I just got my Cruiser. Blue, and it really looks nice. I haven't rode it yet. A couple of notes; this bike is extremely heavy. Very heavy. It's also very easy to put together. You won't need to hire anyone to do it. Wired includes two seat posts to choose from, I thought that was gracious. Two chargers. But, to me, it was the size and weight that surprised me. Getting it out of the box required two of us. I will provide more details as I go. One extra note, I ordered black stickers online and plan on covering all the WIRED decals on the bike. I don't want people (bad guys and even cops) knowing that I am riding one of the fastest bikes in the market.
Yes, I thought the same. It is really big and heavy. More like a motorcycle. The minute you get on it, it occurs to you, I gotta pay attention here. Fast, powerful and heavy.
In case is helpful to others, I received a new Freedom yesterday (Sep2024) and put it together today. I put the ebike into PAS1 and turned the throttle and nothing happened when I turned the throttle (PAS worked fine when pedaling). Sent Chat to Wired and they said to remove the WIRED cloth like wrap around the cables in front of the handlebars, and look for either disconnected connections in the wiring, or loose connections which happens during shipping (I saw both). Carefully reconnect the cables that are disconnected (match up the small Arrow on both ends of the cables) and reconnect the cables, or make sure they connectors are all snug. This fixed my problem today.

I orderer a Freedom a couple days ago. I’m very excited, they say middle to late July. They have been making so many great changes lately. I just wonder if they will make any more by the time I get mine. I sold my 2020 Radrover to help pay for it. I put 6,086 miles on it in the 4 years I had it. I received my cruiser yesterday. I randomly changed the magnet setting inadvertently. I still have no idea what it is. I changed it to 6 apparently from 1. It is supposed to be set at 1. If it is not, you get inaccurate display. The speedometer showed I was going 5 mph when I was actually going about 25 mph and the battery percentage didn't seem accurate either. So, don't mess with the magnate setting.

I’m done with Wired, their lack or updates, and the terrible customer service I received. They have no idea what’s going on apparently. I can’t get behind that. I cancelled my order and ordered a Five Star.

I just got mine, holy shit, kick your girlfriend out because this bike will rock your world... Bad Ass... now the other side of that coin is I bought a Wired Freedom 2024 in January and the 2024 second version with the 2 batteries blows it away... sucks that I had to spend 4 grand to get the better bike I wanted...Man, that's a first-world problem...I am so blessed... I also have a V1 2024 along with this new version (Freedom). I like having both because the batteries are interchangeable. I often use the battery from my newer 2024 on my older one set up in parallel with the Fusion Battery Combiner. So on my v1 I have a full 40 amp hours and since the motor doesn't draw as much power as the newer 2024 I get incredible range on that bike. So I use my v1 if I need a ton of range and my v2 if I don't need the range but want the power. Of course I still get great range with my v2 but only 35 amp hours. I can get roughly 25 or so more miles of range riding my v1 with the batteries in parallel.👍
Im so excited waiting for my cruiser. I thought I was waiting until mid-late July after they set back orders a month. Maby i still am but I ordered mine the first week they came out with the new model. Im confused as if maybe mine isn't part of the first shipments if they are giving the new bike to people who ordered the old bike first or somthing. I would be so excited not to have to wait another month.😅
Super looking bike, I wouldn't want to do an emergency brake at 40+ mph on a bike though. I had to do one at about 27 mph on another fat tire ebike and that was scary enough.
Really like this bike. My wife and are in our 60's and looking at ebike options as our mtn bikes are just collecting dust over the last 10-12 years. This Cruiser looks like a great choice but I have yet to watch your Aventon Adventure 2 video. We'll be mostly riding pavement and double track forest type trails. We'd probably leave it locked in level 2 as, outrunning pit bulls aside, going 40 is overkill for us. But I still like the power for hill climbing, and really like the battery range and better components, plus the cool style. A question I have is whether the bike is easy to control at slower speeds on the dirt. It seems there is a lot of control over response time of the throttle that might help tailor it to taste.

great review and fantastic bike but I got a few questions. I have light mode set to flash but it doesn't flash. the light icon on the screen flashes on and off but head light stays steady on. how do I fix that. next question how do I reset the trip meter. thanks in advance
Do you have any thoughts about the wooble problem with the new Wired 2024 frame? Just got mine yesterday and thinking about returning it after seeing it becoming a serious issue as people are recieving their bikes. Here's what I was told on the chat at Wired: When you stand there and shake handlebars with any dual suspension and dual battery bike you will get flex. When you are riding any dual suspension/dual battery bike and purposely initiate a wobble, it will happen. When you are just normally riding the bike, THERE IS NO WOBBLE. Some people out there love creating drama for some reason. They then scare people like you who trust whatever they see or hear without actually testing for themselves. You have nothing to lose by trying bike and having me pay for packing and return if it wobbles like you fear. Does not make me fell too confident, I have seen multiple videos of the problem on youtube and on Reddit.
It has no wobble. It only has wobble when you create it by punching the handlebars, and people are open about this. Stop believing everything you see on tiktok and reddit

