Woman: babe do you have protection?
Guy: i got a old soviet rebreather, lemme just get it
Woman: ...
"I've not got that unit on so I can't suffocate."
Proceeds to suffocate because he hasn't got the unit on.

Welcome to Chernobyl, I'll be your guide.
I’ve been searching for a certain metal can labeled *”CCCP“* have you seen it?
Yes yes umm have you seen any radioactive chickens I need to make a meal
You made my year by flopping around with that rebreather for thirty seconds
Watching you trying to get that rebreather mask on was unexpectedly hilarious
Just right in time for the coronavirus outbreak by yt’s recommendation system
Yeah I made the video years ago but UA-cam is recommending it due to Corona
*Inhales* BOI
Lmao in school i had an auto tech class and when we worked with foreign brakes that could potentially expose us to asbestos, all our teacher gave us were those masks you showed in the beginning and they didn't even have the bendy metal bit. Gotta love the american school system.
my house that i have lived in since a kid had asbestos, i didnt wear anything when they removed it and it went everywhere. am i at any risk?
Official Spencer10000 in 15 years the symptoms will start to show, if you ingested it you are in real danger, like I said if it was ingested, symptoms will show in approximately 15 years, when symptoms show it's too late
Official Spencer10000 only time tell you know...with asbedtod you can have a cancer many many year after
This is one of those videos where you go, "why am I watching this"
Then did you come to the conclusion of why you decided to watch it?
Maybe you live in Syria
I thought this would teach you the best mask for in case of a chemical attack or
Another great video mate. My stuff also arrived , the unplugged 30 years old Filter still protects from particles and the the M65 fits me very well.
Yeah particulate filters don't really expire, eventually they might crumble to dust but it's essentially just a paper/cotton filter.
Im 14 and gettting ready to work a full time job in collision repair and this video is super helpful in teaching me about masks and their effectiveness, Thanks.
Rebreather units don't explode when the touch water. Water has to get into the unit.
Somebody did, twice, and it's so fucking stupid. Takes one slip up and you die a horrible death.
Teacher: good morning class this our new student he is from china
All the class :
Getting some Metro vibes with the 3rd mask
I can't remember if the Israeli M15 gas mask was in Metro, it was in some of the Call of Pripyat cover arts.
Changes clothes several times has a gas mask on
"Arytom?"
Remember from metro last light
The metro gas mask has no goggles, just a full glass thing across the eyrs

There was a dude in my high school who walked around in a trench coat with a gas mask at his hip.
This video destroyed almost all of the comments that have been written before years.
This is how survival mode works, bravo
dude that last thing that was tight, looks like it was aggressively eating your face XD
Yeah it's designed for use underwater or in super hazardous environments, didn't help air wasn't getting in and it was creating a vacuum on my face.
I had a surplus russian gas mask a few years ago, unlike western ones that have straps that tighten the seal, russia decided to go the easy route and make it like a rubber glove.
it's painful to put it on if you have anything other than short hair but because of how tight it is you can easily do a seal test immediately.
Kalezian It gets even worse if you decide to do Halloween with the Soviet gasmask as they get hot FAST
If I was going to build a radiation suit or gas mask I would have it look just like Darth Vader.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a working gas mask design like that.
Late reply but Darth Vader’s suit was intentionally meant to be painful and not that great, only a basic life support system. Make something stronger.
UA-cam: Lets recommend this during the Coronavirus outbreak
does your parents or wife or whatever know about your quite extensive collection of gas masks? :P
Hello I am David from Microsoft and I'm calling to tell you your computer has a virus.
Now open thee... windows tab and... uh... give me your credit card number and we will get this fixed right away.
Weaponsandstuff93 Next make sure to uhhhhhh, give me your social security number, email and password to it, and uhh also send me your full name, plus like your addres and zip code, and dont forget to send me a picture of your drivers license. Now lemme check if there a uhhhhhhhhh virus or somethin
Thank you for your video. I'm from Hong Kong. People here are protesting for freedom and democracy. But police use tear gas at us, at the beginning many of us only have a survey green mask/ N95. Now we know how to use 3M half face mask with 6003 and P100 filter.
After protest inside the tear gas smoke for two months, people found out the tear gas are actually expired, many are suffering from the side effect of expired tear gas including skin ulceration, respiratory disease and diarrhea.
