- Link below. Talking about the atmospheric aspects of the horror films like the Omen, The Medusa Touch, or the Bight Stalker TV series all made in the 1970s, as well as a quick impressions discussion on “The Three Body Problem” (spoiler alert, I don’t like it).

Good Afternoon 😊 Nice Pipe and tobacco 👏🏼 Movies from that time had a different class of producing 👍🏼 Thanks for the chat and sharing 💯 Have a blessed Sunday 🙏🏽 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Happy Sunday, Mike, et al. !!! Nice pipe! "Kolshak: The Night Stalker " RULED! Great show. Hope you enjoy the Phillies' game and whatever else you do today!
Hope my fellow viewers do the same.
Happy puffing !!!
I have always had the same opinion about Hammer Horror movies in particular. Such a rich atmosphere and I love the details in the European villages, and castles. Praying for your wife, friend.
Keep em classic, Outer Limits, Twighlight Zone, Creature from Blk Lagoon!!!!🤜🏻💥🤛🏻
Love those old films!
This video is right up my alley! Love the 70s horror movies, been watching them like crazy lately. So much scarier IMO. Been thinking about doin some vids as well on this. Well done! The sentinel, salems lot, carrie, suspiria!
Mike, You know me so well you rascal you!! I could not agree with you more. I was saying the same thing to myself last week, and have been binging Night Stalker and Columbo episodes. I am a Burton fan and will check that movie out. Just subscibed to Newcastle. There is another channel I watch that has the same genre of movies like Vincent Price and Hammer horror called Creature Features. They have interviews with remaining folks that were part of the film when possible. They make it like the Elvira or Svengoolie show. Those films were pure horror and suspense. No political or social message, no directors trying to be clever. I mean sometimes at the end you find out none of it happened 😂😂. No bar set anymore, too many and too mediocre, everybody gets a trophy and a movie 😂😂🤢. All the best to your wife and you of course! 🙏👍👊😎🪙🐖🧛♂️🧟♂️
Mark, you took the bait! 😂😂👍
You will have to let me know what you think of The Medusa Touch. And I will check out Creature Feature for sure. Thanks buddy😉👍
@@CaneRodPiper Haha! I would probably walk into a burning building if I saw the Nightstalker playing 🤣🤣🤣
Loved Lee Remick, No Way To Treat A Lady with George Segal and Rod Steiger as a deranged murderer is one of her best roles. If you haven't seen it Mike it is quite entertaining, George Segal has a "Jewish Mother" with all the stereotypes that goes with that image and Remick plays her like a violin in order to convince mom that she is worthy of mom's boy George Segal. As you probably know Lee Remick left us way too early, a cancer victim. Keep puffin.
Working on a 6 ft. Bar that im converting to a pipe display, talk about recycling!.
There is something different about those movies. The Omen and Changeling were great. I'll check out the channel.
It's unfortunate that some shows and movies are ruined with overly obvious messaging. It seems we have lost the art of subtlety
Good afternoon Mike happy Sunday I also like those movies from that Era they were very classic and true Acting by the performers it had depth of feeling I don't like gorey movies with alot of blood and Guts and thi g of that sort I like more classic films of the 40s 50s I just enjoy them more I could never look at he'll raiser not my type of movie I will definitely be saying a Rosary for your wife Mike🙏🙏🙏 I'm smoking some SPILMAN'S MIXTURE BY E HOFFMAN COMPANY in my new Estate pipe peterson Kinsale full bent XL12 shape SMOOTH FINISH HAVE A GREAT DAY MIKE😃👋🔥💨☕🙏
60’s Sci-Fi, ❤
We’ll pray for sure! Believing for good reports!
Ya, this is not the genre I would watch. All the streaming services have ruined main stream T.V. Covid and the writers strike hasn't helped. As a projectionist I have noticed a big drop in the quality of movies coming to theatres. I think most of the big production companies are focusing on getting their shows and movies on streaming venues ...... i think that is where the money is now. This is very apparent to me because since covid restrictions were lifted i have seen a huge drop in attendance at our theatre. When covid hit people couldn't go out so they subscribed to Netflix and the like and now they are staying home and watching there instead of going to the theatre.
Would be nice to pist pictures here
There is a great pipe community on Instagram and a lot of crossover with the YTPC. If you want to post pictures, you really should check that out.
We have so mant great actors/actress but Hollywood cant put together a real movie.
Slashers have been so overdone that the only way to top the last one is with more boobs and creatively torturous kills. I’m more drawn to movies that are scary because they could really happen…think Kathy Bates in Misery.
I detest horror films after my stunt in the military, but Hellraiser wasn't horrible. That's about my limit anymore and I wouldn't watch Hellraiser or Friday the 13th type movies again. Three Body problem, like ALL movies now- the male roles are emasculated
