I'd like to know the price ranges for Asteria and the other places.
Where are you from Originally?
Both my parents worked at Disney growing up.
I would love them to get into this.
They tried the same thing in Florida. It didn't do very well. Living there was supposedly creepy and the guidelines were crazy.
Yet another high end community that locals can't afford, not to mention all the displaced wildlife. Biggest issue: NO new infrastructure. This area has been full for decades, yet all those due to benefit from overdevelopment, including realtors, continue to applaud more and more, lining only their pockets. Pittsboro is a beautiful quaint town. No more once Disney comes (and then sells out which is common for them). Enough already.
Looking to retire in North Carolina but I guess this new project is not affordable to middle class folks only the ultra rich.
This isn’t great. As a local I’m not yet ready for prices to go up again
Disney tried this once before. It wasn't very good. The neighborhood is no longer affiliated with Disney and is still pushing.
Good entrepreneurs/companies know when to give up.

This is greed. Pittsboro and multiple other towns in Chatham County do not have clean city water
We are selling our North Carolina souls to Big Money. The traffic will be horrendous. At least New York has subways and trains. What are they doing for the displaced animals? We don't have good water already. What water will be delivered to these 2M homes?

Asteria is just a wannabe Cotino, lets keep it real folks. Cotino has historic relevancy, Walt Disney spent time in rancho mirage area not only him but presidens stay there as well. Asteria is just a place with no historical relevancy whatsoever and for Disney to give the East Coast a Disney theme to satisfy there yearning to be like California, but on the bright side the homes in Asteria are probably going to be cheaper since its in North Carolina. And finally I do not know why Disney chose North Carolina when their second theme park is located in Florida that would make much more sense, just like how Cotino is built in Southern California home to the first Disney park.
Not Wake county.. it would be Chatham co. Pittsboro, NC
Not remotely convenient to Raleigh living.

Its already expensive to live here. And now it will be impossible for locals to afford a house. We already have apple campus and amazon
Good luck with that. I pretty sure they haven’t yet broken ground on the Disney community in Rancho Mirage that was announced about two years ago.
They just broke ground and have been doing presales on homes for a couple months. Hopefully Asteria hits their 2027 target for beginning sales.
Will this have a positive impact on homes values in wake county?
Absolutely. More and more announcements like these create an umbrella effect of more people and companies wanting to follow.
Disney has become a massive cult and the fact people are willing to live in this dystopian HOA is abysmal

the issue i am having when looking at places to move in NC is I am religous and there like zero synagogues with housing you can walk to.
