The Graston Technique- Scraping(Gua sha) is used to break up formations of scar tissue leading to increased mobility and range of motion in patients. In addition, scraping reduces or eliminates pain associated with soft tissue injuries. While helpful in the process of breaking up scar tissue, scraping is also used to reduce muscle tension.

@@RassionellMaddman There are plenty of chiros, osteos etc here but they don't go to the same extent that Dr McLlaughlin and some other chiros on YT go to. You're typically in and out within 5-10 minutes and they charge you so much for it.

Huge fan recommendation! I am a foam-roller advocate and have my co-workers interested in them to address pains from office life. The end of this video (41:08 and after) is a GREAT example of how I recommend the use too and want to suggest making a short video of that so we can share! My co-workers are finding videos of "rolling" which is causing pains and dissuading them. I've already this one but think this would be a great video to have; thank you for all the insights!
Very educational. I love it! It explains a lot about the westrn's medicine lack of knowledge about how human body really works. I come from the Czech Republic in Europe and chiropractic care doesn't exist here. It all falls under orthopedics and they have no idea 😔
These videos always make me want to correct my posture. Somehow when I attempt to sit with good posture I am driven to take deep breaths that almost makes me dizzy!
Do you ever send your clients to be evaluated for tongue ties? I’m not sure if you have any knowledge on tongue ties, but they create tension in the lower jaw and then can cause tension in the other muscles that are connected. My sisters and I all have tongue ties and 2 of us ended up with scoliosis that had to be surgically corrected and my other sister had an underdeveloped jaw that was surgically corrected. I bring this up because I keep hearing of people having hyper kyphosis and wonder if it’s in part due to an undiagnosed tongue tie they have been living with all of their lives.
hello, I was wondering if you can recommend any treatments for depression/anxiety? I figured it's neurological related so maybe something like this could help?
I used to do judo, injured my kneck carrying a 25kg mat at around 8 years old..then went on to do Highjump and pole vault as a teen. Do you see patients if it is only for one visit? I live in another state and would not be able to come very often like more than 2 a year. And how much do you charge for appointments like this?
It applies pressure to scare tissue and knots that are invisible. All it does is helps alleviate pain and show you where you have problems. It fades rather quickly. Think of it like cupping.
The Scraping or Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), is used to help break up scar tissue and reduce fascial restrictions. It is a manual therapy that uses metal instruments to effectively massage or “scrape” the affected area.

it’s not blood blisters, it’s blood being drawn out with the use of Gua Sha. Gua means to scrape or rub and Sha describes blood stasis in the tissue before and after it is raised. Sha may be visible as a reddish, elevated skin rash or spots. It feels good
