And it doesn't do what they make it seem like here - it usually reduces your range and you won't be able to do what you used to vocally, let alone doing anything new like Chloe does here
@@realSimoneCheriethat's exactly right. I had nodes as a kid when I was going to a performing arts school and also performing outside of school. I didn't find it painful, but I had to go on vocal test for 3 months - literally, carried a pen and paper or dry erase board around with me everywhere and had to go for speech therapy. I didn't have surgery - just rest and therapy and they went away. But I've never been able to sing they way I used to. I have no range whatsoever. And this was in, like, 1995!
It's always killed me that Darth Vader was such a huge reveal. 'Vader' is the Dutch word for 'father', so when I heard I was like 'yeah that checks' xD
Also my sympathies for you watching the Vampire Diaries. I used to be obsessed, met most of the cast, but I would never ever tell anyone now to watch it. (I also apologize for all the comments kjahsdf)
You mentioned the guy playing Benji (the magic man) had a great voice - fun fact, he’s actually a Broadway star! He was the original star of Dear Evan Hansen, if I remember correct
Fun fact: Everytime Anna Kendrick sang alone, she was singing live on set. She said in an interview "something sounds off in studio, so I preferred to sing live". If you wanted to react to the second Pitch Perfect movie, it has an end credit scene, don't forget to check that out
Nodes, the vocal nodules, are actually part of the reason that Julie Andrews lost some of her iconic range, if you compare some of her earlier iconic work and/or live performances, to some of her in her older years (Princess Diaries 2 is one that comes to mind). In 1977 she noticed some issues, and subsequently underwent surgery to fix or remove them, the node surgery itself damaged her vocal chords irreparably. She's still got an amazing voice, but it did sadly change her voice forever.
Check out pentatonix. They are the best. I've never heard a cover that isn't an upgrade, and their original music is awesome. The evolution videos are awesome. I hope you react, I would live to see it.
the riff off isn’t about sounding good or bad, the first word of ur song has to be the same as the last word they sing before you start singing, the first girl got cut off because she matched their last word with “ayy” which is not an actual word and was not the last word they sang
If you’re cool with a lot of hilarious shenanigans and hijinks, then you should check out the next two. They’re completely absurd and it’s fantastic, lol. A lot of comedy and a lot of jams. 🎶❤
Oh and by the way actresses of the redhead and the main character wanted them to become a couple but by that time they didnt get it through but they still tried to play a bit off of that
I was born in 2002 and I share the same sentiment as you do. Bruno Mars is one of the GREATEST vocalist out there. Everytime he came back, he ate those up
Ester Dean is in this she is a Grammy nominated song writer. She’s the black girl, she’s written rude boi for Rihanna, she’s written for Beyoncé and many others.
The song 'Bright Lights, Bigger City' performed by the Trebble Makers is by Ceelo Green. I never heard of the song either before watching this movie, then fell in love with it 😅
You're not the only one who thinks of Supernatural every time "Carry on My Wayward Son" plays... I thought I was the only one.. 😂😂 Also, nodes suck. Had them 25 years ago and swear my voice has never recovered. Have never seen Pitch Perfect 3 or Breakfast Club (a sin for an 80's baby) and look forward to watching them for the first time with you because you're HILARIOUS!!! (Have seen Pitch Perfect 2. You would love it!) I commented on your reaction to Hamilton and suggested that you watch "Lost/Found" performed by Lin Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt. Ben Platt was Jesse's roommate in this movie, the Star Wars boy. I'm a proud ginger and we're awesome. I think maybe people just get pissed because we steal souls..?? 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Lastly, sorry you're going through it and happy the movie took you out of it. Your positivity is so amazing -- and one of the things I love about your reactions. Keep doing what you do. 😊😊
I only just saw the pitch perfect movies for the first time last month. I was also instantly hooked. They're really fun and I think all three movies are worth watching. My favorite song lineup is the third movie.
The humor in Pitch Perfect isn't for me, but the singing itself? Love it. And I enjoy watching reactions like yours. I might not like the comedy myself, but I enjoy seeing other people enjoy it. Also, I appreciate how your reactions focuses on... well, your reaction. Doesn't feel like you're just doing the bare minimum to avoid copyright strikes.
The cups song is a thing we did in the lunch room in middle school, you would do one iteration and pass your cup to the right and there were a handful of songs you would sing over them
The dude he said has a good voice at 34:30 is literally Ben Platt, an amazing Tony award winning actor and singer on both the screen and stage. And he originated the role of Even from dear even Hanson on broadway and played him in the movie version too.
You seem like a very kind, genuine, and beautiful human being. your singing is ON POINT and your videos make my day. The haters are just hating because you’re better than them and they’re jealous. Keep doing you and whatever you’re going through, I hope it gets better :)
The way this came out during middle school and we all were saying aca scuse me. The second and third ones get even more unhinged honestly! Snoop Dog and DJ Khaled both make cameos
I love the first two movies. The third one isn't bad, it's just a different vibe from the first two. I think I like it as a movie but kind of dislike it as the finale to this series. It is absolutely worth a watch though, the music compilations are just as good as they are in the first two!
I watch this like 1,000 times today because how much I loved it cause when my mom showed me the movie I just fell in love with the movie and I don't know why don't ask questions or else you would die
I just re-watched Pitch Perfect yesterday and found this video. I just subscribed cause of how much fun this video was. Don't stop making these reaction vids. Thanks bro.
Rarely do a second and third hold up to an original, but they’re still good and absolutely worth the watch/reaction. 2nd is pretty damn good and 3rd isn’t great, but it’s a good wrap up to the trilogy
This movie came out when I was in elementary school and in elementary school because the cup song was so popular we had to learn the cup song in music class in elementary school I couldn't do it with a cup but I can do it with just my hands
I love all the Pitch Perfect movies and have even watched the first season of Bumper in Berlin..which was awesome and hope it's picked up for season 2...great react and prayers things get better and settle down for you 🙏
Speech pathologist here. Vocal nodules can grow on the vocal chords from overuse or misuse, as well as what's called poor vocal hygiene, but with vocal rest and changing certain habits they can go away as they are not permanent. Their evil cousin, vocal polyps, need to be removed as those will not go away on their own. If not removed, thats when you hear a raspy hoarse voice since the vocal chords can't fully close. Both of these would limit the vocal range (as Chloe mentioned for her upper register) and not extend it (her "bass") but for the film its just a fun way to cap off that piece of the story line.
Historically in a lot of places including the Middle East and Europe, gingers were considered marked by the devil. Redheads were more often accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake, etc. It eventually turned into generic making fun of gingers over the centuries that followed. Source: am ginger

