that these aren’t worth the price. She has damage control she needs to address and really work in 2020 to resolve a)Customer service issues have been awful for too many. b) Her website and all the order placement problems. Clearly that has been an extreme cluster f* for so many over the past few months. c) The VIP program should honestly be utilized it to its optimal use. Don’t drop a palette on social media. It is VIP’s who should have first access, like the rouge program on Sephora. These are just a few things. But, honestly, if she’d just start here. 🤷🏼♀️ She makes incredible products. They may not be for everyone or at everyone’s price point. But, undeniably these products are fashion forward. If you look her up, she is on the Forbes list of wealthiest business women. Her business has grown exponentially over these past few years. She is far too important within her brand, that she has let these issues continue to surmount. She needs to step up and resolve this mess. Being as luxurious as her brand is, she needs to get it back on point to where it really IS an Opulent experience. I LOVE her shadows! PERIOD. This palette, I am glad to have in my collection. The shadows are BEAUTIFUL! But, is it worth going through hassle after hassle, as people are purchasing stacks of palettes only to resell on Ebay at highly marked up prices due to hype? No. Hopefully, at some point, McGrath will see she has lost touch with her fan base and she will step up and make resolve! Hopefully that time will be in 2020! As always, I enjoy your video! I did not have any problems purchasing the Divine Rose palette but the Star Wars collection was a nightmare. Mother needs to clean house and hire a staff that knows what they are doing! I was not going to purchase Golden Opulence but I finally caved when I saw that it was still available days after the launch. Going forward I will be rethinking what if anything I purchase from PML. May the Force be with her!!!

So funny that your feelings are exactly the same as mine. (I had gotten jacked on the Decadence palette-and fully participated in that nonsense.) And I also noticed that there were still some of the current one left in stock and was thinking the very same thing. Something tells me sales were down. Nevertheless, I bought it and decided this would be it for the time being. After that, I will not be entertaining the notion of stalking IG, etc. to get anything else. If I can’t order it with a normal amount of effort, someone else will get those dollars. Period. I’m torn. I did pick up Golden Opulence but now that I have it, I feel so meh. It was so much to get Divine Rose and the Star Wars collection that I now feel exhausted with the brand. I love her formula but I don’t know man. I look back now and realize that I was chasing her down and practically begging her to take MY money. Something has to give. 😐
I feel the same way. 2 of my large palettes that I ordered from her came to me broken. I had to tape the outside boxes back together. Then the fancy packaging stuff she puts in the boxes I hate. it sticks to everything and it seems so wasteful. I don't like when brands release something but only so much and then a week or two later they release it again. they created demand and so much hype to sell more. I think that's tacky and expect more from a luxury high end brand. I didn't get the Star Wars collection

Just giving them a break to get it together, I'm no longer angry, just ready to start enjoying makeup. And ordering from PM has NOT BEEN FUN.. lol. I love makeup because it makes me happy, not miserable 🤷♀️ So, I'm giving her a very loving break to get it together and spend all that money they've made in 2019 to adding more customer service (can you imagine what those poor people at customer service go through daily reading those nasty emails, it's awful, and it's NOT their fault🤦♀️) And spending more money on better shipping dept. I loved your video and your look as always ! I feel so bad because I had no problem getting the decadence palette. I don’t know if I just missed the rush of online people by a couple of minutes but I checked out in record time and it delivered in less than a week. I felt so bad reading the comments of people who did have a hard time getting the palette. I did order the opulence and it came 4 days later. I ordered the lip gloss trios too and there’s a new formula in them that’s really nice. Just a side note. Lol.
I do agree and I have said this in past videos that I wish she would come out with more colors and shades rather than the pinks and reds and warm like you said. We will have to wait and see. Great video !!

Mel, I agree with you that it doesn’t make sense that there are palettes to fulfill the orders of the people who have missed out the first time. She should re-release the Decadence palette again to make all her customers happy and to redeem herself. Limited edition releases are not customer-friendly especially if you don’t make enough palettes for the early access run. I’d have at least expected to have two batches, one for the early access release and then the other one for the regular timed release

Omg. I was so frustrated with the Star Wars launch. I signed up for early access (never received the code), set and alarm so I could take my break as close to launch/ had a coworker who was going to cover me so I could pick this up ( I'm an Rn so this took a little bribery 😉) and even with all of that i wasn't able to pick up the palette. I didn't even know they launched it a second time 🤦♀️. Super frustrating. I really wanted to try something from Pat McGrath in 2019. I ended up picking up the Bronze Seduction palette from Sephora. I'm doing a no buy year for 2020. So it doesn't look like I will be getting my hands on this one. But 🤞 the Bronze Seduction lives up to the hype. I love your channel. You're the reason I finally splurged on picking up anything from such a luxe brand. ❤
I know it is getting bad that I don't want this palette. I have been collecting her palettes for a while. After the star wars I just quit. I didn't want divine rose just for one color and don't want this just for one color. So pat is not getting my struggle money unless she wows me again. Thank you for sharing as always mel!!😊
I appreciate your candor regarding your issues with Pat! I feel the exact same way - and its inexcusable. I believe they are a billion dollar brand now. I mean, they are happy to take peoples money, and literally not reply or are shady about releases. As you said, CS means something and they are not getting it. So many people had their orders cancelled or not fulfilled. Mine was shipped w/o product. Then the cyber monday sale took at least 3 wks to ship. I live 1 state over. Also agree, same ole same ole - too many brands lean so warm - same colors. Including the new Denona 'all cool palette', which is not. I have enough, and will not be fooled into new releases any longer unless it is special AF.

