I'm not even American so I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I do want to take the time to thank you for all these years, I've been watching since I was 16 and now I'm 24, it's been a long time, my friend, and I appreciate everything we've been through, keep going, David, we love you! 🤍
good god this made me feel old lol but thank you so much!
@@DavidSeymourofficial oh nooo, sorry, totally not my intention lol
Steven, when you said “and…?” You were only saying what we were thinking. You’re an amazing couple and we all wish the best to both of you. Happy Thanksgiving!
The only leftover that becomes an issue, in our house, is the turkey after everything else runs out. Without cranberry, stuffing etc, the turkey gets very monotonous. The pho especially is a great way to deal with that! I might try it!
STCG
I make turkey pot pie
Turkey tetrazzini
Turkey soup
Sandwiches😂😂
The cottage pie would be a great way to use up any leftover veggies too. Dice up those roast carrots, parsnips, and brussel sprouts and toss them in with the meat.
YES you said cottage and not shepherds pie. Thank you.
I absolutely love pho! I’m very lucky to live somewhere that has a good sized Vietnamese and Hmong population in addition to Chinese. There are several places that serve authentic pho just in my city in our metro area. And when you see the place full of them, you know you’ve found a good one. My first introduction to pho was when I was invited to a birthday party for a former student’s son 25 years ago. I could have eaten bowl after bowl of it!
To think it's been eigth years since your first thanks giving recipe test is crazy. I've followed you for about that amount of time and learnd so much english and cooking stuff through your videos. You are one of my favourite creators and I just wish you, Steven and all your friends and family the best of luck :)
Hope you had a great thanksgiving david! 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃❤️❤️❤️❤️
For cottage pie I always put it under the grill and fork the mash a bit so it's all craggly, you get some nice colour that way 😊
I was very pleased with my leftovers this year. We had a big football game the day after so I wanted to make something game food appropriate. Used the leftover cranberry sauce in a homemade BBQ sauce which became shredded BBQ turkey sliders (on leftover rolls) and turned the leftover mashed potatoes into crispy potato croquettes.
I remember watching your videos in 2016 and loving them! It’s crazy that despite how much time has passed and how many things have changed that I have always loved watching your videos. It takes a lot to stand the testament of time on the internet and you have done it with grace!
The shepards pie couldve incorporated leftovers gravy into the meat sauce
The one I made with leftovers last year did! Also a base layer of stuffing.
@@wastelock 🤤
i don't celebrate thanksgiving but i'll be damned if i miss a single episode of david's cooking show!!
I made a similar thing with my left over turkey, corn, mac and cheese, and the sauce was the leftover gravy and heavy cream with all my mashed potatoes. It was SO good!!!
You're one of my favorite creators. Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you and David!
Thanks so much!
I honestly love seeing you and Steven together you're so cute 😚
i'm not from us and don't celebrate us thanksgiving but i watch this video every year 😂
Here in the UK we don't celebrate Thanks Giving. However these recipes can be used for Christmas leftovers some interesting ideas esp the last one.
I feel like leftover turkey and gravy could be used instead of the beef :0 Just add some fresh mirepoix and some peas and et voila! That way you use up more leftovers!
That's basically what I did!
@Wingedshadowwolf Oooh, I bet it was good! My family demolished my giblet gravy, so by the time I saw the video, it twas too late XD
Exactly! I was surprised it used fresh hamburger instead of leftover turkey!
Fridays are the best day of the week because of your videos!
I never really comment but i've seen so many of your videos. keep it up dude.
thank you!
i am such a big fan and have been for so many years! i am so glad youre still here and i hope you are here for much longer!
LoL Frenchalads. We did chicken and mushroom crepes at work and one of our servers kept calling them enchiladas
“From you bullies” 😂😂😂😂😂 should have i laughed that hard ??😂🤭 you always look amazing
Lefse is a traditional potato crepe. Look for instructions for that for more success
I love chicken phó. The first time i made it, i made it too sweet 😭. Usually with my turkey leftovers, i make noodle soups bc i always seem to get sinus infections around this time of the year
Thankful for you bro, I always look forward to your next video!
This was great. Thanks for sharing that soup recipe especially - it looks incredible and hope to make it sometime soon.
the crepe is a great idea! i would eat that
Love your channel David…I keep suggesting you to everyone to watch.
Great video Mr. Seymour! Keep up the good work - we love you ❤
❤❤
Soon after my parents were married they had a bunch of left over mashed potatoes and my father described cottage/Sheppard's pie to my mother. She made a version based on her Russian heritage and my father loved it. It became the day after Thanksgiving meal. He told her not to ask her family for his mother's version, since her version was so much better. Of course that recipe is lost now, since I did not get the recipe from her before she died.
