"I never for a moment felt like a minority until I stepped out of my continent." Truer words have never been spoken.
I am watching this years later and still makes so much sense.
Proud of this Woman🇺🇬
“One that’s not based on struggle but progress,,,”
I loved every bit all the way
How did I land on this amazing talk? Nancy, this is so true! Thank you!!!
Wow,, this is amazing Nancy, this are more than facts, they are truths about Africa and Africans, Its time Africa took charge of its Story.
Bless your heart Nancy. We need more engagement and dialogue in order to address the narratives that divide people around the world, and we need to promote our beautiful humanity. Africa is a shining star in the world.
Loved listening to this. Go Nancy! Your light is shinning bright.
+Esther Kalenzi I loved listening to this, i downloaded, i will share with every African that prefers sharing bad photos, stories of their countries joining the people telling our story instead of us telling our own story. I see it a lot on social Media. Thank You Nancy , Am Proud of this and You.
Greatest thing that has happened to me this morning. 30th OCT 2022. such an amazing piece
Fantastic!Thank you Nancy. I'm inspired to tell my Ugandan truth.
am proud that yo #Ugandan @Nancy.. thank u. #DialogueAfrica
Quite inspiring to listen and listen good about my continent. I am moved by the fact that alot more narratives come from ourselves. Let's be part of the dialogues and write our own stories and potray the true picture of who a true African is.
Africa needs to change it's narrative. Cover our triumphs, our development progress, keep it positive in the media to inspire and give hope to the people.. We can't always constantly cover politics, negative news and all that is wrong with our individual countries. Such negative news tend to discourage and leave the people with a feeling of helplessness making it hard for the masses to think beyond their challenges.
Beautiful!
I am an Indian and I can relate to the problem very well.
The British had the same perception of India too which were small states with own distinct cultural and political identities, but united by struggle against British.
We fortunately had Gandhi whom Mandela deeply admired and South Africa was also starting point of his career. We used this struggle made being Indian as our identity. I think, the entire community should recognize this and work with cordial collaboration against any kind of exploitation Africans face today.
What a powerful delivery in your presentation Nancy.
Africa well represented
Quite an eye-opener. Well done Nancy, am sure you have inspired and will continue to inspire many people through this. Time to write our own story.
Awesome Nancy! 👏👏👏👏👏
+Christinah Korosso you brought me here. Amazing Nancy.
Am glad l stumbled into this video. You raise Valid points and l applaud you for that. thanks for standing up for a whole continent. I was born and raised in Uganda, lived there most of my life. l have also visited Kenya and currently living in Canada. l have always somebody would standup and talk about this issue because l feel like Africa has been generalized and considered a country that amounts to nothing. Western media has painted this pictures that depicts poverty, disease, and drought not forgetting a primitive culture. l would like more people to stand up and cover positive media like what l just witnessed.. My white folks need to watch this tomorrow..
I love this. I have never really identified as African. I am just Ugandan. Having to identify as African makes me feel like I am just part of a huge basket of people who look and sound the same rather than standing out. As a Ugandan I am unique and different.
Same here
wow! Nancy yo amazing!

So touching and painful to know that we moving and yet no progress .All we are great at is to Consistently blame the west.
Great Nancy
Shine on Nancy
My mind got blown🤯
Not being African, I can't connect on that level. But I already appreciate Africa, for being who they are. I love the many human cultures, the 7000 or so spoken languages we have developed over time. I really love the food. But I am certain in the fact, that humanity is all connected, and without an Africa, we would all be poorer. With each dying language, we lose part of our history. I stand for anyone that want people to connect and rise up. For those that value all lives. In the end, without learning from those that came before us, we would all be living in caves.
you made me cry???
Powerful Nancy