Thanks for the info CitizenCycle. In Wired's "Reason for Delayed Shipping" email last month they cited the reason was needed time to reprogram the pedal assist that you showed in your last video. Is this the latest programming or did they do something else different? Hope mine is in that first shipping container. 😁
I ordered my freedom on the 1st of May. I still haven't received shipping information from wired yet. I checked my account on the website and just said unfulfilled. Mid late June delivery. Hopefully don't have to wait much longer!
Really enjoy your videos, can these bikes run independently on one battery or do you need both batteries to run these bikes? I guess disadvantage of running on one battery would be you would have less battery power but a lighter weight bicycle?
Just got my Cruiser today. The only damage there was is a gouge on the right side of the fork and I had to buy some washers to use as spacers on the rear fender because the installation tabs were bent too far outward. Still trying to figure out how to get the headlights on. There was also a random screw free floating on top of the battery.

I’ve been watching these since last year and wondered how solvent the company is? They seem to keep having to redesign things, change things, and they are still limited in shipping containers. Is this a healthy company, because if not, there are going to be a lot of bikes in various degrees of change looking for spare parts.
I just purchased a Freedom model. My speedometer does not properly show the speed. For example, if I am going 30MPH, it only shows 5MPH or 4MPH. Why is that? Did I inadvertently change something?
The default wheel size (29 if I recall correctly) assumes that your wheel remains perfectly round and thus overestimates your speed (and distance) compared to GPS. My wheels deform about an inch with my weight on the bike, so reducing the wheel size setting to 28 dials in the MPH and odometer almost perfectly.
Looks like a great interface. Lets say I go for a ride and I want to know how long I rode (in minutes) and how far (in miles). Does the display show that?
Do you think that the controller being housed inside frame will not overheat ? This is mine concern so its hard for me to choose between this one and freedom . Thanks Mike
Can you try out pass code on with wait 3 minutes do nothing? Mine is pressing power on then wait around 3min do nothing is eventually turns on display unlocking pass code itself. How I found this is I got phone call at the same time of just pressed powered on button. I started to talk on the phone but I didn't enter my pass code. Probably around 3~4 minutes past then, display was tuns on itself. I am surprised display is on itself and I turned twist throttle that tire spins. After that I did it one more time make sure turns on it self or not then confirmed turns on after 3~4 min wait do nothing.
CC, I know you said the Freedom & the Cruiser weigh the same. I was wondering if they have the same wheel base measurement. The Wired website shows the Cruiser is about 5 inches longer than the Freedom but there were some discrepancies on some of their measurements. Awesome theyre close to being delivered but Im confused seeing this video as I got an email, as I expect all Wired customers got, about the first shipment being at the port and going thru customs but I thought for sure that it stated this shipment was the Wired Freedoms only. My Freedom is very wobbly when I shake the handlebars. The bike moves side to side. Customer service said that’s normal cause of the suspension. I don’t think so. Anyone else have this problem? How do you fix it? Ty
Yes-on a smooth road, got my new freedom this week took one hand off to adjust helmet and got a speed wobble at around 17mph happens at higher speed also. Think ill try adding a few psi to tires and adjusting suspension fork knobs
@@willy2aps I watched a video here on YT where a guy who said he researched the wobble and found it to be frame flex causing the issue. He said he contacted the owner at wired to talk about the issue and was met with an undesirable response.
When you add the handle bars there are three Allen bolts, one in the center and two on the sides.. loosen all three then really tighten down the center one then the two sides. The center one has a small rubber disk that you take off with your fingers and once off it’ll reveal the Allen bolt head. I ended up using an Allen key and a wrench to provide more leverage in order to really tighten it down

Just put my 2924 Wired Freedom together. Sa thing is I am only 5"8 and the bike is really about 2 inches to tall for me. I can sit on the seat with my tip toes touching the ground. Looks like I should have bought a 24 inch Ecell instead.
i'm also 5 foot 8 (5 seven and three quarters to be exact). i've had my new freedom for almost 200 miles, setup my rear shock sank at 170psi (i'm 175lbs) my feet are flat on the ground with my weight on the seat.
I wish my Himiway D7 had those types of functions is there any way I can contact you to see how you can get more power out of my D7 upgraded 2024. The new Himiway display stinks...