It is a good thing to let people know how to protect their respiratory system. Thank again for you information.
No problem, Dust masks and surgical masks like the N95 masks are pretty much useless for most things, even more so if CS/Tear gas is used which was originally designed to be used as a military chemical weapon/riot control.
Thank you UA-cam for recommending me this so I can protect myself from the virus corona
1895: there will flying cars in 2017
Reality: wearing a gas mask from ww2
Connor Leon 1895?? I’m pretty sure they didn’t even know their would be cars
Recommended to me in 2020, just in time for the nCoV outbreak. How ironic.
some people are here cause "wow cool!"
some are here to learn more about them.
others are here because gas masks have a large kink fallowing...
The Dust Mask has a problem I do, at the bottom where the dust can come through I have a gas mask that is that way. I’ve tightened to straps but there’s still a gap.
Really great channel. Just watched your “video game/movie issue” and I feel so awful that people sent you death threats. This is some really interesting information!
Thanks dude, vids like these are really helpful.
Love your channel, keep it strong.
My procrastination has no limits
Thank you, I needed this video when I was going to the Minecraft fandom
You'd need some sort of pressurised vehicle and all the best protection for that mate, be careful
This video has suddenly become extremely useful to millions of people
youtube in 2017:nah i dont really feel like it.
youtube in 2018:same as 2017
youtube in 2020:yes yes yes since the virus has started we'll put this in the recommendation *puts in recommendation*
Coronavirus is shaking rn
The dust masks are also used to prevent contamination via sneezing or coughing at crime scenes. Not usually for dust protection, although that is a use (albeit not very effective).
Interesting, I suppose it acts like a surgical mask preventing you from sneezing over everything.
Damn, This channel is one of the most useful channels I've ever seen.
Legit question here, Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid. Can you tell if he is wearing a real mask? Or is it just a stylistic choice. It always bugged me how they never said what his mask was.
Weaponsandstuff93 oh, thanks, that's been driving me nuts for a few months.
Damn, recommended just as the coronavirus' spreading. UA-cam recommendations trying to prepare us for the plague
9:25 now that's a face showing the expression of true fear haha
Need this for Australia bush fires since I live here
And also need this for the corona virus that somehow managed to come here aswell
Try an N99 mask that can adjust to seal to your face. I suggest Cambridge Mask Pro.
This man was living in the future.
hippity hoppity this video is in my recommended tab
Coronavirus: hey bo...
Me: GP5 STOP THAT THING WHIT ASBETOS
Very informative. Thanks!
New subscriber here. I'm enjoying your videos. Thanks for making this one.
I think your explanation of the rebreather was pretty spot on. You said something like "when you breath out it's mostly carbondioxide". We actually breath out more oxygen then carbondioxide. Normal air has about 0.4% CO2 and this raises to 4% when we exhale. Normal air has about 20% oxygen and when we breath out this goes down a few percent. We breath out more oxygen than CO2 (this is why mouth to mouth respiration works).
I don't think your comment about CO2 matters much. Again, great video. I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks.
Cheers, glad you like the video, I am not an expert on rebreathers as I am more interested in gas masks/filter respirators but I find them cool enough to pick up when I see them cheap.
The Chinese right now: *Ah yes M a s k s*
Bloody good life saving advice!
The SCBA(self contained breathing apparatus) is pretty much the best protection you can get. Most SCBAs have many options for cylinder sizes. My fire company uses “45 minute” cylinders which means that we have 45 minutes of air at a working pace depending on the volume of work and how in shape you are. At rest, those cylinders are estimated to last close to an hour and a half.
Yeah as mentioned particularly because you get a positive pressure seal so nothing can leak into the mask and you can operate in a zero-oxygen environment or a super heavily contaminated one.
Thanks for the comment.
Legend has it he went to the bathroom after his dad when he was 6 y/o
After 2 years, youtube gives me this video on my

If I might try to explain the suffocation danger of rebreathers:
tl;dr rebreathers don't introduce new oxygen to the system and remove CO2 so your body doesn't realize it's suffocating.
CO2 buildup is one of the few chemical indicators that let the human body know it's suffocating. It is transported through the blood in the same manner that oxygen is because it is the waste product oxygen is turned into. Ordinarily, the CO2 and oxygen are in fairly stable concentrations in the blood, so once CO2 concentrations go up, the body realizes it is suffocating.