And on the third movies, others might disagree with me but I don’t really care for it or think the songs are as good as the first and second. Yes, nodes are real. Soft nodes are callouses that will go away on their own. Hard nodes is when they turn into scar tissue and it won't ever get better. Mariah Carey has hard nodes. It makes your voice more unpredictable as you age. It makes inflammation a bigger problem too.
37:48 Gingers represent 1-2% of the world population. It's always easier to make fun (or distrust) people in the minority. It's just a thing humans do, sadly. Historically, red hair is a trait found in northern Europe (Scotland) where the people were viewed as uncivilized, uneducated and barbaric by the rest of Europe. Fun fact: the actress that played Cynthia Rose wrote ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ and ‘S&M’
She wrote s&m but not since u been gone. That was by Max Martin... & Dr Luke(🤢)
She wrote & has vocals on chorus of superbass by Nicki Minaj though

Aren’t nodes there reason Julie Andrews stopped singing (for the most part)?
I always loved Pitch Perfect - its awkward, it is weird but the quality of the singers and remixes and all is phenomenal

When the Asian girl says “do you guys wanna see a dead body?” It’s a reference to the movie stand by me. Also a very good movie
Totally agree about Bruno Mars being the best male vocalist of our generation, dude is an amazing talent
Pentatonix is a group that actually does music like this. They have albums
They also show up in the sequel as the Canadian group!
