Glad to see a review of the green model. PowKiddy's handhelds usually look much better in person than the pics on their website lead you to believe. I debated getting the green model but the pictures on their site make it look kind of pale/grey-ish. It looks much nicer here!

Very nice. I have mine on order should get it within a few weeks. There is a d pad pivet mod and quiet button mod and makes it softer to press. Will you be doing videos on modding it?

how loud would you say the buttons are, annoying loud or bearable. does the sound make you not want to play in public spaces. Thinking of getting one but not sure about the sound of the buttons.

I bought one from anbernic, and amazon, the one from amazon had little felt pads on the triggers, volume, and power buttons. The anbernic didn't. So I added my own felt pads on the other sp. Also did the dpad and buttons, quieter and shorter travel. The felt padding i used is the same stuff they put on the 3d grips.

If you are ever gonna open a device, use the white foam cutout. Place device on top of the foam. I have never seen anybody use that. I'm pretty sure thats what its for.

Definitely the best joycons, and i bought the cheaper M6s versions. But for the me, the 8bitdo Ultimate is still the best for having all the same features (minus amiibo), but with Full button/stick remappability, which the mobapad sortof has, but 8bitdo's can also invert stick axis. I did leave a comment with their customer support asking for that, and mobapad did say they're possibly working on it, along with pc controllers. I just hope it means its coming to their nintendo controllers too

Such a detailed and insightful overview! I ordered my white one 2 days ago. I was a huge Crash and Mario kid. Not only am I going to get to experience games that I used to play, but the more exciting thing is the fact that I’m going to be able to get access to games that I NEVER played before. So that’s something! Whoever made this is a complete mastermind. It’s literally something everyone can have, because like for example, not everyone had an N64 growing up or not everyone had a PS1 growing up, so now this gives people that chance to be able to play those console games they never got to play. Like in my life, I had a Gameboy Advance, NDS and PS2.

Nice little showcase of what this thing can do. It's certainly more performant than I thought. Since filming this video have you got around to testing "Outrun 2006" on the M18/R43P, or did this unit lose its luster pretty quickly?

I was pretty enthusiastic about the M18/R43P when it debuted due to the unique vertical + widescreen form factor. To be honest; I still am. I only passed on buying it because it seemed a bit overpriced for what it was offering. Besides PSP (which, good luck with that) a decent number of PS1 games had anamorphic 16x9 widescreen options from the factory that should be able to take advantage of this repurposed PSP screen. At the time this handheld debuted I had recently started playing through Codemasters' "TOCA World Touring Cars" (sponsored by stock car drivers Labonte and Jarrett in the US, but, not the Labonte or Jarrett that anyone into stock cars actually cares about - very sneaky, Codies) and it looks gorgeous in its native widescreen. Codies also included a widescreen toggle for "Colin McRae Rally" too. So, I "got" the point of this device; but, obviously a lot of people didn't. Atari Lynx is 16x10, Bandai WonderSwan is 14x9 (IIRC), while the GBA is 15x10. Not perfect fits to be sure; but, they're less bad played on a 16x9 screen than a 4x3 screen. Actually, I don't remember if this unit has Swan. I'll have to double check that segment before I go watch your next video about this unit. If it did, it would look pretty darn good here. EDIT: It does not have WonderSwan. Finally; I was enthused enough about the M18 at the time to look up how to fix its forced stretching for everything. The fix was incredibly simple. Simply remove the TF card from the unit, plug it into a computer with a card reader, go into Emuelec (spelling?), and change one line of the configuration settings from something like "18" to "22". Unfortunately, I don't remember which line or the exact numbers, but, that was the basic process to fix it. You might've covered this in your second video, but, I haven't watched it yet. If you didn't then maybe it'll breathe new life into this unit for you. Or not.

Wow - no DS before? DSi XL is my all time favorite handheld...followed by the New 3DS XL. DS games truly look the best on the DSi XL - due to the clarity and the screen quality (they have 2 IPS screens).

Este portátil é muito honesto pelo seu preço. Funciona muita coisa perfeitamente de snes e GBA, os mais criticados. Recomendo ir testando um a um e aperta o X para colocar o jogo que roda perfeito em favoritos. Jogos como Rock in Roll Racing rodam perfeito, só para terem uma ideia. Isto tudo original, ele melhora ainda se instalarem o multicore. Roda master system também, só criar a pasta ROMs.