When Steven appreaed at the end I thought it was you talking to yourself 😂😂😂 I didnt realize yall lookedd so similar 😅
Crazy that this is the longest running video series!!! Congrats!!! I love this series lol
Hahhaah that Matt Rife comment 😂
Loved it! Happy Thanksgiving David!!! 🫶
looking through the comments, yall got some of the weirdest hangups just watch the video and chill
I am sitting with my husband watching this video, and I am hearing Steven say "and....." with me saying out loud "STEVEN!" ❤
aww thanks so much for watching!
We missed you! Happy Thanksgiving
I work at a creperie our crepe of the month was a Thanksgiving leftover crepe
Thankful that you are a consistent, entertaining, awesome content creator 🙂
❤
Another fantastic video! Thanks david
Keep up the good work David
I’m relatively a recent subscriber ! Underrated UA-cam channel 😊
Cheers from San Diego California
David, I love you and I love your videos!
He has the OG Sriracha!
Happy Thanksgiving David!
Happy Halloween to all those thanksgiving eaters out there
Missed you last week!! ❤
That last one looks like something I would like to try.
Steven has the soothest voice ever, he should make audibles for bed time😂
Commenting for engagement. Love your videos! Happy holidays!
Thank you very much for this new video 🥰
I like making leftover flautas/taquitos with rolled up turkey and stuffing and we thin out some leftover mash with a lil heavy cream and cheese for dip. Or just all all the leftovers we normally have (turkey, mash, stuffing, corn) in empanadas with cranberry sauce or gravy on the side
you ywo are so cute together!❤❤❤❤
Another day another great video! 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
thankful for u david!!!!
❤
Love the idea of the crepes. But the struggle to make an acceptable crepe stops me just short of trying it.
Just make tortillas instead.
I’m a firm believer that Thanksgiving Leftover Stromboli is the best use for these leftovers… So good in fact my family has made 3 Thanksgiving dinners I the past year just to be able to make the Stromboli a few times after the fact!
I don't think I would be able to do the crepes, but that's definitely the one that looked the most delicious to me.
You could try using tortillas as an alternative!
Looks great❤
Excellent video
My grandma always used a hot cast iron pan for crepes and flipped with her fingers
One thanksgiving leftovers meal I always have is jook made from the Turkey bones
Happy Holifays
Oohh…I made the Cottage Pie (it’s only Sheppards pie if you use lamb) with left over turkey.
Damn. I’m gonna attempt those Thanksgiving Enchiladas.
Frenchilladas!
The COTTAGE pie looked very good :P Love you and all your videos! I would like to SEY MOUR! (Yup, I'll just go now...)
Wow! 5th. earliest I've ever been before
I effin hate crepes!!! lol watching u make them remind me of when I worked for Fairway and I had to make 100 pounds of them ugh 😂😂 love ur vids David ❤
omg respect I could never
Is that your always pan that wasn't working very well? Because my always pan was GREAT for awhile, but then it just kind of died. I never had it on too high of a heat and always hand washed it and never used anything to scratch it up but still... it's always sticking now.
Frenchiladas was right there...
im losing my touch idk how I missed it
Steven sounds like he’s supposed to have an English accent 💀
Wasn’t expecting a Matt Rife reference. I didn’t think it was that bad. Lol
only going based off what I've seen on social media lol. The tiktok gurlies are not happy with him!
4:19
I got off the Matt Rife train when I saw an interview with him on TikTok a few months ago.
He gave me the ick 🤢… I guess my spidey senses were on point 😏
I actually made turkey pho, but it wasn't leftover it was from a fresh uncooked turkey.
David,
we love you.
💚♥️💚♥️💚
Friday evenings (or Saturday mornings), UA-cam just wouldn't be the same without you.
I would love to see you collab with Emmy, Quang Tran, Future Canoe, Beryl Shereshewsky & Lisa Nguyen.
I think those would be such fun collabs & you all would have interesting stuff to learn from & teach each other.
BTW: You & the boy are so cute
♥‿♥
I see we share the same love language - teasing our significant others!! LOL!!
To me, that's what helps keep a relationship spicy & fresh - jokes & a great sense of humor.
Husband & I are pushing 20 yrs& we say we can never remember if we've been together FOREVER or just a little while lol.
Here's hoping for the best, happiest holiday season to you and everyone you care for.