1 million % agree with you. Her palettes are very very repetitive now. So many shades being re-promoted, and her palettes are so expensive to be buying the same shades over and over again. The same exact gold shade that is in the decadence palette has been placed in 3 other palettes, so the same exact shade is in 4 of her palettes. Not cool. Not cool at all. Not counting how many other similar golds, browns and reds have been released. I feel let down by that.
Then, you add that the latest releases have been poorly managed. We have to beg her to buy her products (but that is on us)
3erd, if you have not noticed you can go back to some of her older palettes and the quality of some of the shadows have really deteriorated. I think is one of the finishes is not aging well.
I bought this palette, and when I used it, I felt I can dupe this really easily with less expensive palettes for the color story is not original at all. I can't lie, I was very disappointed. I will be taking a break from Pat. Stop the FOMO, chill, and enjoy the makeup I have already.

I ordered the divine rose palette and after 3 weeks got sent a email saying it’s out of stock... omg I was so upset... that is the one palette I really really wanted.. ok then I ordered the Star Wars red palette.. it took almost a month to get to me... after countless emails and not getting any response I was extremely disappointed and upset.. so this latest palette... I'm one who hasn't gotten into purchasing all of Pat's eyeshadow palettes, so my first eyeshadow purchase was the Ritualistic Rose Blitz Astral Quad! I did order the Golden Opulence palette, along with the bronze mini lip gloss trio, as I think the quad will pair well with it! I'm still hoping that she brings back the Divine Rose palette!
OOOH Girl! You put Pat McGrath on blast! LOL Now, why da hell don't beauty companies have YOU do a Collection! You can come up with the shades, combos & themes that are different---from laid-back quiet palettes to young & dynamic. Mel T, YOU can design cool, slick sophisticated packaging in travel friendly pans of 4. Personally, I've never needed a good palette to have more than 12 decent-sized pans. I would LOVE to see what you can do! :))
Selfidges Manchester have enough of these pallets. When I went in on the 7th Jan 2020. Also they have the smaller star wars pallets which is sold out on selfidges website. They are still waiting on the decadence star wars pallet which hasn't even turned up in the store yet! They are taking names and numbers of customers who would like the pallet.
They said they will call up and let you know once it's arrived. You can even order over the phone and have it delivered anywhere in UK.
I'm really sceptical that this will happen but still worth a shot if anyone's interested.
This was a great/honest review. The minute I saw the palette, I thought " beautiful as always, but I can't". I was able to buy the Rose palette & Decadence 4 w/o any issues luckily & for that reason, I couldn't justify the latest one - I had woken up 10 mins to launch time for both palettes, placed my orders with the codes and got through (both times I ordered, I was in/out within 10-15 mins tops). I'm sorry that you & so many had issues & you have a valid point - it does leave a bad taste in the mouth so to speak.
Customer service is king & will always determine if someone comes back or not, regardless of issues etc.
Granted, at this level, there should be no issues, but this is a learning curve & I hope the company gets better with facilitating high-demand launches through this

It's a nice palette, I wore a similar look today, it's very easy and of course wears well all day. I've missed out on the last 4 limited edition palettes, I'm ok with that, a few companies have been overhyping and under delivering recently. I guess I'm saving some cash.
Obsessed with your nails Mel! After the bad experience with her foundation launch I quit buying from her website. I will buy from Sephora. And if they dont have it, I dont need it.
I was somehow able to get Divine Rose, both Star Wars mini motherships, and the Star Wars decadence palette, but it was not easy. DR was fine, I had signed up for early access and bought it right away. My husband bought me the two mini SW palettes, but the tracking code he was sent didn’t work. He reached out to customer service 3 different times and never heard anything back. The day before Christmas he was panicking because he had bought them the day they came out, but he couldn’t tell where they were, or if they were even coming at all. The Friday after Christmas the palettes just showed up on the door step. A couple of days later customer service FINALLY got back to my husband and said they should have been delivered and asked him to confirm. It was such a joke, especially compared to the amazing service I’ve gotten from them in the past. The day after Christmas I woke up at 4:50am PST to wait for my early access email for the Star Wars decadence palette. It didn’t come until 5:11am, so I was panicking. I kept checking her IG and everybody was saying the same thing in the comments. The site wasn’t prepared to handle to volume of traffic, so it kept freezing and not loading on me. I finally was able to add it to my cart and check out, but holy shit, was it an emotional roller coaster. I didn’t bother setting an alarm for the golden opulence palette because I didn’t see anything special about it. The colors look so identical to so many other of her colors (as your swatches showed). The day it launched I went to her site to see if it had sold out, but it was still in stock. I have every single other palette from her, so my need to collect them all took over and I ended up purchasing it (it should arrive tomorrow). I can’t stress how over her brand I’m getting, and I really don’t want to be because I’ve invested literally thousands of dollars in my PML collection. I love her whole story and (what used to be) originality of her brand, but I just feel like she’s losing it. Too much has been released too quickly, the customer service is a freaking joke, and I am so, so, SO SICK of these limited releases!! I really hope she can take some time to come up with something new, and I really hope they get the customer service back.

