Maybe the family would be sad or whatever, but people die all the time and things just keep on going. It’s not the end of the world. But killing the empress wasn’t just another mega rich aristocrat being taken out. Murdering the evil elite of a society is one thing, being partially responsible for hundreds of thousands of common people suffering horribly and dying is another. When you see the horrific effects of your actions every single day, it’s much harder to ignore than the fact that some noble is no longer walking about.
One thing you didn’t mention is that Lizzie Stride has a horrific rap sheet, including killing two people *when she was a child*, killing many others as a gang leader, biting a mans ear off, gang warfare, and many, many counts of theft. But she has a boat you need to borrow, so you overlook these crimes. You are a good person.
