Hydrating setting sprays are terrific for us very oldies! Thank you ever so much. Here’s a tip for those with sparse brows, spray setting spray on an angled brush, dip in shadow that matches your brows and fill in your brows…so so easy…abundant blessings ♥️
Thank you, for that tip!! I am definitely going to try that!!🤗
Amazing tip!! Thank you for sharing this!
Great tip! I'm currently juggling an eyebrow pencil, a three-point felt tip-type eyebrow pen and a brow pomade, and not happy with any one of them or any combo of them! Your idea sounds so simple, I could probably make it work! Thanks!
Great idea going to try. 🏵️🌺
I love the Milani Make it Last Original setting spray. It's a game changer.
that's the one I'm currently using. I bought the huge one
I agree, I love the milani make it last and there's so many other good ones she didn't mention
Me too!
I can’t use it! It never worked on my skin, but I have normal/drier in the winter. But I bet for oily skin it must work well! I ended up giving it to my sister who has oily skin and she loved it.
Milani Make It Last, the original or the Matte is hands down the best at the drugstore! It has a light pleasant scent and feels so nice on the face. Please try it!
currently listening/watching while i drink a hot tea and *finally* put away clean laundry! love your videos ❤
Yes due to your recommendation I now love the Elf setting aloe spray. OMG 😲
I was having to use Urban Decay's All Nighter Spray because nothing else would keep my face in place, but recently started experimenting with Milani's Dewy Setting Spray, and so far it is holding up just as much as Urban Decay but at a quarter of the price.
Absolutely Awesome. Just what I needed. I'm out and I keep getting skincare instead because my skin is painfully dry. 🤦🏽 I am always forgetting how helpful these can be to deal with that. Joy to you too!
🌟🎉🌟
Blessings to you too sweet lady. ! Thank you video. I’m running to the store to get some of them. I have such a challenge with my foundation staying on all day. It doesn’t matter which one it is. Much Love 💕 to you. God bless you for being a light in this dark world.
GIRL, I'm waiting on you to hit 1 million subscribers!! You are so right about store brand's own makeup collection because the Sephora Collection also has a lot of hidden gems within their collection.. As an oily girl, I appreciate you, Zabrena!😊❤
This is perfect timing lol I need to buy a new setting spray and was unsure to keep using the same one. Thank you! 😊 💕
Loved this review. Ty for getting right to the point.
ULTA is a FABULOUS brand all around, and especially their setting sprays! I use the purple one and the SPF 50 ones, they’re my favorite setting sprays ever!!! Thank you for another wonderful and helpful video Zabrena, beautiful background and gorgeous you!!!
I'm so excited that you recommended the Ulta setting spray since it is alcohol and witch hazel free. Both of those ingredients really negatively affect my skin. I've been using the Catrice Illuminating setting spray for several years.... but was looking for another option! I like the fact that I can order the Ulta spray online and pick it up from the store!!
I have very dry skin and have been using the Believe Beauty setting spray and it works very well. I've used them both. I love them.
Brilliant way to test them -- thanks so much! The ColorPop Pretty Fresh setting spray is my favorite. The super fine mister is PERFECT, and the light, heavenly scent dissipates right away.
Absolutely love the E.L.F setting spray. I have the blue one and it replaced my L'Oreal infallible one.
Needed this video. Thank you!
I was just looking for a video like this. Thank u Z!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I haven't used a setting spray but have been interested in trying one. I will probably try the e.l.f. spray - love their products and prices! Thanks for the comparisons and info! You look gorgeous, as always, Zabrena. I love your eye look!
I appreciate this video. I would like a half and half comparison, comparing each one to UD All Nighter (which is my holy grail). Maybe I’ll have to take on that challenge myself. 😊
Thank you for such a detailed review!
I tried spraying my brush and it worked so well for me! My sister and I are looking for more affordable options thanks for taking the stress out of our process so we can keep makeup fun!!!
Woot woot! Hugs to you gorgeous!
Sabre a you have changed my life!!!! I’ve loved all your suggestions and tutorials!!!! I’ve saved so much money and I’m happier with my skincare and makeup! 💕. I started a new job today and will be working in the office 3 days a week and 2 at home. I haven’t worked in an office since 2/2020 when our office closed for Covid. I felt so pretty and confident all day thanks to you!!!! I used the 16 hour elf setting spray in between each application- moisturizer, primer, foundation, powders and a final spray when it was all done. None of my face makeup moved and looked fresh until later in the evening!!!!!!!!
