I don't know if this is an unspoken thing or not, but I am very happy you share your list of ingredients for a recipe. It makes me mentally gauge how much you're gonna pop off depending on what's listed there, and is a great frame of reference on what I'd need to buy without completely rushing to find the recipe. Keep up the great work, it's always a treat to watch your videos!

I've always wondered if the solution to keeping the flavor from the coating for something like the Cheetos (or other flavored chip coatings) would be to air fry them instead of deep frying them. My theory is that the oil essentially just washes the flavors away.
Or adding cayenne pepper and garlic.
That mac and cheese looks fabulous! Reminds me of when I taught my kids how to make their own cheese sauce from a Béchamel. I created monsters, I tell you! They’d make it as an “after school snack”! I couldn’t keep cheese or milk stocked in the fridge.
I finally got to the point that when they had the hankering, they were in charge of dinner and they had to include a vegetable side. My son still loves experimenting with the cheeses in his blend.
Loving watching this series. It's great to see how far you've come & the upgrades are cool too.

What if you finely ground the hot cheetos into a powder and also mixed some into the flour and egg? Just shove it into every layer. Maybe use a spicy hot sauce you like in the egg mixture or something for that kick you are hoping for.

For the Mozzarella Sticks, you could try adding ground cayenne pepper. It'll add a good, spicy kick but not a whole lot of added flavor. As always, it was fun watching your video. Merry Christmas!

@David - As a chemistry post grad, the emulsion nroke basically because the emulsifier to liquid ratio was off
Ideally, all recipes tell you to add a third or lesser of liquid up front and then increase the oil / liquid

Try adding hot sauce to the beaten egg to make the cheesestick more spicy.
Iirc Josh from Mythical Kitchen has posted how to make flamin hot cheetos powder before, making some of that and tossing the cheese sticks in it would probably fix the flavor problem.

You have the right idea with the Cheetos mozzarella sticks. You are on the right path. But you needed more Cheeto dust. And you needed to dredge the mozzarella sticks. As they came out of the oil. And you needed to thoroughly coat them, for a third time. That would have given you the result you were looking for. As far as the spice factor. You probably needed to add additional spice, to the Cheeto dust. A little cayenne would fix that. And for Cheeto lime flavor. A little tajhin. Even a little additional lime zest. It's about the ratios.
For the hot cheeto sticks, try using the powder from the hot cheeto Mac and cheese box instead of flour. Just a thought

Well, _that's_ off the menu this year.
I think one of the reasons why blended crisps don't have enough flavour is because the crisp itself dilutes it (yes I say crisps, I'm from England😂). You then add egg, flour and panko diluting it further... Then fry it... Even if you add more powdered crisps on top I don't think it's ever going to be intense enough unless you use the flavour powder as well

Why is it that using chips for any type of breading always seems to lead to a bland flavour? I tried looking online, but I haven't really found anything outside of people making comments that a recipe with a chip in breading was bland. I've tried fritos, lays, cheetos, ruffles, and I never get that chip flavour. Is it just a flawed idea?
I think doing a video with recipes you hated or thought were disgusting, etc but try and make them better would be fun!!
