When Becca sang at the end, she sang a song from the movie he was begging her to watch so that’s why he was all sentimental
and her doing it was her olive branch to him...her big act of love equal to like....holding the boombox over the head in "say anything" for example. it was def. a throwback to not just breakfast club but to the 80s movies that would feature a final act proclimation of love

Yup. She also sang the demo. All Rihanna had to do was come into the studio and sing the melody that was already there. I personally like Ester’s version more.
I know they said on the DVD commentary that they actually chose that song before casting Esther Dean. It's cool to hear her sing it herself.

I remember when this movie first came out. It looked a bit cringe but i actually really loved it. The sequels go a bit off the rails but this one has become pretty classic. 10/10
LOL I had similar thoughts, like, "I bet this is some bs comedy" but it was actually funny as hell
I thought the 2nd was brilliant but the third was a complete waste of time
It was the best pleasant surprise because I had no idea about anything prior to stumbling upon it the week it was released and just gae it a go because the cast is great and then you can feel you're watching omething that'l have so much rewatchability and more and more people are gonna love it. It felt like one of those where people recommended it to you because they were pleasantly surprised so had to get someone else to watch and have the same surprise. I remeber it did just fine nothing specal at first but all of a sudden it blew up and the cast were hosting the mtv movie awards and sequels were greenlit. Must have been a whiplash for those who made it though I'm not sure they would have gone into it expecting to see demands for sequels lol. I remeber them all saying a lot of preparation was done before fiming the first which we'd later see videos of.

for me the 2nd one is my favorite, the 1st one after and the last one was increddibly chaotic and so random, but still love the songs

Fun fact: all of the actors did an acapella boot camp prior to filming that was like a crazy amount of weeks and then did the final number for the crew before they went to filming!!
A bunch of the actors are also Broadway actors/have a background in musical theatre.
Cardio is meant to build lung capacity and overall health, because that equals to better singing. Singing is about using the whole body, not just the vocal cords.
Especially the core. So much of a singer's range comes from the diaphragm.
Exactly which is why so many artist move around to keep their body loose and to keep from straining their voice
Not to mention that they dance while singing so they really need to be on top with their cardio.

I love how benji became close with all of them and even started helping during the shows just to support his pals even though he was rejected by bumper. The girls should’ve taken him tbh.

My dad would roll his eyes when he came home from work because my sisters and I were always watching this movie back in the day. We finally convinced him watch it one time. After that, I would periodically catch him watching this movie by himself in his room, lmfao!!!
He loved watching movies. We would go watch movies or “rent” as a family all the time. Pitch Perfect 2 was actually the last movie we ever watched together in the theatre before he unexpectedly passed away. These movies are great, the music slaps, and the characters are epic💖😎
You should definitely watch the other two films, their songs are just as good if not better

Such a legendary movie. It's like The Princess Bride in that you wouldn't expect to like it if someone described it to you but you just have to trust them.
I love the 3 Pitch Perfect movies with all my heart. I love music films and comedies. Its just perfect😊
Breath control is still important in a capella, hence the cardio for lung capacity and agility (ie taking small quick breaths to hold a long note with minimal interruptions)
The second is definitely worth watching, so I really recommend it for a reaction. The third though, well, maybe only for the songs, cause it is definitely not the strongest in this trilogy :D Thanks for the video, as always you are awesome!

2nd is my favorite. It hits the right amount of more is more. 3rd is a hot mess, but is reaction worthy. Let's just say there's a girl group called

this has always unironically been one of my favourite movies, for the nostalgia. the rest of the movies in the series, i don't like (because they go against everything set up in the first movie), but this one will always mean a lot to me. i know most of the acapella and different song versions from the movie by heart. i was part of the choir of my high school and one of my favourite moments was when we were preparing for a performance in a room altogether and one of them started singing no diggity (but pitch perfect version) under her breath, and i heard her and joined in right at the moment amy joined in with becca in the movie, and then we both smiled at each other. good times.
I enjoyed the other two fine but the first one is def the best

If you're interested in checking out how good a capella music is, some groups to look into are Home Free, VoicePlay, Citizen Queen, and Pentatonix. They actually brought Pentatonix in for a cameo at the end of Pitch Perfect 2 because of how influential and innovative they have been in bringing a capella to the mainstream.

Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, and Ben Platt were all musical theater kids before this movie. Kendrick was nominated for a Tony for High Society. Astin was in the original Broadway cast of Spring Awakening. Platt won a Tony in 2016 (post Pitch Perfect) for Dear Evan Hansen.
I knew an A Capella fan who was absolutely insane about it. She went to all the live performances in the three surrounding states. She wasn’t mean, though, at least not in the context I knew her. But wow she was fixated lol

You should definitely do the sequels. They’re worth it just for the music but are still lots of fun.
For the riff off they had to not only match the word but also pick a song on theme. For example “Songs about sex” was picked so they sang songs about sex. Once someone lost they’d pick a new theme.

My wife has watched this no less that 3209 times so I've definitely seen the entire movie as I walk by the TV, just never the entire thing at once.
This is literally my comfort movie 😭 i can watch this twice a day i literally never get tired of it, especially the last 2 performances

I love this film so much, watched it in the cinema and since then at least once a year. Also Breakfast Club is one of my fav films, the soundtrack is just iconic.
The cup game was something that someone caught Anna Kendrick doing in between filming, and they just added it in

This is one of my favorites I was a freshman in college when this came out. Such great memories and super relatable, always a movie I watch just to have a laugh. Definitely watch the sequels they are also great.

A few is an under statement. Ester dean made some of the most popular songs known to the 2010s most notably many rihanna songs and many reached the top 40s

When I first watched this, it was a surprise for me. It was a lot more fun than I expected. 2 and 3 are pretty good too so they're definitely worth the watch as well

So Becca cried because Jessie gave her breakfast Club (the movie) and she was hurt and regretted everything she said and then she sang Dont You (Foregt about me) (End theme from breakfast Club) at the finals to show Jessie that she still cared about him, its my favourite detail
The first tine i watched this was at a house party. A bunch of people were asleep in the living room and only a few of us were awake, including the girl whose house it was so we watched this on her projector. It was such a fun night. I also am ashamed to say i was part of a flash mob that did the cup song in a school cafeteria in Germany 😂🙈

I will never forget my sister taking me to this movie when I was 12, I don’t even think I saw a trailer. She was just like “let’s go to a movie! It’s about people in university singing” and I was immediately sold. I had never seen a non-children’s movie that wasn’t horror prior to it, so I was shocked but it became my favorite 😭
By far my favourite chick flick, and you 100% need to watch breakfast club, and yes it’s a sad film but a great film, hard to make a reaction video out of it tho because it’s all dialogue

I loved how everybody in the Bellas and the audience was enjoyng themselfs including Beca during turn the beat around while Aubrey looked at Amy in disgust
There are three films, the end credit scene of the second film is probably the best Silly seen I've seen in a comedy film, so many people don't show it in their reactions, I still think that out of the three films this one is probably the best but the other two are also just as funny and crazy, especially the third one!

The rift off is you have to sing songs in the category chosen and cut other groups off by swapping songs still in the category. But you have to cut them off on the same word from the old song to the new one.
