- This is a short video previewing the MPE support which will be part of the 1.03 update. This also introduces channel aftertouch support and allows you to map the breadth controller CC2 message to a number of internal functions, just like CC1 (modulation wheel).
MPE support will be included in version 1.03 which is due for release on the 6th Oct.
Thanks for this addition, this makes string lab even more versatile & powerful
Cheers Paul genius. Hope your ok.
Fantastic. I've got an Orba and it already does some cool stuff with the current MIDI controls, so this will be even better. The last bit you said at the end was a wonderful surprise too. Can't wait to try this out! Thanks, Paul!👍
I'm on cloud 9 playing with StringLab. I've been searching and waiting for something like this for years. I play it with a Linnstrument and it's a great fit. I find the interface more intuitive than most synths and I'm loving playing with it. Thanks so much for making this and selling it for such a low price. I would buy more of your presets if you made more. I'm really trying to get certain kinds of long pitch bends to sound more natural like in s sitar or an oud, and this give me the best control I've found yet of having instruments with pitch bends that sound more natural like acoustic instruments. I've played with so many synths trying to accomplish what this does. I have ideas for more features it could use if you're interested. I've thought about it quite a bit...
Hi Asha, glad you like the app and see the potential. I'm always interested in new ideas and improvements. You can send your ideas to info at 4pockets dot com and I will take a look. Right now I'm working on updates to WaveCloud, but early next year I will get some time on StringLab again.
Always good 😎👍Thanks Paul
Excellent, Paul! This is a fantastic addition to StringLab!
Get back to bed my friend, its well past your bedtime! lol
@@PaultheMusicMan yes, you already know the reason I'm up 🤣
@@dcollett I most certainly do? lol
Ace work as always Paul. Cheers. Lee
Very good addition, great job! About iOS software controllers: Woodman has made one quite recently called WoodTroller and it's really good. Not throwing shadow on the one you recommended but it is old. KB-1 by Kai Aras is another but that one is a bit problematic as it was based on the 3D touch that Apple later removed.
My demonstration of Velocity Keyboard was on a 12.9" M2 iPad and it works perfectly. Indeed 3D touch was discontinued but the app also supports touchMajorRadius which calculates the surface area of your finger in contact with the screen. I will checkout KB-1 though, thanks for the recommendation.