Rear battery? You will have 2 sets of keys; 1 for the front, and one for the rear. Using the proper key you should be able to pull the battery straight out the back-side. :)
mine was only hitting 41.5... but with a tailwind today i hit 44 throttle only flat ground. i believe they're actually rated at 41 but if you see more it's because of grade or tailwind.
Just in case your asking about the wheel/tires actual size instead of the programming size for computer which CC answered but the actual size is 26" diameter by 4" wide
I have no doubt it is a super fast ebike! how will it be climbing 23% grade on trails, driveway? so many say it will level the hills, But Ive not seen it yet. going fast isn't my goal [its nice it goes fast. that will be fun] I have seen many start fast n go fast. on the highways Ive seen them performing great. my comfort zone is cruising along about 10 to 18mph on a nice paved street [yup some call that boring] more of my riding is real trails & logging roads. 8% up to 18% much of the time I have a step thru 750 watt that will go up the 23% at a run, But Id like to just put up without going too fast. my run up a grade that steep is short, but the 6% to 18% is kinda longish, but after that it levels off for a comfy cruise [on dirt I cruise about 11 to 14 mph I & my ebike like that] Im only interested in the step thru - the cruiser I can ride my 4 wheeler on the steeper skid roads. Im not expecting an ebike to do that. but logging roads? there are miles of them here & I used to explore them on my motor bikes, but want to ebike it.

i highly, HIGHLY recommend the origin8 supercells. swapped them on with less than 60 miles on the bike but they took a solid 75-100 miles to break in.

Really like this bike. My wife and are in our 60's and looking at ebike options as our mtn bikes are just collecting dust over the last 10-12 years. This Cruiser looks like a great choice but I have yet to watch your Aventon Adventure 2 video. We'll be mostly riding pavement and double track forest type trails. We'd probably leave it locked in level 2 as, outrunning pit bulls aside, going 40 is overkill for us. But I still like the power for hill climbing, and really like the battery range and better components, plus the cool style. A question I have is whether the bike is easy to control at slower speeds on the dirt. It seems there is a lot of control over response time of the throttle that might help tailor it to taste.

@rkhatod1 make sure you are in at least PAS1 for the throttle to be active.
great review and fantastic bike but I got a few questions. I have light mode set to flash but it doesn't flash. the light icon on the screen flashes on and off but head light stays steady on. how do I fix that. next question how do I reset the trip meter. thanks in advance

Do you have any thoughts about the wooble problem with the new Wired 2024 frame? Just got mine yesterday and thinking about returning it after seeing it becoming a serious issue as people are recieving their bikes. Here's what I was told on the chat at Wired:
When you stand there and shake handlebars with any dual suspension and dual battery bike you will get flex. When you are riding any dual suspension/dual battery bike and purposely initiate a wobble, it will happen. When you are just normally riding the bike, THERE IS NO WOBBLE. Some people out there love creating drama for some reason. They then scare people like you who trust whatever they see or hear without actually testing for themselves. You have nothing to lose by trying bike and having me pay for packing and return if it wobbles like you fear.
Does not make me fell too confident, I have seen multiple videos of the problem on youtube and on Reddit.
It has no wobble. It only has wobble when you create it by punching the handlebars, and people are open about this. Stop believing everything you see on tiktok and reddit

Thanks for the info CitizenCycle. In Wired's "Reason for Delayed Shipping" email last month they cited the reason was needed time to reprogram the pedal assist that you showed in your last video. Is this the latest programming or did they do something else different? Hope mine is in that first shipping container. 😁
I ordered my freedom on the 1st of May. I still haven't received shipping information from wired yet. I checked my account on the website and just said unfulfilled. Mid late June delivery. Hopefully don't have to wait much longer!

Really enjoy your videos, can these bikes run independently on one battery or do you need both batteries to run these bikes? I guess disadvantage of running on one battery would be you would have less battery power but a lighter weight bicycle?

Just got my Cruiser today. The only damage there was is a gouge on the right side of the fork and I had to buy some washers to use as spacers on the rear fender because the installation tabs were bent too far outward. Still trying to figure out how to get the headlights on. There was also a random screw free floating on top of the battery.

I’ve been watching these since last year and wondered how solvent the company is? They seem to keep having to redesign things, change things, and they are still limited in shipping containers. Is this a healthy company, because if not, there are going to be a lot of bikes in various degrees of change looking for spare parts.

I just purchased a Freedom model. My speedometer does not properly show the speed. For example, if I am going 30MPH, it only shows 5MPH or 4MPH. Why is that? Did I inadvertently change something?
The default wheel size (29 if I recall correctly) assumes that your wheel remains perfectly round and thus overestimates your speed (and distance) compared to GPS. My wheels deform about an inch with my weight on the bike, so reducing the wheel size setting to 28 dials in the MPH and odometer almost perfectly.
This will be useful information if Wired ever ships my bike. Ordered mine in April. Still nothing.

