"Everyone cooks dashi a bit differently so the measurements aren't so important" Chris: pours it into a measuring spoon but with too much force so way more than the spoon's amount goes in "...okay maybe still a bit important" "Chris is...Chris is here." 😂 gold tier comedy!
This is so good! I'd like to see one with the Trash Taste boys. But I don't know if that kitchen can handle three at once. Edit: Joey vs. Aki and Garnt vs. Sydney also works and we can have the winners battle it out as well.
Another day of chris Making eggs another pan that got hurt 🤕 I guess we should at least be grateful he didn't use a metal spoon in a none stick pan this time 😅
Chris is obviously trying, and that's what matters...lol He was able to bicycle across Japan, is one of the most active content creators, but he can't cook a japanese omelette to save his life. He shows us he is human and humble this way! 😂
I honestly cannot make omolette's i've tried so many times with different pans, I've tried with oil and butter, evertime the egg just sticks to the pan and falls apparently, it simply isn't foldable or anything like I see people do, I don't know what I am doing wrong. So I stick to scrambled eggs only, lol. I do worst then Chris in making omelettes lol.
You know, in fairness, Chris is learning though. He's a bit haphazard in measurements, and rushes ahead, but he does listen to the instructions. He did things in the right order, remembered the measurements he was told (100 ml). But the heat was too high, he overpoured the salt, and he soaked up all the oil instead of distributing it. I think for a very simple meal with only a few steps, he could really nail it. Also I've made dashimaki-tamago at home and it requires patience. Something Chris does not have. He gets too impatient and is too rough. If he went slower and softer, I think he could really make a delicious meal. That's his only 2 issues. He just doesn't take his time and is rough. Congrats Sharla on winning. I look forward to Chris continuing to learn so someday instead of "cooking" he just cooks. Like actually. In the meantime, good luck Sharla. You'll obviously need to feed him otherwise he'll continue to subsist on Fami-Chiki and ramen. I also love that you were considerate of Sharla not eating meat and gave them vegetables. 🥰
prediction going into the video: Sharla is going to destroy Chris like Gordon Ramsay against a college dropout who worked at McDonalds for 2 weeks after watching the video, Chris actually surprised me, it was a lot closer than expected, good job Chris!
Champ I’ve always wanted to know what do boxers do in Japan regarding shoes and indoors since boxers where boots, do they come in with normal shoes than as they travel to the changing rooms then change into their boots or does this not apply in a boxing gym in Japan
This is my favorite Japanese cooking channel and I actually learned a lot from Champ ;) But I think Sharla should have lost this challenge due to nail polish since that is a BIG no in food preparation...

This is some really HORRIBLE wobbly camerawork ☹️
Hahahaha I love watching Chris "cook" 😂😂
My poor frypan!
shots fired, though he cooks like a bloke who knows how he likes his food, you cook nicely :p
Don't we all 🤣😂

It’s a disaster I can’t look away from 😂
Chris is such a good sport with all the jokes at his expense.
Great video! I was looking forward to this episode
I wish I had as much self confidence as mister Affable
Kudos to Chris for trying but sorry bro, those of us who have been following Sharla long enough know she has a gift for cooking. 😊👍
nicela
Did Meilyne lose weight?
The worst part for Chris is that they live together and he has to look at that trophy everyday xD
Of course he gets to eat Sharla's cooking everyday so I think he is a winner in that respect!
Trophy*
@@damascusraven Oke ^^ thx, I'm Dutch :P
Chris will say the love of his life won that trophy and be proud of Sharla.
"Everyone cooks dashi a bit differently so the measurements aren't so important"
Chris: pours it into a measuring spoon but with too much force so way more than the spoon's amount goes in
"...okay maybe still a bit important"
"Chris is...Chris is here."
😂 gold tier comedy!
When Chris started heating up that pan, I could almost smell the smoke through my screen 🤣
I honestly started coughing (not that I have ever overheated a frying pan ever)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I started worrying MY fire alarm will go off 😂
I was watching Chris and looking around my place for my fire extinguisher in case any flames came through my screen.
@@kocronashi had to open a window just in case.
Abroad in a Pan keeping up the impeccable standards! Yay Sharla!
I love to see that Cris & Sharla make each other laugh. A sign of a happy life together
Sharla is a good home cook, while Chris is... English.
I seriously hope Sharla got to keep that trophy. If so she should put it on the nightstand on Chris's side of the bed. xD
Chris eating while they do the closing is so on-brand
Try dragging CdawgVA out to cook next
I think now you need to get Sharla and Emma from Tokidoki to comepete since they both are good cooks. Maybe Champ vs Mei xD
*pan still smoking* Chris: it's cooled down now
This is so good!
I'd like to see one with the Trash Taste boys.
But I don't know if that kitchen can handle three at once.
Edit: Joey vs. Aki and Garnt vs. Sydney also works and we can have the winners battle it out as well.
Love the Chris and Sharla double feature!
I would love to see Joey go head to head with Akidearest!
The winner has to go against champ; in the boxing ring.
This series was fantastic, I would love to see an uncut version or a livestream final next time. Sharla needs to defend her championship title.
Chris is my winner. Hes so good a chef that he almost finished his food before giving it to the jury.
Another day of chris Making eggs another pan that got hurt 🤕 I guess we should at least be grateful he didn't use a metal spoon in a none stick pan this time 😅
Sharla has the trophy, but Chris has Sharla. Who is the real winner?
ABROAD IN A PAN RIDES AGAIN
Chris struggles with a cup noodle - how was he in a cook off final?
Because his opponent (junkfoodjapan) royally screwed up by mistaking vinegar for mirin (cooking sake) and made something truly abominable
sadly, Nic def. had more skill
Everyone knows Chris can't cook one of those, you really did set the poor man up to fail lol
Love your recipes Champ, but I would love to see more contests like this from time to time.
Really enjoyed this series champ! Maybe a trash taste battle in the future?
Real talk tho Chris seriously lost some weight!
Omg this is brilliant! Sushi is such a good challenge, dashinaki tamago is such a good tec challenge 😂
More contests would be great! This was really fun watching those 2 cooking
"Chris is also here." that's a great burn. Much like Chris' omlette.
Chris is obviously trying, and that's what matters...lol
He was able to bicycle across Japan, is one of the most active content creators, but he can't cook a japanese omelette to save his life. He shows us he is human and humble this way! 😂
OMG. I can't stop LMAO watching this. That award so huge too...Congrats Sharla LOL
I hope I see more of Chris attempts on cooking xD very funny(cos I can relate)
I feel having a smaller pan for the rolled omelet helps (at home, at least). It's easier to roll if it's as wide as your spatula 😄
I love how the ending is all serious and trying to pretend we don't know who the winner is gonna be.
That trophy is more of a punishment than a prize in small home living lol
Meilyn is hella cute if no one else gonna say it
I like how champ shows them what to do first it makes the results better and it’s nice to see how a professional does it
Chris was being nice and let his gf win this one. 😂
This was fun. I like the idea of bringing in guests, but think I prefer a more in-depth teaching kind of video.

