The entire “Paranoid” album is full of bangers! Not a single bad song on it. If you ever do full album reactions, you gotta start with “Dark Side of the Moon” and then “Paranoid’!!!
EVERY SONG ON THE "PARANOID " album is A BANGER !!!!. I was 16 in 71 .4 years before the Vietnam War ended. I saw them in the fall of 71 , a life changing experience.
I agree! And he doesn’t (or didn’t) interrupt the song(s) while he’s listening, which enhances his ability to contemplate both the lyrics and the music, and which is also great for us! Great job JMBOY!!!
One of the harshest anti-war songs ever written. Back when it came out, the `establishment` if you will, criticized this song as being satanic, because it mentions witches and Satan. They were full of crap. They knew exactly what that song was about and they didn't like the connotation one bit.
Word. I'm reminded of Winston Churchill saying during World War Two that if Hitler invaded Hell, Churchill would at least make a favorable mention of the Devil in the House of Commons, lol! Same for the Establishment War Pigs. THEY'RE calling someone "Satanic" ?? F THAT, man!
The original lyrics "Walpurgis"were more occult based, but it's far more powerful as "War Pigs" and it was that anti-war rhetoric that made Warner Bros Records demand the name change of the album to Paranoid.
More! They KNOW it's their LAST Warning! And that their time burns away just like paper in fire! There is much unknown to most, about this song. But everyone'll know in a few more years. I'll let The Righteous One tell ya about it then. ^_^
Nicely done, JM. The 3 guys in Black Sabbath had extended periods of brilliance. I did not see them until 1978. In one 7 day stretch I saw Foreigner open for Van Halen and The Cars opening for Black Sabbath, in Jacksonville, FL. In the week prior I saw Rick Derringer w/special gues Edgar Winter - twice. Good times!
I was watching One Hit Wonders from the 60's... Here are two with outstanding vocals and a great tune... Brooklyn Bridge - "Worst That Could Happen" and... The Spiral Staircase - "More Today Than Yesterday"
6:22 I have to smile because I know what's coming...:)..Not bad for guitar, bass, drums and vocals...Sab head since 1975 and never stopped loving them...Sab till I die...
Geezer and Bill killin' it , as always. Glad you did not watch that distracting video but lemme tell ya , this song live Paris 1970 is worth a reaction. Hope you get to it.
So agree, don't know how someone imposes their video version which is fine for personal sharing, but how does the real band performing it get axed? This is where reaction vids from people that don't care enough and just grabs vids by views which contributes to this injustice,... Oh well
That album cover is most appropriate. When Black Sabbath hit the world they set it on FIRE. Just imagine what the churches thought. I was only 14 years old and remember what I thought... Music is never going to be the same again... I was right.
That was the exact reaction after seeing Aerosmith as my first concert in 1973. I said to myself 30 seconds into their opening song “This changes everything.” I was and am right! That was the Get Your Wings tour. Saw them again only a few month later fkr the Toys In The Attic tour. Then 3 more times before 1983, then lost interest until Permanent Vacation.
I am listening to Death Metal but even compared to it this stuff still feels powerfull and heavy. They have achieved the ultimate metal greatness in the 1970.
Hey, I can't argue too much with that! There might be more than 5 or 6 on my list, but I hear ya. I would say Sabbath-with-Dio's "Heaven and Hell" could be another such perfect song.
Classic! Hey jm. I'd love to see your reaction to a great but little known Elton John tune titled INDIAN SUNSET. tells a story about the end of the Native American's fight against the European conquerors.
oh snap now you need to give Black Sabbath Hand Of Doom if you like this you will Love Hand Of Doom thanks and keep doing what you do keeping GREAT music ALIVE
They do leave an imprint on you the first time you hear them. The first time I listened to them in the mid 70s it kinda scared me. I'd never heard music like that before. I love their early stuff with the original lineup like in this tune. I think my favorite tunes are Paranoid and Fairies Wear Boots.
The 2 bands were formed in 68 but page released their first album 1 year before sabbath. I think both have some similar styles in drumming but Bonham is my favorite.
I'd stick with the Paranoid album for now since you've done a couple of them. Most of my favorite Sabbath songs don't really have such heavy meaning. It's usually more about the music and the delivery than the lyrics. You already did Iron Man so you probably get what I'm saying.
Great reaction to a classic anti-war anthem. With NATO hellbent on out-escalating Putin in Ukraine, and the accompanying daily increased risk of Things Suddenly Spinning Out of Control so that the last thing most of us see will be the FLASH in the distance, I'd say this is a pretty timely song. Actually, what's awesome AND shitty about this song is that it never gets old...
"Hand of Doom" by Black Sabbath is one of their best, it has a great groove.
This
The entire “Paranoid” album is full of bangers! Not a single bad song on it. If you ever do full album reactions, you gotta start with “Dark Side of the Moon” and then “Paranoid’!!!
Notice how the Bass plays along with the guitar.
Perfect 'stink face' reaction timing to the first high note Tony hits! 🤌
I trust no reacter that doesn't have that.....😂
Yeah, 50 years later and this song is still so relevant today!
Your grasp of lyrics and meaning of songs is impressive...The Wall...no interruptions...life changing
EVERY SONG ON THE "PARANOID " album is A BANGER !!!!. I was 16 in 71 .4 years before the Vietnam War ended. I saw them in the fall of 71 , a life changing experience.
Man, the sound quality of the music you react to is some of the best I've heard from a reaction channel. Wow, keep up the good work.
I agree!
And he doesn’t (or didn’t) interrupt the song(s) while he’s listening, which enhances his ability to contemplate both the lyrics and the music, and which is also great for us!
Great job JMBOY!!!
One of the best Anti-War songs by one of the best bands ever.
Agreed
Not anti-war
Just truthful
The best* band ever
Agreed
Agreed. You can throw Child in time in there also.
We need more songs like this in today's music, one of my favorite rock songs
Hand of doom
One of the harshest anti-war songs ever written. Back when it came out, the `establishment` if you will, criticized this song as being satanic, because it mentions witches and Satan. They were full of crap. They knew exactly what that song was about and they didn't like the connotation one bit.

