Glad you did some research, but it is incomplete. The Mini 4K and the Specta Mini, is made in Malaysia to save money. They are both marketed as beginner drones, that's why they are cheaper. 4K 60 is not available until you get to drones like the Mini 4 Pro. If the Mini 4K had 4K 60, then that would interfere with DJI's marketing. The Specta Mini also has a 4K camera and uses the same body as the Mini 2, but the DJI batteries and controller are not compatible. The controller that comes with the Mini 4K is the RCN1C, and it has only half the battery life of the RCN1 that comes with the Mini 2, hence the weight difference. The RCN1 controller from the Mini 2 is also compatible with the Mini 4K. The Mini 2 is no longer available anywhere. They have replaced it with a cheaper model, the Mini 4K, at a lower price point in order to attract introductory and first-time buyers/beginners. It was never intended to be an upgrade to the Mini 2. In fact, it is a slight downgrade with the controller having less batteries. The drone itself, however, is every bit as good as the Mini 2. Have a nice day!
The mini two and the mini 4K really aren’t meant to fly at night. The picture quality is just not there. There’s not a big enough lens to let more light and it’s a really hard to navigate at night. If you wanna Nightfly minimum buy the mini three pro, that drone does very well at night the mini 4 Pro, is an absolute beast at night with the night mode
The Mini 3 is the true successor to the Mini 2. The Mini 2SE and Mini 4K was created to plug the lower end gap that is being filled by competitor brands. Using the Mini 2 as the platform for the new lower end model makes sense as it does not require development cost and could be brought to the market quicker.
The mini2 drone was released in 2020. It is not seven years old but it is a great drone. . there is only one battery in the mini 4K controller when there’s two batteries in the mini two controller that’s why there’s a difference in weight the mini two 4K it’s just the mini 2SE body with the mini 2 internals
I believe the price difference is only 100 dollar difference. Don't quote me on that. Personally the cheapest way is to go for the dji mini 2 fly more combo. for price and affordability. You'll get three batteries, extra supplies, and a carrying bag to start your journey. Now, it is discontinued, and they just moved over to the mini 4k. It is the same drone and you can get the fly more kit, and it costs just I believe 75 more than the mini 2. if you want best of the best I strongly recommend the mini 3. Better specs, better performance, better controller with screen, but you will be paying more for the drone. Anything else you have questions on, don't hesitate to ask.
I would go with the mini 3 all day. It really is quite an upgrade in the camera department and the flight characteristics are much different but I still love them both and I fly them both.
The mini 2 is currently £439 on Amazon compared to the mini 4k which is £269. So the 4k is alot cheaper. Both come with the controller that you clamp your phone into. Both have the same transmission distance of 10km (despite you saying that the 4k and 2se has less). As you stated, dji no longer make the mini 2. They made the 2se (£249) which was the same as the mini 2, but comes with a 2.7k camera and is missing the front LED and data transfer button. The mini 4k is the same as the mini 2se but has a 4k camera. The body they used is the mini 2 se as they no longer manufacture the mini 2. Again, this drone is missing the front LED and data transfer. In all fairness, I think its a good trade off. I don't mess about with file transfer over wifi, i just eject the card and pop it in my phone tablet or pc. I then create a video, loaded straight from the videos on the sd card without copying them all across and wasting space. Not sure how useful the front LED is but I'm not convinced its worth £170. 🤷♂️ As you have probably used the mini 4k by now, I am interested to know what the mini 2 does better?
That’s why DJI posted it on amazon only. You can easily find a like new or even brand new sealed mini 2 fly more combo on ebay or market place for 300. Also, in Costco the mini 3 was sometimes down to 350. Of course you can say I’m one of many people who hate this marketing scam 🤣
DJI doesn't specialize in refurbished drones. You can get one from Amazon, and I have bought Refurbished drones from there before and never had an issue.
Side-by-side the mini 2 still has a much better picture the mini 4K has brighter color, which makes you believe it’s a better picture, but it’s not, especially for editing, and the mini 4K has a darker image than the mini 2 mini to still has a better camera side-by-side no doubt I own them both
The Mini 4k controller only works with the Mini 4k it will not work with the Mini 2 or Mini 2se being that the Mini 2 has been discontinued your better off getting the Mini 4k and the cost is cheaper

I came to watch the video after seeing your feedback in amazon 😂cheers mate✌✌✌
Crazy. I ordered mine off Amazon tonight. Returning it to get the mini 3
Exactly. The mini three is way better

In your opinion! Se is a great drone!!!
Just looked on Amazon here in the UK and the mini 2 seems to be only offered in the combo package but it’s about 60% more money?

the controller only has one battery in it instead of 2 so the battery doesn't last as long

Bro how much is the price difference between mini 4k and mini 3 which is best for beginner and cheapest way to buy

Do dji refurbished drones are good from dji usa offical app
DJI doesn't specialize in refurbished drones. You can get one from Amazon, and I have bought Refurbished drones from there before and never had an issue.
They’re refurbished. Products are just like new Well worth the savings
The mini 4K drone for 299 was made just to squash the other competitors drones that are 299
Any one know if the original mini 1 batteries will work in the new 4k ?
Not sure on that but, I do know the batteries for the mini 2, 2SE, and Mini 4K are the same batteries.
perfectly work. checked it today
@@ermekz9740 Nice!!!
The mini 4K doesn't have the advanced gimble settings either.
4k was made for online sales like ebay and amazon.... the mini 2 was in retail stores.. they are the same minus your light . thats all

As soon as I received my mini 4k, I binded it to my Mini 2 Controller. Now that I have 4 batteries, the bigger battery pack matters.
@@ParodyGuy2024 Did you try to bind your Mini 2 drone to the Mini 4k controller
@@brucedon1951 Yes and that is a no go funny enough.
