Rondo doesn't play defense, he can't shoot, can't shoot free throws, he only gets assist because he holds the ball to long, he is useless when he plays with ball dominant players or in a system (dallas) where no one is to hold the ball too long. Rondo assist numbers are mycareer stats where you just hold the ball whole game and pass the ball with 5 secs left on clock.

Shannon Blair Rondo acts like he's some type of Hall of Fame player but he's nowhere near that good and never was. He needs to thank the Big 3 for making him relevant in the NBA because if he didn't play with them nobody would know him and he probably would've been playing in China years ago. Rondo let that championship ring + some individual success get to his head.

God no. The Cavs are a jumpshooting team, they can't function with a guard who can't shoot consistently, never mind a guard who can barely make his free throws. And they don't need a ball dominant point guard with LeBron there. Cavs need a scorer/shooter off the bench or more rim protecting presence.

They both love to dominate the ball. And they're both incredible at finding the open man. But, they both need shooters around them. And neither of them would be classified as shooters. LeBron has a great cast, why mess it up?

True, but I would be scared to do it because in this situation, he would be a backup (which he probably doesn't like). He already has had a history of being a cancer to locker rooms, plus him being a backup, with three stars that are bigger than him (just like in Boston). It just is a formula for a bad situation. Charmers is the safer choice.

Now that i got that out of the way i can say that as much as i would love to see Rondo out of the bench and orchestrating the offense, it doensn't make much sense since he's been a problem everywhere he goes.

If Rondo doesn't mind being obedient to James as the backup playmaker off the bench on a championship team, I can see this going well. Not sure where Rondo's ego is at now, but they did have history, he used to dislike LeBron a lot and said "I would never play for the Heat" and such, but maybe he's moved past that seeing where his career is now.
As much as I'd like to see it, if I'm the GM I still don't think its worth to the risk, just sign Mario Chalmers and find a playmaker in another position. One that can defend moderately, reliably hit his FTs and most of create the plays needed would be nice.

The only thing the Cavs need really is a point guard whose a great defender who can somewhat score. Liggins is the defensive presence they need to handle curry but he needs to develop more on the other end.