Since rebreathers scrub CO2 from the air, it can't build up in the air/blood. Even though there is little carbon dioxide to build up, there is still a finite amount of oxygen. Your body continuously converts it into carbon dioxide which is then scrubbed from the air. The atmosphere in the rebreather remains carbon dioxide free but oxygen concentration continues to decrease. Other gasses like nitrogen will displace oxygen in your blood, but the body won't notice as it is tuned to listen for CO2 signals. Less and less oxygen actually makes it into your blood because its concentration decreases and nitrogen fills your blood. Oxygen levels as high as 16% (atmosphere is about 21%) are too low for humans to maintain normal brain function, and you will start to lose your senses until you either rip off your rebreather or suffocate inside it.
Yeah totally correct, I'm quite familiar with this now but not when I made this video.
For the rebreather, I assume the scrubber contains something like those Silica sachets (that scrubs out water vapour, this scrubs out CO2). Because it constantly absorbs/adsorbs the air you breathe out, and the system can't generate new air you'll have less air over time (the CO2 you breathe out was the O2 you breathe in)
The rebreather is supposed to be hooked up to a supplemental air tank to renew the gass volume lost into your body.
I didnt know I was actually interested in this kinda thing thanks recommended
UA-cam recommended doing a good job for once then, glad you liked the video.
Is there a particulate filter for the GP-5? I only want a gas mask for fun and don't intend to use it for anything other than that, maybe some air soft or work I dust
Soviet particle filters contain asbestos, you can force a Nato filter on the GP-5 damaging it, not making an air tight seal but it's safe for cosmetic reasons, or you could buy a Polish FP-5 filter or similar that is safe to use and actually works.
Thank you so much! your really a huge help, if i had'ent found your channel i probably would havwe ended up using the asbestos filter!
@@colewolff4967 you mean to tell ne you've never used chlorine gas in an Airsoft or paintball match? What heresy.
Hey can i ask? Where did you buy those mask and where did you get it? How much does it cost?
Sorry i have alot question since my country malaysian have 4case about coronavirus and i need to be prepare XD
Nearly all came from eBay the N95 type dust masks were from a hardware store, generally the price goes up as you go for more advanced masks
This will come in handy
i saw this video on a article about different types of gas masks
7:50 those masks work by creating a chemical reaction producing oxygen, allowing you to breathe, they also can set on fire underwater, so watch out for that one, if you get the chemical capsules
My guess is it would separate the carbon from the oxygen using a chemical reaction I don’t know about
Very relevant today.
we need this now
Since you have done a cheapest gas mask video, why not a cheapest NBC suit one?
Sort of already covered that, you can get very cheap PACT surplus suits but a lot comes down to postage price for the weight and bulk of the suit.
Best thing to do is make your own.
Salivar Ravilas That's the most American thing I've ever heard.
Dupont has commercial Tyvek suits that are meant for dust, including fallout, some liquid splashes, and some biological protection, for around 10-15 USD. Suits meant to stop chemical warfare agents, well that may be 30 USD and up.
Hi,can someone give me advice on how can I remove the stink from my gas mask? I have an M10 Czech gas mask and it stinks like burnt tire and bacon!
+Németh Kristóf Wash it with disinfectant but most masks smell due to rubber.
1:40 in 2021 we need those
this video is suitable right now. With coronavirus going on, i am going to send this video to my friends and family. thanks for the information.
Cheers, all of a sudden people want to watch my videos on protective gear rather than calling me crazy.
@@Weaponsandstuff93 I watch your video because of that coronavirus to get some knowledge of gas masks.
In Britain barely any one wears dustmasks
Same in the U.S. If you work in construction please use them. The older guys make fun of me on the jobsite for it but they complain about how they have trouble breathing when they retire.
What an ironic video recommendation
I just got a typ 4 swedish gas mask/Gas mask M/36 and when i shake the filter It sound like a Maraca is that leaked asbestos or?
Will it come out and bite me
It's the charcoal where it has broken down, I wouldn't advise using the mask.
Yea but if i now would keep the filter here in my room with the filter that is cheaply sealed It looks like
Will the filter bite me?
If you are really worried, put the filter in a plastic bag, that way if it leaks it can't hurt you.
I remember seeing a dust mask that kinda looked like a surgical one , wounder if those are better
he was prepared for the coronavirus 3 years early
Lol XD
Shit bouta get real