What eyelid primer do you recommend? I realize I have oily eyelids!!! Lol.
Thanks for all you do!!!💕💕💕
Oh my gosh! I used to watch your videos all the time I’m so happy I stumbled back to you ❤
I use Elf Makeup Mist & Set. its probably their original setting spray. I really like it. It keeps my makeup in place all day and I am not oily looking at the end of the day.
I’ve been using it for years! I love it and love that it has no alcohol in it. Although I decanter it into a different bottle with a finer mist.
My current fave is the Essence fix and last 18hr makeup fixing spray. Matte finish and waterproof. I’ve had my makeup not move even when sweating profusely while turning the manure pile in summer. I do have dry, more mature skin for reference. Sometimes, I decide to be extra while doing farm work 😅
Awwww ❤❤ur cute .. I’ve got to try this one essence 18 hr and waterproof too wahooo
Now THAT says everything! Haha! Love this! Thank you for sharing that!
@Auntie Liz I do the same thing on my little farm on occasion. You know, extra!
❤ this!!!!!
Thank you for this! I am looking for a setting spray right now.
Going to try the Pacifica. Been using Joah, and that works well, but want something a little more hydrating. Thanks for the tips and warm fuzzies back at ya baby girl !
That Believe Beauty setting spray is my all-time fave. The elf sprays are good but, like you said, the misters get clogged. So I just save the bottle from the Believe brand and pour the elf spray into it, of course marking which is which. Then it sprays just as nicely as the Believe. That mister is incredibly fine and beautiful. Thank you for this video - it's nice to have options if I'm unable to get my favorites!!
Fun seeing the little head behind you. I’ve been watching you since before you became a working mamma! I’m happy for you 💕
Haha! Thank you so much hun :)
Thank you good to know. I like them. Will try.
Thank you for sharing scripture with us Z 📜 I really enjoy it 🌻🍂🍃God bless you 🌻
Was looking for a new spray thanks for the video. Have a great weekend end .
Thank you so much in this hard times we need a good setting spray that works and is not to Expensive
I use NYX Bare with Me setting spray. It has a super fine mist, drugstore price, holds make up very well and is good for my sensitive skin.
I love the wear-tests! That is so helpful! So TYSM ♡ I would also love to see a transfer-test too because that is 1 major issue I am trying to help with my setting spray. In case I scratch my nose or touch my face - I don't want my makeup to come off. I've been using the Tarte Stay Spray because I heard this is the best setting spray for that. Would love to see even more of these types of videos and what you think of that spray in particular in this style video 🙏
the elf is my go to for setting spray and believe beauty
Hi Zabrena I tend to use setting sprays from Catrice and most of them have worked pretty well for me. Best wishes.
Holy moly that eyeliner makes your eyes look SO TURQUOISE!!!
The elf stay all night micro setting mist is my go to. Definitely better then the urban decay one by far.
I just found your channel, it was a UA-cam suggestion :) I’m new to setting sprays, because honestly My Makeup stays all day without fading. I couldn’t even tell you how to properly use them :) I feel that the key to your makeup staying all day is a great foundation. I do not use an eye primer either. I put My Foundation on after My Moisturizer and I have no issue with it staying. I honestly see no difference when I add primer. I use a foundation I found on Amazon suggested by another UA-camr, I use Phoera 102. It’s an amazing foundation. You get 2 bottles for $15. You can get one color or you can mix it up and get two different shades. Before that I used Revlon Colorstay for years and I’ve used Elf, but I find I like the Phoera best.
The Florence setting spray is so nice! I recommend for a natural, more dewy finish ✨️
How did I not know they made one, too! I must try!
Thanks Zabrena 😊😊💚💚💚💚
The Elf spray is the best by far! Longwear, mist etc. I got the Milani to try and it’s okay but not as good as the Elf one.
Hi, Zabrena!! You look absolutely gorgeous!! Your eye makeup is so beautiful!! I like the Milani Matte setting spray and the Elf ones, that you mentioned. God bless you and your family!! ❤️
I like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost setting spray.
I still keep coming back to the elf original setting spray, it really is still so good and I’ve tried many
I love The E.L.F one
Surprised milani isn't on here..the mattifying is my go to...oily skin
Ooooo, must try.
Ur right it’s been raved about a lot too
Thanks for adding it! I went looking for it in my area a couple weeks ago, couldn't find it here :(
Milani is my favorite!!
Love it!
I just ran out of setting spray!! This was just what I was looking for!
Whoooooo! YAY! Thank you for being here!