I'm so happy you didn't choose the fan-made video! Bill Ward beating that kit like it owes him money!
Nicely done, JM. The 3 guys in Black Sabbath had extended periods of brilliance. I did not see them until 1978. I highly recommend
Hand of Doom, and
Fairies wear boots.
In the words of Country Joe McDonald at Woodstock "If you want to stop wars and stuff you've got to sing LOUD !!!"
My fav is "The Wizard"... you'll see why.
This was their anti war song over 50 years ago. Just as relevant today.
I'm so glad I hit you with this mind blowing band. I saw this song performed Live 1970. No other group is anything like the original HEAVY METAL band.
I saw them in November 2016. They were old and minus Bill Ward, but it was still great.
I also saw them in 1970, and they were incredible.
A Masterpiece. the speed up at the end is the world imploding
Ozzie on a wicked-evil sounding Harmonica to start the song gives the feeling.... Something Evil Comes This Way.... "The Wizard"

I was watching One Hit Wonders from the 60's... Here are two with outstanding vocals and a great tune... Brooklyn Bridge - "Worst That Could Happen" and... The Spiral Staircase - "More Today Than Yesterday"
I grew up with this song. No concept of what metal was, just my father picking me up in his 18-wheeler and rocking out to Sabbath and Dio.
The Sabbath rabbit hole is filled with great music.
6:22 I have to smile because I know what's coming...:)..Not bad for guitar, bass, drums and vocals...Sab head since 1975 and never stopped loving them...Sab till I die...
Another Simply Brilliant Analysis Comments, as usual, as expected, I just smile. Thanks again.
They brought in metal.
The drums sound like machine gun fire and bombs dropping.
Bill ward beat them drums, like they owed him money...
2nd Hand of Doom . A amazing song.
Sweet leaf gotta be next ! Then snowblind 😼
Cannabis and Cocaine.... gotta do a song about them.
Geezer and Bill killin' it , as always. Glad you did not watch that distracting video but lemme tell ya , this song live Paris 1970 is worth a reaction. Hope you get to it.

Oh well
The greatest band for war
…..great reaction to an iconic track from Iommi/Osbourne 🔥🎸🔥☠️
Ozzy .... recognized as one of the greatest hard rock and heavy metal singers of all time.
That album cover is most appropriate. When Black Sabbath hit the world they set it on FIRE. Just imagine what the churches thought. I was only 14 years old and remember what I thought... Music is never going to be the same again... I was right.