Mine is pressing power on then wait around 3min do nothing is eventually turns on display unlocking pass code itself.
How I found this is I got phone call at the same time of just pressed powered on button.
I started to talk on the phone but I didn't enter my pass code.
Probably around 3~4 minutes past then, display was tuns on itself.
I am surprised display is on itself and I turned twist throttle that tire spins.
After that I did it one more time make sure turns on it self or not then confirmed turns on after 3~4 min wait do nothing.
CC, I know you said the Freedom & the Cruiser weigh the same. I was wondering if they have the same wheel base measurement. The Wired website shows the Cruiser is about 5 inches longer than the Freedom but there were some discrepancies on some of their measurements. I am waiting on my new Cruiser and was hoping you could tell help me with my question. Thanks!
Having problems installation bike. Rear rack doesnot line up. Front light missing bolts and nuts.
I just got mine.There's absolutely no instructions on how to put it together.And i'm getting frustrated because I can't figure out how to put on the front wheel with the washers
the wired bikes dont have washers for the front wheel, it is a thru axle that screws into the fork.
How well would these bikes handle mild off roads? Like gravel on dirt paths?
Awesome theyre close to being delivered but Im confused seeing this video as I got an email, as I expect all Wired customers got, about the first shipment being at the port and going thru customs but I thought for sure that it stated this shipment was the Wired Freedoms only. Im sorry for causing any worry if Im wrong but I figure we'd all rather know that get our hopes up and then let down.

Hi, it’s crazy because many parts, batteries, controllers… are very similar to ones used on Cyrusher Trax and Ranger ! It would be interesting to know if you succeed to identify the brand and the firmware of the controller 👍🏽

My Freedom is very wobbly when I shake the handlebars. The bike moves side to side. Customer service said that’s normal cause of the suspension. I don’t think so. Anyone else have this problem? How do you fix it? Ty
Yes-on a smooth road, got my new freedom this week took one hand off to adjust helmet and got a speed wobble at around 17mph happens at higher speed also. Think ill try adding a few psi to tires and adjusting suspension fork knobs
@@willy2aps I watched a video here on YT where a guy who said he researched the wobble and found it to be frame flex causing the issue. He said he contacted the owner at wired to talk about the issue and was met with an undesirable response.
Tighten down the front fork and two screws on the side and put about 27# of tire pressure= no wobble

When you add the handle bars there are three Allen bolts, one in the center and two on the sides.. loosen all three then really tighten down the center one then the two sides. The center one has a small rubber disk that you take off with your fingers and once off it’ll reveal the Allen bolt head.
I ended up using an Allen key and a wrench to provide more leverage in order to really tighten it down
Hay citizen i have a question for you.what is suppose to happen when you have the headlight in flashing mode? My headlight don't flash just my brake light. I would think the head light and tail light would flash. What does your bike do?

@@willy2aps Suspension won't do anything on a smooth road. Check your tires to make sure the bead is even all the way around

Just put my 2924 Wired Freedom together. Sa thing is I am only 5"8 and the bike is really about 2 inches to tall for me. I can sit on the seat with my tip toes touching the ground. Looks like I should have bought a 24 inch Ecell instead.
i'm also 5 foot 8 (5 seven and three quarters to be exact). i've had my new freedom for almost 200 miles, setup my rear shock sank at 170psi (i'm 175lbs) my feet are flat on the ground with my weight on the seat.

Rear battery?
You will have 2 sets of keys; 1 for the front, and one for the rear.
Using the proper key you should be able to pull the battery straight out the back-side. :)

disable in the settings, no i dont believe so, but you could unplug and remove it..

41.5 MPH with one battery. I think you did 47 on the white freedom with both batteries.
47 on the white freedom was on a downhill
mine was only hitting 41.5... but with a tailwind today i hit 44 throttle only flat ground. i believe they're actually rated at 41 but if you see more it's because of grade or tailwind.

It can handle up to 400 lbs. So it's perfect for chubby riders.

Just in case your asking about the wheel/tires actual size instead of the programming size for computer which CC answered but the actual size is 26" diameter by 4" wide

so many say it will level the hills, But Ive not seen it yet.
going fast isn't my goal [its nice it goes fast. that will be fun] I have seen many start fast n go fast.
on the highways Ive seen them performing great.
my comfort zone is cruising along about 10 to 18mph on a nice paved street [yup some call that boring]
more of my riding is real trails & logging roads. 8% up to 18% much of the time
I have a step thru 750 watt that will go up the 23% at a run, But Id like to just put up without going too fast.
my run up a grade that steep is short, but the 6% to 18% is kinda longish, but after that it levels off for a comfy cruise [on dirt I cruise about 11 to 14 mph I & my ebike like that]
Im only interested in the step thru - the cruiser
I can ride my 4 wheeler on the steeper skid roads. Im not expecting an ebike to do that.
but logging roads? there are miles of them here & I used to explore them on my motor bikes, but want to ebike it.