I have both Charlotte tilbury setting spray and Milani charcoal setting spray. And may I say I only reach for my CT one if I ran out of Milani. Yes its that good ❤️
Try the Joah Set-Fection Transfer Proof setting spray - it is incredible!! I am using the Charlotte Tillbury one now and think I'll try the Ulta brand one now. Thanks!!
I've really enjoyed The Flower Beauty one. The one from shop miss a works well but it does have a strong fragrance. I don't mind it especially at that price point. I have oily skin
I love the Milani Matte setting spray. It works better than the Porefessional setting spray by Benefit.
Great video Zabrena.
love your eyeliner!
She’s gorgeous
I also like the Milani setting sprays. 😊 Thank you!
Which do u recommend for oily skin?
@@aavv1818 I have oily skin and I enjoy the make it last "matte" or "original " setting spray. One in a black bottle, the other in clear and see through bottle. 🙂 Let me know if you try it!
Milani Make it Last "Dewy"....I have dry skin and this is my go to setting spray!
Thank you for this video. Gotta say your production crew is sure cute.
I may change my mind but loving Cover Girl Hydrating Cleanser right now. I think it is new.
Have them all, except the Believe beauty one... cause I'm from Canada. But when I'll go to the US, I'll make sure to get some of their products 😀
I’ve used the Hard Candy setting spray for years… you did a wear test years ago and I’ve loved/used it ever since!!! It’s still amazing 💋♥️
I’ll have to give it a try ty ❤
Ahhh yes! Great one! I'm having a hard time finding Hard Candy in local Walmarts here :(
@@Zabrena yeah, me too!!! I was hoping it was just my Walmart….. I hope this isn’t a bad sign 💔💔
zabrena have you ever tried using setting spray before makeup, like as primer? it works so well!! i learned that from robert welsh and it makes so much sense, because its your oils breaking down the makeup, and they come from beneath it!! best tip i learned, i use it everytine i do my makeup and it doesn't move! even under a mask
YES! I so often forget to use it like this but you're right! Thank you for that reminder!
@@Zabrena 🖤🖤 you're welcome!!!
Do you also use it on the top of your makeup???
@@mindygooding9458 yeah!! mostly just to settle any powders down
NYX Dewy setting spray is what I use at work. Not really a discernible fragrance and takes care of a powdery look if I’m too heavy handed.
I am currently wearing MakeUp Revolution Matte Fix setting spray. It is warm in California now and I work outside and my makeup lasts all day.
Morphe continuous setting mist and milani make it last setting spray are my favorites. I have to say I do enjoy the morphe one more because the milani one keeps getting clogged on me and coming out in big spots on my face unfortunately. The morphe one is just so fine that I find myself not using the milani one much anymore because of the harsh mist
Essance you better work" is a favorite of mine. I've gone through many bottles of it and I wish they sold a bigger size lol
I like to spray a powder puff and lightly pat my face I feel I blurs every and really locks in the setting spray on to makeup
Can you show us how you made the pumpkin decorations in the background? Too cute!
Read my mind ! I was going to suggest a setting spray video. You beat me to it. Thank you for this fantastic and informative video.
Now how about one of the makeup you most love (mascara) and hate (blush). Thanks!!!
I swear by the ELF settings sprays...yes I USE BOTH of them.
I got so annoyed with the green elf spray, I tossed it. Guess I should have read the directions! 🤣 I recently found the Essence You Better Work spray. It's very good!
So many contain aloe, I’m allergic! I stick with the Milani Make It Last Original because it doesn’t have aloe in it. Works well enough for me but I’d love to find another one to try
Rimmel setting Spray is awesome.
Can oily skin use it too? Which do you recommend (gonna get it today).
-San Francisco fan girl
@@aavv1818 Yes I would recommend to oily skin to
Steer clear of Hard Candy’s Matte setting spray-burned my face & eyes so badly my family was scared for me!
Aw no! So sorry to hear this!
My fave is from a Canadian drugstore brand called Anabelle. Finest mist and long lasting effect. Also makes the powdery look disappear. A gem at a cheap price.
How is it for dry skin?
@@maryjflanagan1922 my skin in normal to dry and it works wonders.
Love everything about the Milani except can't unscrew top
I'm currently using the Catrice Dewy setting spray and I really like it 🤗
I love rotten ELF green setting spray !
