Love the Dishonored franchise! The Mediterranean vibe around Karnaca is fantastic. When Billie is staking out the Royal Conservatory, you can *feel* the evening heat. (I think Emily went there in the daytime). But I had to turn the music off during the Bank Heist. The repetitious strings got on my nerves. Yet the music for the whole franchise is fantastic - Daniel Licht got the tone exactly right.

Another DOTO reviewer that shows Daud stealing the portrait of the Outsier if you don't, but not mentioning it. 0/10, most important part of the game. i kid; i'm glad to see another review of DOTO. Always good to hear another angle on the series!

Duke Nukem Forever is what happens when you make a game based on surface level details from it's predecessor. Believe it or not, there's a LOT more going on in Duke Nukem 3D than just the humor, but it's like Duke Forever forgets all of that and just ups the ante on the shallow, surface level stuff.

I will never get tired of people making videos about why DNF 2011 just doesn’t work as a quote on quote ‘revival’. I don’t blame you for giving up 3/4 of the way through the game, it does seem like a real slog to get through. In addition, seeing you list the best video game sequels (statistically) really put into perspective how far behind and outdated DNF was mechanically and gameplay wise, it’s really sad because Duke does deserve an equivalent to Doom 2016.

I beg to differ this game is actually a secret comedy sketch and is actually a amazing shooter that I totally didn’t waste 60 hours on 100%ing on steam so now I’m coping by saying it’s good to hide the shame. (But unironically it actually has some fun gunplay if you play with the physics and know how to get the most out of your game, shrink ray sections will always suck tho)

I'm half with you on this video about Duke nukem forever being one of the worst sequels to a video game out there.... But if I may concur with an alternative, Postal III. The first postal game was a shock horror isometric shooter game that wasn't that good but made a splash because it's violent. And oh my gosh. The second one was....... Yeah..... As The story goes about the third one, the original developers running with scissors is a very small American developer from Arizona and wish to make a really good sequel. So I hired out contractors from Russia to try and swing above the weight to get him good product, only for the economic crash to happen and Russia screwing them out of a good sequel. At least number four is out and they're doing it in house and it's turning out to be a very good game.

Devil May Cry 2. I had far more fun with DNF (which is still admittedly very little) than the absolute abomination that was DMC2.

DNF hurts me for the same reasons Banjo Kazooie: Nuts n' Bolts hurt me. Years of waiting for a sequel, only to be met with even more years of disappointment.

Bad taste is fine - bad taste can be hilarious! I got this game in a sale, and played for a while, but when it went from bad taste to actively nasty and unpleasant, I had to pack it in. Getting bad taste right is a balancing act, and it takes skill to keep the tone light, and not be just obnoxious for the sake of it. The devs lacked that skill.

I actually kind of liked the game, it had many flaws but it reminded me of FPS games of old and I'd take it over COD any day. I wouldn't say it was the worst sequel though considering no one expected it to be good, so much time had passed and most Duke games sucked apart from 3D. Games like COD3, Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness, Mass Effect Andromeda and THPS5 are far worse sequels relatively speaking.

Corvo wasn't high-chaos canonically, but there is one instance in the canon book where he loses his shit and stops being (mostly) stealthy and non-lethal: While rescuing Emily from the whorehouse. Because it's his daughter, and he doesn't have the composure to keep himself calm while thinking of her daughter in danger. It makes perfect sense that he'd kill people in the throneroom attack.

Noooooo I just got the bad ending and that also sucked. The outsider just kept popping in to go tisk tisk i am judgeing you. You didn't need to make a pile of skulls in the last level corvo.

Lol I never realised how quickly the story falls apart. Well, to me the game was just a tale of revenge where you choose to kill or torture.

Masterpiece franchise

Delighlah is a cringey OC the second game is fun but the writing is garbage.

Dishonored 2 is better because you get to play as one of the two hotest people in the empire. Also Emily's outfit is so incredibly based. Also the Clockwork Mansion and Crack in the Slab might be two of my favorite video game levels alongside Effect and Cause.

The Outsider is very neutral but he drops a lot of powers into people like 3 times lmao Not in fact 4 Corvo (1 game) Emily Empress And the DLC i think with the black woman (not sure if the powers are granted by him)

I feel bad this is the PEAK OF ARKANE (or maybe Prey 2017 not sure) I dont feel Deadloop is good, in fact, looks like Dishonored 1.5 with multiplayer Is a shame they are dead as devs
