This is a long one and done all in one take so 1.5x speed might help to get through some sections. Skip to 12:15 for the unboxing if that’s just what you’re here to see. There are many points where I’m caught up in thought searching these menus for the first time ever. Please feel free to skip them. This is my first hands on experience with the R36S straight out of the box. It is not a review**

There have been so many handhelds releases that are almost identical to the R36S but none of them can match the performance versus price point of the R36S. It can run everything up to PS1 and It has a 3.5” OCA laminated screen with a beautiful IPS display that looks much better than the R35S.
This console can also run some PSP, Dreamcast, N64 and Nintendo DS games. I show which games come with the stock card for each system and I play my go-to test games on N64 (Mario Kart 64) and PSP (GTA Vice City Stories)
So far, I think this is the best budget handheld available in terms of performance. The build quality feels good, and the buttons aren’t bad but could be better. The same goes for the dpad but I think it’s better than the R35S. My shoulder buttons were sticking but that’s an easy fix. The only downside to them is the loud noise made by the switches they chose to use. Another nice improvement over the R35S besides the sticks and button placement is the addition of a battery latch and removable/replaceable battery. It’s great when you can count on a device that can take a spare battery when on road trips or just don’t have access to electricity.
This device is a winner in my book. I love budget handhelds that perform well!
