Noa is savage, but she's also very naive, and sweet. She's not a Mary Sue, very imperfect. But man her heart is made out of gold and I think Tera chose well with her. She's even got a smidge bit of character development. I love her character design as well. I think they knocked it out of the park.
My favorite art is Super Ironhead. I remember discovering this one with a friend. The dramatic freeze visual happened then Gala headbutted some ostrich-like creature in the face. We laughed hard. Good times.
Aaahhh I remember the good old days. Noa is the sh*t back then. She can use her miracle arts BEFORE I got her 3rd hyper arts book (Hurricane kick) which is awesome. Helps a lot in the Delilases fights (one of the greatest moment in LoL for me). Gala with Kemaro, Noa with Miracle Arts, and Vahn with whatever works. They need to remake this ASAP!
I love it when you chain all the normal arts... the satisfaction at it's finest!!! I still have those list that are possible to chain all the normal, super and hyper arts haha... good times!

Legaia is one of the most unique fighting systems to this day.. even better than legend of dragoon and FF series in my opinion.. it's inherently theirs..
I can't believe I didn't get all the street fighter references as a kid. Tornado flame is just Ken's shoryuken, and even Chun-Li's lightning legs is in there.

This game was like Pokemon to me cause you could get certain Seru if you were lucky enough to "capture" them and turn them into "summons" not to mention how many RPGs back then had martial arts in it as its main attack focus.
Legend of Legaia Party Guide: Vahn: You can put anything for him. He's a balanced character. Noa: War Soul, and items that make her art moves stronger. Gala: Speed Chain, The rest are MP focused item since he's a caster.
When I was new to this game, I had to gameshark my way until the final battle with Court. The story line was excellent and the side quests were worth while.
You had alot of patience to level up that far, i never went past 30 haha. Once you get to the end, the items you get to make your characters pretty much invincible kinda breaks the game ;\.
i always use power/arts based items on noa, defense/hp on vahn, intellect/mp on gala (with speed chain ofc) tank, DD, and heal/mage DD. it went pretty well :)
This the game I finished with learning all the skills and combination without cheating~ such a good sense of fulfillment lol~ not that it was that hard to guess just put in what fits lol! I guess legaia 2 was a bit hard it just took some time to guess all arts

Now if only there was a video showing every spell (Seru summon) in the game, my childhood of beating monsters to death with my fists and feet would be complete... Seriously, I'm please to see all the arts in one vid finally.
I know this is a bit late, I just saw the video now so you probably figured it out by now. Anyway, if you steal 3 ''Crimson Books'' from the Puera in the last area of the game (may take a while to pull that off) you will gain double the experience and will level much faster killing Gilium and Puera every battle than anywhere else. Problem is, takes a little while to get there and well, it's still not lightning quick to 99...but worth the effort to get Juggernaut summon. =) Good luck! Let me know
Two questions: (1) How did Vahn and Noa get so strong? and (2) You would think being a monk of Biron, Gala would be the strongest. So why is Gala the weakest?
vahn got trained personnally by a stranded master monk of byron so he progessed in leaps and noa litterally got trained by a ra-miru ( essentially a divine creature). in-story speaking, gala is just as strong if not stronger than both of them. however due to game mechanics in an attempts to differentiate their style, even tough gala has the strongest base strengh, his speed(or move pool) is too low so he ended up with the short end of the stick as he's not able to use his moves a lot. this can be remedied if you get speed enhancing accessories
Vahn has all his attributes at medium, Noa has the highest speed, agility and lower defense (because of her legs), but the other attributes are low, Gala has the highest of everything, except speed and agility. For sure Gala is the best here.
Can any japanese-speaking friend here translate what they say when finishing a super/hyper arts? They say like "parapara-souta", and since my childhood i wonder what that freaking means.

One thing I enjoy playing this is seeing vahn wearing new armor I just got. Or everytime we managed to save the tree and somehow ra-seru got bigger.
the Ra-Seru got bigger each time because everytime you revive a Genesis tree they would get stronger

I read that the writer and the programmers clashed, and the fired the writer. That’s likely why 2 felt so different to 1.
