Inspect For Exhaust Leak

- Inspect your Harley Davidson for a possible exhaust leak at every service interval. After hours of vibration and heat, the exhaust system or an area of the exhaust system may begin to loosen. It is important to catch this early as even a small exhaust leak can adversely impact the running and performance of the motorcycle. A small exhaust leak can be difficult to detect. Even if there is no indication of an exhaust leak, it is still a good idea to put a wrench on the exhaust fastening hardware. If any hardware is not tight, it should be addressed and returned to correct factory torque spec.

I was hoping you were actually going to inspect for a leak. Put a rag over what? The mufflers?
Hello AGC - Mike is walking us through and telling us where to look and listen for. You may have stock or an aftermarket exhaust, what nuts, bolts to tighten is a noticable sounds change. A rag can be put over the end to listen for a change in your exhaust sound. Like a howling dog, a crying baby or a screaming partner we all get a feel for what things sound like "normally". If you start to hear a difference in your exhaust note - these are some things to consider looking at. Stop by our website for more videos and Tech Q&A - www.fixmyhog.com/post/tag/exhaust-posts/
All right, let's keep moving on? The video ends. 0 star rating from me
I just installed new slip ons for my Harley Sportster and now I hear a "bloop bloop bloop" similar to if no mufflers were on it and im thinking maybe my muffler clamps aren't sealing properly but I don't feel any air seeping out. Idk but it's not extreme but it's noticeable sound that I really dislike. Sounds almost like a water pumping in a tank.