Oh my lord the soul of BLACK SABBATH IS HERE
This is where politics and music started
Gotta love the Klaxon sirens in the beginning. So nasty/dirty and indicative of the horror to come.
Hard hitting truths. Got to watch this live. Incredible tallent
Black Sabbath - Snowblind
As much war as I dealt with, I wish people could speak to one another instead of taking young man’s lives one way or another. God bless you young men
Music was so much deeper in the 70s then now, you could literally feel the emotion in just the instrumentals alone
I am listening to Death Metal but even compared to it this stuff still feels powerfull and heavy. They have achieved the ultimate metal greatness in the 1970.
This is one of the first albums I ever bought. Think I was 16. I still have the original vinyl and it sounds SOOO much better then any CD! 🤘🤘🤘
This one of 5 or 6 songs that are perfect . Then again what do I know.
Hey, I can't argue too much with that! There might be more than 5 or 6 on my list, but I hear ya. I would say Sabbath-with-Dio's "Heaven and Hell" could be another such perfect song.
@@joescott8877 I could do probably 10. This is always #1.
@@norair1010 Right on.
Classic! Hey jm. I'd love to see your reaction to a great but little known Elton John tune titled INDIAN SUNSET. tells a story about the end of the Native American's fight against the European conquerors.
Black Sabbath 1968-eternity🤘
oh snap now you need to give Black Sabbath Hand Of Doom if you like this you will Love Hand Of Doom thanks and keep doing what you do keeping GREAT music ALIVE
sabbath was ahead of their time..
Another Classic Rock 3 Man Band that has several huge songs like this one...... Grand Funk Railroad - Closer To Home (I'm Your Captain)
ua-cam.com/video/fvOPucs7dC0/v-deo.html
that bill ward, just wow
Ozzie's Vocals.... One of those guys you know from the first word who it is... you know the names of those artist.
Great job! I suggest Black Sabbath's Symptom of the Universe in a lyric video.
Live version was great,total commitment
Talking about the Industrial War complex. The idea that war s are started mostly for profit.
Lmao...more likes than veiws.....firee....but they missing out frfr ❤ fire song.....fire reaction the whole package
Yes, Hand of Doom is great but it needs to be backed up by Rat Salad (it's a continuation & drum solo).
Takes you on a ride

I love their early stuff with the original lineup like in this tune. I think my favorite tunes are Paranoid and Fairies Wear Boots.
This album was supposed to be called war pigs. At the time their manager thought it might push a little hard on the establishment.
This is so Wickerman
Looking for Today next bruv, you’ll love it.
The Wizard / Sabbath Bloody Sabbath / Fairies Wear Boots / Sweet Leaf / End of the beginning / God is dead
Awesomeness!!!
First visit. Great job!
I always thought that John "Bonzo" Bonham got his powerful technique from Bill Ward... and many others. He set the table many fed off of.
The 2 bands were formed in 68 but page released their first album 1 year before sabbath. I think both have some similar styles in drumming but Bonham is my favorite.
Bill and John were buddies before and after they were famous, they were at the for front of drum developments and approaches.
I approve of this!
The wizard black sabbath 1 best album
Subbed!
Reverend!!
🍄🌲🍄💥✨🌈
H@LL YEAH
One of President HW Bush favorite Ozzy Osbourne song and a fan. Go figure. Lol
I'd stick with the Paranoid album for now since you've done a couple of them.
Most of my favorite Sabbath songs don't really have such heavy meaning. It's usually more about the music and the delivery than the lyrics. You already did Iron Man so you probably get what I'm saying.
Try Gary Richraft flying turkey trot live REO Speed wagon best guitar solo ever
Do you mean just like today?
Listen to hand of doom
🖤🖤🖤
One of the truly great anti-war songs.
Truth songs

have you reacted to 'war' by edwin starr' yet?
what the Song gets wrong. Sometimes the War Pigs are the public.....
🤘🍺✌️
Later rendition of Black Sabbath was Heaven and Hell with RJD. Equally superb. Check it out.
No offence, but please, no!
If gods exist? Ozzy is one!
