Yes the crank pulley has to be removed to replace that sensor.Crank speed sensor would be how some might call it.
My listing shows there is no 2.4L in that vehicle.
I do not know as i have never seen one before.
The crank sensor is next to the crank pulley.

Not on the s-series.
Most 3.1s have two one behind the crank pulley and one in the back of the block.

@elchihuas What year please
Your truck does not have a crank sensor but it does have a Ignition Control Module in the distributor that might be giving you problems.
On the vehicle it is located Under hood, passenger side, upper engine area, mounted on the front of engine above oil filter
They hide it good,it is under hood, center, upper engine area, rear of intake manifold, mounted in distributor .
The early s-series had two sensors your 98 only has one.Dies after 10 minutes of running,i would look at the crank sensor.

You are correct in thinking it could be a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor. On saturns it is very rare to have a bad ignition module when there is no spark but not the case when it comes to the crankshaft sensor.I would change out the sensor and see what happens.
I do not know were the crank sensor is on the 1.8L just the 2.0L
On the 3.5 L engine it is located on the right side of the engine, above the transaxle and just below the exhaust manifold.
Yes if this sensor is bad it can make the car not start.

@oneiooknurhookd On these engines, it is located on the side of the engine block.
@eZm0n3yy Which engine do you have the 4.3L or 4.8L
You can do resistance checks on them to see if they are good.
@RosemarySam It matters what engine you have
@Cory21Smith It is located right next to the crankshaft pulley.
