We have had our Shark Vac now for about a month. Having problems with the lid not wanting to open when we want to clean the filters after use. We have had this issue since we first received the cleaner which is now about one month. We have the regular Shark Vac not the XL. What should be done to correct this issue.
Hi mate, do you recommend this pool cleaner. I had creepy suction,. Always issues. Emptying skimmer box also requires de-attach the pipes and then reconnection creates issue..now thinking to get robotic..
This is a very good model. Along with the Polaris ones. But as far as filtration the Hayward cleaners can filter down to 20 microns which means most dirt as well as leaf debris
Why do I always find my Hayward Sharkvac on its back/upside down? Didn't do this when I first purchased it about 5 months ago but over the last 3 or 4 weeks I seem to find it upside down?
Without a swivel cord that is going to happen. You can try laying it out on the deck with the cord fully extended for a day in the sun and see if that helps.
Is this vacuum left in the pool 24 hours a day like a traditional vacuum? Also, is this a vacuum that is compatible with a beach entry? My current vacuum, Hayward Navigator, always gets stuck in the beach entry, sucks air, and shuts off. Very frustrating since I can't seem to find ANY product on the market that solves this problem. Thanks!
The best solution for your pool would be to convert to a Pressure side cleaner like the Polaris 280. This can be done fairly easily if you have a dedicated Vacuum Port for the Suction Cleaner like the Navigator. Or you could install the Polaris 360 which will connect to your existing return lines - as long as these lines are 1 1/2 threaded. Any robot will have problems with the Beach Entry.
Nice review, very helpful, but was this filmed in Hawkins Indiana?

It might be a manufacturer defect. I would try to exchange it.
Can you tell me what the process on this 1A Haywood shark How much is this Haywood

It could be the cord is not letting it go to the furthest point. Maybe the cold water is affecting the cord flexability.
@@SPL I did make sure the cord wasn't tangled and don't believe that is the issue, water temp is 85 degrees.
How reliable are these units? Anyone have any experience with longevity?
Hayward makes reliable robotic pool cleaner.
@@SPL I've had this for about 6 years. Working just fine. Rubber holding up well. I use it once a week in the summer only.
The power cord wraps around itself real bad. Does anyone know of any fixes??
