This video saved me completely replacing my Tiger Shark robotic pool cleaner. I have replaced so many parts on the TIger Shark over the past two years. When it stopped moving during a cleaning cycle I figured it was the motor. So I pulled it out of the pool and soon realized the motor was fine. Somehow the Drive Pin assembly had fallen out. I watched a video produced by Hayward on the Tiger Shark and they did not even mention the Drive Pin assembly as a possibility for the wheels not moving. In fact they don't even show the Drive Pin assembly on their schematic other than in the parts list. I already had my TIger Shark apart when I watched the video and confirmed the Drive Pin assembly was missing. I will order one and install it. Thanks
The torque on the pin is massive - I've gone through a couple of stainless screws and a screw driver bit while waiting for the pin to arrive. Warning: Maybe just wait until the actual pin comes in the mail because I buggered up the Hayward RCX97502GR Drive Bearing Assembly plastic using screws and bits. I ordered the entire drive bearing assembly and two pins. Great cleaner besides this - gets all the fine silt debris and dirt much better than some cleaners (looking at you Polaris)
@@LondonFootballTV I recognize the logo, my son played football with you for years. Did this pin really make it work again? I don't want to buy yet another cleaner and my Aquavac is only 5 years old
I can't get my impeller to twist off. Ugh. It has a screw, which I loosened, but still won't budge. Does the handle have to come off first? I am having a loud grinding noise and the rollers are not moving. Trying to check for obstruction, then will check pin.
Thank you man , just repaired my aquavac 500 watching your video. Good job!
Literally the only vid I found that shows the (very simple) method of removing the sides. Thank you.

Your video saves us alot of money. We had the same problem. I ordered the part from amazon, and is now working . Thank you.
Thank YOU! Saved me a lot of money with this simple video.
Wow. Thanks. The PDF Maintenance manual was complete wrong on how to remove side/wheels. Just two tabs!
Thanks guy. I've put two motors and two power cords into this POS already. I was ready to buy a new Polaris maybe next year.

You such very nice person thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks so much. Why did you unscrew the motor and put wood blocks under it?
Just to make it easier to work on
don't really have to, use magnetic screwdriver and vasoline on pin and it will stay in place to connect the drive..

The grinding might be the plastic wheel gears. Try taking the side off and spinning the gears individually.
@@adammelrose ok, will give it a go. Thank you!
where did u find breakdown of parts showing the pin #rcx40117? also can find part #'s for rubber insert holders for assembly of side cover??
It’s been a while but I Found it on a Hayward parts site
It seems like my pin is there but still isn’t running. Any thoughts ?
Is the impeller running? Do you see or feel the fan blowing up?