This fantastic train wreck was like a warm hug. Thank you to all involved, keep it up! ! ! !
Chris' omelettes look like how I do mine.... so scrambled! 😂
Love these contest ones! So fun 😍
Weird Anime, I like it.
I think we all knew who was gonna win. Anyway, congratulations! :D

I call sympathy soon from Chris... He totally threw, in order to keep Sharla happy... GF always wins 😂
Chris and my husband must have taken the same "cooking" class 😂😂 brilliant viewing
"When you've discovered perfection, sometimes words just don't come."
I lost it there. XD
I would have been so disappointed if Sharla had lost 😅
I actually don't agree. Chris made a more delicious dish, visual wins over taste? No. It should've been a draw.
This looks like it was a strategic move to get Sharla to do all the cooking at home... well played, well played.
Sharla looks like the main singer from the russian music band "Little Big" in the thumbnail.
Chris is so crass. I know he is capable of doing great things, but life is too "convenient" for him to exert himself.
Chris tried his best
Congratulations to Sharla 🎉

Japan in a nutshell: "Don't worry, we know you don't eat fish, here's your dashi!"
毎回楽しく拝見させていただいてます🍣おみやげコーナーの、沖縄の塩キャラメルナッツサブレおいしかったですか~❓気になります🍪
I would never survive this.... I only have a kitchen because it came with the house
This is such a cool channel ❤
3mins in and Champ is dunking on Chris for his cooking eggs on the Tokyo Creative video.
16:34 That face says "what in the actual fuck?! are you kidding me?!"
I was surprised Chris' tamagoyaki turned out better!
Cogradulations Sharla.
Chris's sushi reminds me of the Delta airline sushi meal I had, tasty but ugly😃
Ah! Two of my favourite UA-cam creators together!
Good job Chris! As long as you enjoyed the food, well worth the effort!
Chris really half asses cooking its hilarious you can see the point where he thinks f it im done
I'm soo glad I found this channel. These cooking videos have been amazing. Even saved some to go back over later.
Wow that trophy is massive, is that one of Champ's?
Love these contests, especially with things i can make at home too.
How long after Christ burn the pan did he turn off the heat?
The Abroad in a Pan content I live for 🤣🤣🤣
First video I have seen of yours and your english is so good :D
Watching chris cook really stresses me out 😅
Chris vs cdawgva next please 😅
Now i wonder how chaotic it is if Chris vs Connor 🤔
This is my favorite Japanese cooking channel and I actually learned a lot from Champ ;) But I think Sharla should have lost this challenge due to nail polish since that is a BIG no in food preparation...
Not nail polish Frank, they’re gel ;)
Sharla doesn't eat fish... whaaaaat
No one died, and isn't that real winning goal in the end?
8:26 aaand Chris is... Chris is also here XD
WTF that trophy is overkill XD
Mr affable was robbed, Robbed I say!
I really enjoyed this video ❤
i loved the competition videos!!
Love watching Sharla and Chris competing in the kitchen such fun! Please do more with them!
Awww, Sharla and Chris are so cute together. They should date.
They are engaged to be married.
'a tour de force of flavours'
O7 pan
Chris you lookin fit man
