- Cleaning your caravan's fresh water system is recommended at least once a season, however depending on how often you use the caravan more regular cleaning might be better.
In this video, I attempt to go through the various products on the market to get a better understanding of which are better suited for use with caravans and show you how to use puriclean in a caravan

When doing waste pipes, I pop a couple of wine makers corks in outlets to hold water for desired time and it works a treat.
Good tip!
Very useful thank you😊
Glad it was helpful!
Hi i use Puriclean at the start and end of season, grey waste pipe i just flash it out with the freshwater😁 the toilet at the end of season i wash it out bleach and leave for sometime then rinse then use disinfectant i do this with all the sinks not had any problems with my system but everybody as their own methods.
Sounds like a good method to me!
I use Puriclean at beginning and end of season and in between if the van has been standing a while or if the weather has been hot like that period last year,I also blow the water pipes through after every trip away, while I’m away I use Aqua Sol every time I refresh the water,to stop the traces of white powdery bits I mix the Puriclean in cups with boiling water to dissolve all the powder then add to water barrel and flush through system, might sound long winded but it works for me and you have to be careful with kids in the van, last thing you want is bad bellies.
Thank you done our 2011 caravan don’t think it’s ever been done
Thanks for watching, glad you found it helpful.
We are “Newbies” so I found this video/review really helpful thank you 👍
Smashing video. I plan on doing our water system for the first time. Your information was concise and to the point. Thanks so much
I’ve subscribed thank you really enjoyable and informative ❤
Awesome, thank you!
Great video I haven't cleaned my 2011 Swift Celebration water system since I bought it five years ago but have just followed this video today using the powder version, lots of black stuff came out of the shower head!
Just use Chemoclor T-Granulat 65 (Sodium dichloroisocyanurate).
It is a extremely potent chlorinating agent. Dissolves without residue because it is very soluble in water like 350g/L and you only need maybe 20g per 100L for flushing!
+ Long shelf life, 5 years and more (it just looses potency, but that's not a problem any way. Just add more.)
Thanks for the tip
Great review - Thank you. I am a big fan of Puriclean but one thing I don't like is that it leaves a powdery residue in the bottom of the onboard water tank. I assume the same is true in the water heater tank. Not a big deal but I'm going to try Puri Sol this year. 👍
It’s so confusing having so many different products to do same job I have motor home only got it June this year snd a lot of people on different sites I am joined to swear by puriclean so got some literally done mine yesterday so gonna clean it through system today into my grey waste as it’s got bit of smell so sort of doing same job but killing 2 birds with one stone excuse the pun 😂 not sure weather it’s ever been done in its life I mean it’s fairly new motor home 8 years old with one owner from new thanks for the info good detailed vlog I know caravans don’t have waste tank as far as I am aware but wouldn’t know so you must have different way of doing it gonna empty mine into waste today and take it for 10 min drive to swish it about a bit 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for watching
We have puriclean, which reminds me probably need to do it for the new season
We get our caravan in a few weeks time. First timers and brand new caravan. Does it need cleaning out when we get it?
Glad to see you didn’t include Milton that corrodes elements of the caravan that some have used. Puriclean once a year, twice max if somehow decides really needs it. Being obsessive as some are today being ott over reality is not a good trait being a complete waste of water and time. UK tap water is very good unlike some of the world.
@@BigWhiteBox Yes, we always drink from caravan tap no problem. Bottled water you buy clearly shown by tests at universities and labs to be inferior to our tap water quality.
Only aquasol. Use in flush tank to clean black bits. One capful in tank leave 12 hrs and flush. Wizz flusher pump couple of times on empty and you won't get seized pump.
Hi do you have a eBay shop ??
