other games give u headache. Like FF7 Materia system. Also the roads are too many branched. Legaia system is very very neat. I remember playing Breath of Fire IV on Final boss tower/dungeon, it gives me headache so much so i just speedrun it, didn't care about treasure chests etc. But Legaia final dungeon design is not boring, it's exciting to search all the chests in it.

I love this magnificent game made jewel! The "invocations" are surprising! Undoubtedly, one of the biggest attractions of the game. And capturing them is not an easy task. I love it!
ROFL I remember the seru called spoon...best name ever. SO awesome to see all the summons again. Takes me back. Puera must have been one of my fav summons, coming outta the playing card like that and looking like a jester was just a pleasure to watch. No juggernaut though, but still a pretty thorough video ^~^
All of those are obtain through Ra-Seru eggs. Each eggs have names based on their elements. After you get the egg, go to Jeremi and talk to the jeweler. After his done making it a talisman, equip the accesory to any characters. Then check the spells of that character and you will see the Ra-Seru on the list. Here are the specific locations for each egg: Light (Horn) - You will get this automatically after freeing Buma from mist. Dark (Jedo) - After the final battle with Songi, go to West Voz
this takes me back. this game was just.. the absolute BEST when I was a kid. this and Digimon World 1. those two games were wayyyyy ahead of their times. I would love to play through this again.. Sony get on it!

None of the fire Seru are as obvious as Charmander and Ponyta, they just start off terrifying and get worse when they light themselves on fire. (Gimard and Theeder are iconic, but...they look so dorky lol still, gotta appreciate them) Gonna leave this list here to come back and study these designs :D

This is one of those classic games that I would love to see remade. Same world, same concept and mechanics, but a fresh story and of course updated character design. I loved the concepts behind the Ra-seru, their interaction with the heroes, and especially that to have a summon you had to warn it first by defeating the monster you want to use! i thought that was a stroke of genius. Just too bad the fighting got repetative quickly... once you find the best combo it becomes your only attack.
I spent so much time just running around the best spots looking for random fights. Best RPG ever to grind to when you're 10. Still got my memory card! :)
You know I'd love it if this game got a re make, or even just are-release. Though I don't even recall if the company that made it and Duel Saga is even around anymore, much less if they even hold the rights to said games.
@WindamSelece jedo you get from west voz forest not the tournament. palma is from the tournament. gillium is from jette's fortress barra is from the floating castle and mushura is from mt. letona.
you easily could be excused for not having juggernaut... the requirements for it was insane.... not to mention, by the time you got him, even the optional boss was a joke....
Hehe, I have the Juggernaut Summon. It's pretty good. Although, it doesn't add any special effect that is visible...says the status is unknown, but it's very powerful. It requires that you reach lvl 99 on all 3 characters, then a trip to Ratayu (I think that's how you spell it) then you talk to the Emperor there for the Evil Seru Key where you go back inside the depths of the place. There is a chest at the bottom of the long, winding, staircase. =)
@@Magerquark i just watched Mule & Jugger for the first time. It was nice. I told myself no spoiler bcs i was intended to get it in game, but my resolve failed hahaha. Also i didn't expect Jugger is the same as Cort's. It was a nice concept.

I was playing this years ago on PSX.. didnt know there are tons of Easter Eggs in it.. especially the Ra-Serus Magic and the hidden Super Arts... till I got back playing it again on Emulator years later by looking all those cheats on Internet... Definetely The Best of The Best RPGs

Jedo is the Ra-Seru that Songi used and for me one of the best. Sony must make a remake, so I'll buy ps3 just to play a remake of this game with modern graphics. The whole history of this game is connected. Amazing history. Such a Classic game.
I love the two game but Legend of Dragoon is better, in my opinion. Best scenario. Best character (the main character can talk and not only in battle) Best general Graphism. But the concept of legend of legaia are really good, like the art or the idea of the ra-seru and the magic.
the last summon i could hardly acquire was Gilium i only had Noa learn it but my other 2 characters can't catch him i keep hunting it until i lost my appetite playing the game then i just finished it
how i see kemaro is like i see kogmaw(league of legend). this is lefend of legaia :p lol? ok honestly its been like 10yrs ago since i play this game. i miss all the childhood and what i like most among all the seru is Final Blast. enemy burn~
I got none of the hard to get ones as a kid :( I didn't even know the existed lol I played blind and never looked at any guides I missed slot of arts too I needs to dig out my copy some time
palma and mule were from rewards you got in the fishing game (mule) and the muscle dome (palma) and i never managed to get either because it got boring grinding either of those activities in my opinion. especially the fishing. that takes forever. and no real point because jedo is stronger than both of them and far easier to acquire.
I hate the Sequal, even though they did some quaility of life fixes to the combat, the story is bland and magic system was terrible. BTW the fixes I like were the fact that regular arts gave you AP and the Hyper Arts changed over time. Though having more than three characters made party comp more noticable, which I found a pain.
I was the only one among us cousins playing the game to get a gillium XD I was also the only girl, and only 10 years old=P My cousins were all boys in their teens and early twenties XD
@WindamSelece just keep to a schedule....get each character 1 level per night....like im at level 32 for each in rogue tower, if i stick to that 1 lvl per night thing i should have them 99 in 67 days......which isnt bad if you just play for a few hours then quit.
This game is breaking stereotype left and right! The fragile looking girl is actually the physical DPS while the buff tough guy is a magician monk lol. Who woulda thunk!
Noa is overpowered. First is her level growth. By classic JRPG convention, Vahn being the first character unlocked should have been the highest level character. But the truth is Noa's growth is way faster than the other two, that she would definitely out level Vahn sooner or later. Second is her AGL stat, which defines how long your arts bar, is always higher than the other two, thus making her the default DPS of the team because she can always perform more move than the other two. Gala was supposed to be the powerhouse of the team. But you wouldn't see him shine until after the team hit max level.
Noa also breaks sterotype by being a Princess that actually does something, sure at first you don't know that she is one and out of her family, well she needs a happy ending. She can still out damage Gala at max level as her arts do more hits which in turn means more damage output. Noa > Gala > Vahn, poor Vahn gets out paced in both physical damage by Noa and magical damage by Gala.
To get the evil medallion all three characters have to be lvl 99 for you to get the key to get to the chest that has the item to summon it like the other four ra-seru.
I think Aluro got mis-typed as it is the only Light Seru that can attack but it can insta kill an enemy like a Dark Seru, and Dark only has two summons save the Ra-Seru. So if you ignore Aluro then Horn just healing makes sense as all Light Seru heals the party in some way.

9:17 was my all time favorite summon. We took turns playing and this felt like the longest spell, did it for the lulz:) it did crazy dmg sometimes too

Getting all three characters to lvl 99 is a chore, stealing crimson books in the Biocastle is the only way to do so.

Hell fucking yeah. one of my all time favorite games. wish i could get it for the pc. searched it out for the ps2, then gave my ps2 to my son.

i had both of those games, while i prefer Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon had a pretty wicked plot.

10 mins? Why? One lvl 9 Gillium is more than enough to wipe anything after lvl 50 except for bosses.
only one your missing is juggernaut summon but for him you need all character to be 99