I hope all your wishes come true💚♥️💚
You just made my whole week with this comment! Thank you so much and congrats on 20 years!! ❤
Awwww!! thank you sweetie♥️
That just made MY week!!💚
You make our UA-cam watching on the weekends. We always look forward to yr videos & have such a good time watching them.
The one thing we have been wanting to see is the David Seymour origin story! LOL!
Like what got you into cooking (I'm going to guess at least partly having an Italian family lol I'm Italian & Greek so learning to cook was just a given. I was in the kitchen from the time I could hold a spatula!)
What is your other background in cooking? Restaurants? Cooking school or classes?
Do you dislike Rachel Ray as much as I do? LOL!!
Her old traveling on only $40 a day show INFURIATED me not just as a former server (but yeah that was a lot of it) it's just so skanky to shortchange waitstaff like she encouraged ppl to do!!
We would love to see some more Greek cooking too!!
& I think a fun episode could be a comparison of the biggest name diners' in Rochester's GARBAGE PLATES!!
You should also check out Akis channel.
youtube.com/@akispetretzikisen?si=MfU8_Og6c1lXFCDj
if you do another Greek episode, I think it might be fun to see how many different versions of Spanakopita there are on YT!!
My sister and I ended up in a Spanakopita rabbit hole one day& OMG! Everyone makes it their own way!!
Some ppl even use DEVIL CREAM in the filling!! LOL!
It's crazy how many versions there are!!
(I HIGHLY recommend trying to make your own phyllo dough for it. It's not as thin & delicate as puff pastry or store bought phyllo, its more like halfway between that & pita bread. It's so crispy crunchy delicious. I guarantee you will love it. & Its rly not that hard to make. Rolling it out & stretching it is probably the hardest part but if you can recruit an extra set of hands, it makes it a lot easier!!)
I was so excited to see Quang in one of yr videos!!
He's an absolute madman but man can he cook!!
We love you David! Keep up the great content!!
🌈💚♥️💚🌈
Or swap out beef for leftover chopped turkey
"These are basically French enchiladas" Do you mean... Frenchiladas?
That's Cottage Pie, Shepherd's Pie is lamb. This is due to the fact that shepherds herd sheep while cottages herd cows.
Frenchilada a la Years End Celebration.
Frenchiladas!
mcdonalds hairline is actually an insane insult ☠️
True. Plus it's more Eddie Munster anyway.
Very cute & a little werewolf-y.
👻
do you own anything else besides plaid flannels?
no
I like your 2016 hairline. Love your videos!
Was that nonstick pan a former sponsor?
Hey david, I think you should evolve to mostly improving social media recipes. Only follow them exactly when it’s part of the content
been considering this. Thanks for the suggestion!
Definitely should try that pho. As for the pronunciation, just say fuck without the “ck”. Close enough.
"They used to be $5 and huge, now they're $7 and small!"
They're $12.49 around here.
I would go to your food truck!
What happened to the nerds from bully?
$7 for a rotisserie chicken is a STEAL, they're like the equivalent of $11 USD in Canada 😢which is $15 in maple dollars
Hrmmm..I have rice noodles and don’t know what to do with them?
Cottage pie looks great. But it's a COTTAGE pie, not a Shepherds pie. As i think probably two dozen people haave or will have had mentioned
is steven baked in this video? XD
I know it is a nitpick but it always bugs me when it's called shepherd's pie wthout using lamb.
I know exactly what you mean if not using lamb it's a Cottage Pie - I think its the same in the USA. I'm from the UK.
Not a nitpick. Accurate and fair. Cottage pie.
It’s probably like when I hear anyone say “chicken burger”.
It destroys my soul even though I know it does not matter.
(They’re never talking about ground chicken, they’re always talking about a chicken sandwich, and it drives me crazy.)
@@Mark-nh2hs I am from the US and that is the proper terminology here. It just is often used wrong
@@JennRighterI mean in many places outside the us, if burger buns are used…. It’s called a burger regardless of what is put in the buns. I’m from Australia for example, and it’s that way here 🤷♀️
If a roll is used. We call it a roll. A wrap, well a wrap etc.
Wait, what happened to Matt Rife? Was his Netflix special that bad?
"Leftover shepherd's pie" the name of it says, despite only using leftover mashed potato
/lh I joke I joke; it'd probably be a great way to use up some leftover singular ingredients as well
You couldve just called it Frenchiladas!!
Leftover mashed potatoes? I understand the words but not the concept.
Anybody going to tell him he's making Cottage pie?
