I learnt how to join squares from an old lady. She is no longer around. I've got a feeling that she arised in Canton. I don't want to end up like her. However, I found her way to join squares is better. But I don't want to end up in Canton again like her. The chances are she is not reborn in Canton.😂 It's just a thought.
Hello! Thank you for this video, it helped me so much❤ I wanna ask something tho. I'm planning to make a tote bag that has 3 dimension, do you have any recommendation which join I could use to make the squares make like around 90 degrees when done? (Hope the explanation get to you😭🙏🏻)
I am making a blanket of granny squares that have appliques on alternating solid granny squares. Should I block each square before I join them, or wait until I have joined them and block the whole blanket?
The more textured joins can give a cardigan some great texture, but some of them can be a little too rigid...if that makes sense. This may impact how the cardigan drapes. I'd probably stay away from the reverse single crochet and slip stitch join for a cardigan, but the invisible seam and single crochet join might be a great place to start experimenting!
But how does it wash up?? I find alot of lion brand yarns are destroyed after you wash it. They either fade, lose shape or look so pilled that it looks old
I would be better (for me) if the tutor can state for different methods, mention : put granny square face to face or reverse side of square facing outwards etc. Thyou
You have no idea how much I appreciate this tutorial 🙏
Thank you so much for explaining everything so clearly and helping me understand .
It’s the joining squares together that gets me every time.😫

hello! are there methods to join squares creating a thick border? like 2 cm of spacing? :)
Excellent advice 🫶
Question: when you're joining squares do you also sew the chain 2 horizontally or do you join 1 chain horizontally THEN the other vertically?
Which one would you recommend for a tote bag?

For smaller projects it’s usually ok to block after but with a blanket I personally would do them individually first
Thank this was a big help.
Thank you for sharing. Pls how do I knot the yarn at both ends after joining with invisible stitches?
good tutorial for beginners like me. But I was looking for the tutorial link for the blue granny square handbag.
Can I use these methods for regular squares too?
Yes you can! They'll work with motifs of all shapes 👍
This is great, ❤thanks
Thank you, sweet lady.
Thanks for sharing
Thankyou for tutorial

@@bhookedcrochet thank you. I will try the single crochet.
Here for the zig zag lol
Do you crochet a border on your granny square blanket?
Thanks 😊
Any way to join squares that aren’t all the same or exactly the same size?
@everthingstitchingandcats also makes great crocheting videos like yours. I love videos like this!
Can you show the reverse side of the projrct after you join?
But how does it wash up?? I find alot of lion brand yarns are destroyed after you wash it. They either fade, lose shape or look so pilled that it looks old
Really love the crab stitch one…..but could not find example of how to cross over the intersections
I usually just work right over top of the stitches, working in the chain two spaces 👍
Thanks great ❤️♥️💐🌹🤗🙏🤩⭐️🤩⭐️🤩⭐️🤩⭐️🤩⭐️🤩
I like how she actually explains it but doesn’t show how to do the inside corners
