I played it like in 3018 or something, and it was a blast! I think i had like a samsung s6 or s8 back then, and it was flawless. There were like 30 really good apps you could download, and i personally would spend hours on it until i had eye strain / the headset hurt. It was such an amazing experience. It is unfortunate how they ended it. It was truly ahead of its time.
I have one and a galaxy S9, I feel it is an misunderstood product that I have been able to enjoy and I continue to use it sometimes, there exist games that only came out on this platform on the other hand is very portable and easy to use and costs much less than a normal VR headset, I know they are different but for simple use I think it is really good a product with a lot of potential with very little support and that sadly failed, a nice experience that very few enjoye
Yeah it seems like a product like this should do really well, it’s hard to understand why they didnt catch on. The jump from this type of thing to a full VR headset is huge!
I’m not sure if you can use it on every android phone but I googled ‘Daydream VR APK’ and then looked at the comments to make sure it wasn’t a scam. Worth a try if it’s not on your main phone.
@@HACKEADOPELOCHUCHI it’s not worth getting to be honest, I’d personally try one of the ones you can get on Amazon over this. This is fun to play about with though, just don’t expect to get a lot out of it.
i've a gear vr and i thought it was cool. shame they deprecated daydream. wonder if those amazon ones work for generic smartphones and aren't locked in
no but you can bypass it you will need to install Google daydream and Google vr services and somehow bypass the unsupported screen through a developer setting

I'm using the daydream on my google pixel 7 pro. I love it. I know it is discontinued but I download APKs.
I was wondering if it works well with modern phones
@@CODDE117 I'd just get a Meta Quest 2 or Valve Index

@@tufailhassan2626 what.
I was hoping I could use the GoPro app to stream from a GoPro and then output onto the screen to view in the daydream. I don't think this is possible.
