"Self CRACKING" Gone Wrong 😭 I CRACK A Jammed Neck In Just The Right Place To Fix Years Of Bad Pops!

  • Self Cracking is an understandable way to try and bring relief when you're hurting...but when done wrong...will really hurt you in the long run. When you try to crack your spine, most of the time you are only manipulating the area that is already loose. Doing this repetitively to an overworked joint actually hurts it and further imbalances your spine. To help this patient I spent a lot of time only targeting his atlas and axis. He needed an upper neck adjustment to release what years of self cracking couldn't get. His hyperkyphosis also needed a lot of attention. Gua sha, deep tissue work, and adjustments were all used to help get him back on track. Thank you for watching!

Apart from your amazing videos and work, I do really enjoy seeing and hearing the conversation between a patient who knows what they're talking about to a professional. It's like that student-teacher bond and that really comes through here. If you don't teach now (Aside from youtube) I hope you do some day.

yeah when people self crack they tend to do it in the same way every time because they dont really know that you should be careful and only getting the areas that need loosening however if you know about it and know how to target different areas you wont get that issue (still better to leave it to a professional)
