Sunday! Weekly Update! Anet released the final of 3 spear previews and live streamed every single spear ability coming on August 20, when the Janthir Wild expansion releases! If you don't want to wait that long, then you can try out all new abilities during the June 27-30 beta.
This week's edition is all about spears and spear skins!! There's a few profitable spears to craft such as Carcharias and Kamohoali'i Kotaki, but those aren't the only ones! I'll share 2 more than will net you 60-70 gold of profit in the Mystic Force.
Those recipes do require Globs of Ectoplasm, which has been a staple of every week ahead. Buying Rares on the Trading Post might not be the best idea, but you can farm them! If you do have a surplus of ectos, don't sell them! There are much better and more profitable options!
This also marks the final 2 months of the Secrets of the Obscure expansion, so let's farm the metas for a while longer. You can still make about 10 gold profit by crafting any of the weapons requiring map currencies, so doing all 3 SotO metas daily will set you up with the gold you need for the next expansion!

Do keep in mind that the price of boxes for four winds are different each year in price. Right now (the time this video was made), the cheapest is around 7s. However the prices on the merchant are adjusted per year and are usually around on average 10s per box. If they continue this trend, then we could be looking at 4 boxes per 1 ecto, or 2 boxes per 1 dust.
True! Last year I kind of got caught off guard that way.
I'll still limit myself to the ones I've "prepared" for, although I might eventually do some last minute spending.
It blows my mind that people buy the storm/consecrated weapons, I guess they are just impatient?

I would've thought those profits would've shrunk down completely, but here we are almost a year later.
I bought mine for provisioner tokens. Not gonna use main currency that I need for obby armor to craft these for provisioner tokens when I can just buy them. May not be the most efficient and it’s definitely impatient, but the obby armor grind is already long enough

My current ingame dilemma others may relate to.
Mystic Clovers stop the momentum of collecting Legendary Mats like the moment a jet powered sled meets a steel reinforced 3 feet (meter) thick, brick wall.
Am I missing information or is there just no non-tedious way to get them?
The question is for the community.
If you do Fractals, Strikes, or Raids, you can get weekly Clovers at a discount up to a limit. There's also the 20 per season from the Wizard's Vault. Beyond that, afaik forging them is the best way to go, unfortunately.
As Sheena mentioned, there's a fixed amount you can get painlessly, but then it becomes a material sink that gets worse the more you want to speed up progress.