One of my make-up dreams was to acquire some of Pat McGrath's palettes, and I was finally able to make the dream come true during the last week of December 2019, and this first week of January, 2020. I live in France and her products are now sold here in Sephora. I am the collector's type, but even though I got some extra money at the end of the year, I already knew I won't be able to buy all things Pat McGrath, it's just too expensive for me. Fortunately for me, all the products I had my eyes on and selected were available from Sephora France, and as I am lucky enough to live near Paris, I was able to buy all the items from the flagship stores directly, so I didn't have to wait for any delivery.
I've heard of the recent debacles regarding launches, orders and shipping from her website, and I completely understand that people are disappointed. I mean, it's a luxurious brand, you pay a certain price for the products and it's normal that in return the customer expects a flawless experience regarding launches and customer service! For now, I definitely think I will watch things from afar, and wait for new Pat McGrath products to drop at Sephora France, if they do; if they don't, then it will take having me falling really in love with a product to get me to order from her website, because I just feel like it's not right to pay so much for such a mess (and I guess I'm also growing tired of launches that somehow imply "fighting" to buy products).

Ohh I cant tell you how bad I wanted those 3 Star Wars palettes...Mainly to put it on my LE collectors shelf....I only have 4 up on it, because it has to mean something to me heart and soul...and those dang Star Wars palettes...HMM Im soooooo cant put into words angry about this whole situation with the Star War release...ERRG it boils my bones for sure. I got Divine Rose from the Pat McGrath website with no problem (I didn't scramble to get it from Selfridges first, because I figured there was no way it wasn't going to eventually be available on her site). I wasn't interested in the Star Wars roll out. I think this Lunar New Year palette is gorgeous but I can probably emulate it with colors I have in other palettes. So sorry you had a frustrating experience 💕💕💕

I'm probably the only Pat McGrath fan that wasnt annoyed with her recent releases 😂 I'm one of those people that was helped by Pat with all the recent releases via IG (Divine Rose, Star Wars, and Decadence). She always replies during the release and helps right away. As soon as I DM her, I get an immediate response. Regarding the Lunar New Year release, I'm super excited about it. Im here for the asian references 👌 (Im half Chinese) i agree that it is basic Pat color story. However, it is geared toward the Asian market and those colors will sale 🤑

I feel the same about PMG! I was too late for the Star Wars collection but was not too disappointed because of the repeat shades. I will not get the Golden Opulence palette because I am a little angry with everything going on and the palette is too similar to all my other PMG palettes for my taste.
I was not able to get the Star Wars decadence so I too am now sour a little on the brand and just makeup in general. I don’t ever want to go through that again. Felt like such a fool getting so worked up over makeup! I didn’t get this one because I too feel I have shades like this already. If she comes out with one with more unique shades that speak to me I might buy in the future. For now I’m just enjoying the palettes I do have.

Although I was burned by the whole Star Wars collection, I still ordered Golden Opulence and it was a very easy process this time around. Yeah, I still have a little bit of bitterness but I can't hate on Pat and I don't own every Mothership Palette so this was an easy yes from me. I'm supposed to receive mine tomorrow (fingers crossed).

Disenchanted would be the word I use. She throws up major sales now on stuff that flew with in 24 hours prior but she isn’t selling out because people are done with this game & quite honestly if you have been a mua for as long as I have if I cant mimic the color I should not be called an artist! Yes, the quality is very nice! I have no plans to ban Ms.Pat (like a lot of people have) there’s still people out there that have to have the whole set & will go to great lengths (some unethical) just to say they have them, but haven’t a clue how to do makeup! And, Pat isn’t sitting in the customer service office🤣! She didn’t do anything personal for some random clients! It’s 2020 Fashion week’s season! Trust me there’s no time to do personal favors or personal discussion with the marketing team!
I completely agree with you, Mel. By the grace of God, my sister and I were able to get a Decadence palette. However, we ordered lipsticks during the sale and it was a hot ass mess! I love Pat, but I'm not purchasing anything else until she gets her company and customer service under control.