I wasn't that impressed with hourglass so I'll try the elfs sprays. I like KVD one too although it has fragrance which I don't mind. I am looking for one that will minimise menopausal sweats 🙄 I don't mind the price tag if it works
A good one for dry skin is the L’Oréal shake and glow. Higher end is the tatcha spray and a dupe for that is the cover FX dewy spray (not the illuminating one, that one has glitter!). Hope this help others that watches all of Zabrenas videos that have a completely different skin type than her! 😂
Who wants glitter all over there face 😮
Thank you for sharing those with everyone! You da best!
@@Zabrena you’re very welcome! 🤗
The travel yay ha is 22$ t
Cover fix 15$
@@joansmith6844 - Which one was the travel yay ha? 🤣
I’m combination skin and the Tatcha setting spray gives me a strange, gummy (for lack of a better word?) texture and the foundation is gone in less than 2 hours.
I now use it instead of skin prep before foundation. ❤️
Video Request:
That eyeshadow makes your blue eyes pop more than any eyeshadow look Ive ever seen you in over the years. Please do a tutorial & explanation of the color theory of why it works & then do some similar looks for green, brown, hazel eyes too please with some quality, affordable eyeshadow & eyeliner recommendations please. God bless.
Thank you! Are you talking about the speaking portion of this video? I only ask because there were so many makeup looks shown in this video LOL :) Thank you for the request!
@@Zabrena Yes, the speaking part with the bright blue eyeliner.
I needed this so much because I’m in the market for one! have you every tried the new revlon 24h setting spray? God bless
I heard revlon have gone bankrupt. Could be a rumor though?
@@elainebines6803 it’s true
I'm surprised you didn't mention Milani's setting spray. What do you think of that one?
What's the difference between the blue and green ELF sprays? Is there a wear time difference or is one better for oily skin?
I personally think the blue one doesn’t do anything. It’s not very good
❤❤❤
From essence, catrice, Maybelline, L'Oréal,wet n wild , nyx which setting sprays would you recommend. These are the most affordable and accessible brands in Greece
Have y’all tried the DG Bath & Body Works dupes?? They have the entire line… hand soap, lotions, butters , scrubs-all if it!!! I’ve tried the ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’ dupe line…. Amazing!!! The hand soap isn’t as foamy but the scent is spot on!!! It’s called ‘Sugar Dream’ there’s a strawberry line that smells wonderful too!! Give them a try if you haven’t!!!♥️♥️💋💋
So which one can be used as a setting spray?
@@MyCleverHandle From DG? The Believe Beauty…..
How does the Believe Beauty Perfecting spray compare to their Master At Matte spray, anyone know?
The Peanuts Holiday collection from Wet n Wild is coming soon!
Hey Zabrena! I was just starting on my own setting spray safari, so I really appreciate this video! Fortunately, just one of the ones you tried has no alcohol or witch hazel: Ulta! I'm also going to be looking at their setting powder, so it's nice to have more than one reason to go into the store - I don't do online shopping. Ever! So thanks for your input! I've been using plain Rosewater spray, bc I don't mind if it lands on my hair, clothes, jewelry or vanity counter, and it's hydrating as all get out. And it smells so wonderful and doesn't irritate or kick up my rosacea. But it takes quite awhile to set, so I'm going after that Ulta! Thanks for your energy and focus!
💜💜💜💜
OMG,could you tell me what the name is of the bronze eyeliner that you were wearing in the demo of believe beauty setting spray ❤ love u ❤
Thank you! That was one from Bare Minerals! I believe it was Copper but their Topaz shade is another favorite of mine!
@@Zabrena thank you so much ♥️
Am I the first to comment? Yay
I would love for you to make me over 🥰
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I wonder how some of these would compare to setting sprays from professional makeup brands such as Kryolan, Mehron, Ben Nye, etc.
They would be great lines to review, stage makeup is underrated! Graftobian and Mehron are two of my fav lines!
- insert shameless plug of one of Zairean's recent-ish videos that features's another amazing setting spray that she didn't mention in this video - ua-cam.com/video/PKEocmAoKYk/v-deo.html
In case it's not mentioned in the above video, it has a light peach scent.
Setting spray always destroys my makeup. I will spray it down and then next thing I know it's patching up and if I even think about touching my face the foundation lifts right off my skin.
Any pointers? I'm 36 with combo skin, dehydrated, oily in the t-zone and cheeks with seborrheic dermatitis around the nose, forehead, and chin. I've started to notice some lines and pore enlargement in the typical areas that I like to conceal just a little bit.
Do you find that it leaves big drops of spray on your face? That’s my issue with a lot of setting sprays. Morphe continuous setting mist is the only one I’ve used that doesn’t do that. It comes out super fine
