The X80 - A $35 Budget Handheld with a 7” Screen - *Read description*

TL:DR: It’s okay for the price but I dont like the analog sliders or separated dpad. I’d be content if it just had a decent dpad and sticks. I could look past everything else for the price. Huge screen, good buttons, games run fine and scale correctly for the most part.
This is another first impressions video. It’s a long one so take advantage of that 1.5x speed if needed. I’d recommend stopping the video after Crash Bandicoot at around 35:00 . Button mapping gets extremely confusing on some systems for me and things just get worse from there on out.
My phone wouldnt let me even trim the video down but my next video will be filmed with my new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and edited on PC so the quality will be much better.
For todays video I’m unboxing a cheap handheld gaming device known as the X80. You usually pay for what you get, but is it any good?
This budget device is capable of emulating up to some PS1, but the analog sliders and dpad are terrible. There’s also no L2/R2. The face buttons and L1/R1 are fine though.
The X80 wants to be a Nintendo Switch but looks can be very deceiving. It would seem its strength would be its large screen but retro games don’t utilize a 16:9 aspect ratio and it definitely doesn’t have an IPS display. It has terrible viewing angles but looks okay from straight on.
