Wired sending this for you to review worked on me. Was in the market for an e-bike that fits my hilly, rural commute. Just placed my pre-order for one of the blue models. Good job on the video.
I got my freedom 24+ today. When i watched this video earlier today, i felt a little salty this one wasnt available when I ordered. After assembling it this evening and taking it on a test run. I have realized one thing, I do not want to go any faster on a bicycle! The single motor pulls. You will not be disappointed..
You need to get out more Bud.. get out of the library & playing video games all day. It means upset , disturbed & pissed i'm 50 years old also and have heard the term since i was younger. @@firstinlastout
@CitizenCycle Why front-wheel drive only is handy. I am a 300 lb guy that lives in the mountains 10 mi from the nearest town. I switch from front to rear wheel every few miles to help prevent the motors from overheating. I can melt the average 1000 watt motor in less than 600 mi. That's the rear motor on an AWD bike. The front motor seem to last two or three times longer than the rear motor. Switching to the front motor when the rear gets hot does wonders for motor longevity. Love the video 👍🍻
@@CitizenCycle925 Does the predator have a temp sensor and display value for both motors separately? Because that would be amazing for monitoring temps and switching. I get high temps very quickly in the hills of CA with both my 2024 and 2024+ unless I closely focus on not giving more throttle than it takes to move the bike when on steep, loose hills.
Wouldnt it make more sense to just run them both all the time? Then they are both half as stressed and don't overheat at all. Am I missing something here?
As a '24 single motor Freedom owner, I love how Wired is pushing their products further and further, but honestly we need a 72V option now. With this much power, I want to be able to go 50mph so I can keep up with traffic anywhere except a highway, while still being able to ride slow and easy at 10mph in a park. Out here in the midwest, that would be an absolute gamechanger.
@@firstinlastout No, that is not an effective solution. I already own a dual motor scooter that goes about 35, and that's as fast as I wanna go on such a short wheelbase. The portability is amazing and I love the scooter, however, as I can throw it in the back of my car quickly. But it also has other problems: - I can't have a basket and pannier bags on the back for grocery getting - There's no good place to put lights or turn signals for visibility in traffic. It's also smaller, so you're even less visible in traffic than a motorcycle. - It's harder to effectively lock up for theft prevention (they're easy to just disassemble quickly and they don't have great locking points), but a 50mph scooter is also gonna be way too heavy to bring in the store with you if you wanted to take that approach - There's probably others I can't think of right now. But my point is that a 50mph ebike would be the *perfect* middle ground between a motorcycle and a bicycle out here in the midwest if you want to be able to actually carry things on it with you.
@asleepappeal I have a dual motor Lectric and I haven't been kicked off yet. I'm in Pa and they can be fussy. I wish they would just make a MPH limit instead of all the confusion.
@asleepappeal My comment said nothing about it needing to be dual motor. A 72V single hub motor would be just fine. Voltage = top speed, that's why I want more voltage.
Great review. I like that you covered all the performance aspects. My predator was delivered TODAY! Bad part is I found your video after ordering, so no discount for me & I've yet to get home to open, assemble, & check it out.
please please please make a vid when you have a chance! if it wasn't right before the winter i'd snatch one up right now but wont get to enjoy it for about 5 months.
Very nice for those in hilly areas. It's nice to see wired offering more options for people. I only wish it hit closer to 50 on the speed.😂 I think I really need to get a hold of that 50 amp controller and put it on my early model 24'. That way I could do 40 much easier.
@@jeremywheeler2122 Because Hentach 1500W Motor does not allow the controller current to exceed 40A, if it exceeds the motor damage caused, they do not provide after-sales service.
I have several ebikes and have been waiting for one that is a big step ahead. Now, I'm a motorcyclist too and have never rode one that I considered too much power. Examples are the old Yamaha VMax, FZR1200 and others. I nearly bought the original Wicked, but it wasn't quite there. This has me interested.

If you think $3200 is a lot try buying a Specialized Turbo Levo Expert (carbon) it goes for $10,000. Ok enough with the drag strip demo. This is not a Mtn bike, it’s a Ev motorcycle. Would of liked to have seen it on a trail with switch backs, 18% grades and downhill braking. I could see this bike spinning out on gravel and tarring up a trail. Let’s call it a commuter bike instead of a e-Mtn bike. A Mtn biker would never ever have a throttle on a handle bar while in the woods-you’d get thrown into a tree. And why even have pedals-stup.

@@stephenolotu5588 Good question… you’re looking at more weight and faster battery drainage using two motors. Then again it’s all based on settings…. a good question to ask Dan or Steve at WIRED. 😉
I have a lot of steep and rolling hills by me here in CT and my 2024+ handles them all (some to my surprise) with no trouble at all. Like you, I prefer my 2024+ over this which seems to be a little twitchy, but very cool nonetheless.
😂 Nice presentation, Bryan, on Wired's entry into E-motorcycles. It is definitely more of a specialty "eBike" that, to Wired's credit, not only beats other competitors in its class in price and affordability, but also keeps within the current Regulations Golden Rule of pedaling (acoustic) capability. The good thing for you is that you now know you will soon be able to source 67 to 72 volt controllers and compatible hub motors for your next Gen Citizen Performance Warp Drive Kits! (Just make sure you require those Thrill-Seeking Surron-High-Risk-Taking customers to sign a Consent Form [and maybe insurance] to protect you, your family and your company from injury-based lawsuits.) Keep up the good work! 👍
I’m all for it ! Just a thought. I am a 6’3” rider at 250 lbs . The 2024 Freedom can accelerate so fast I need to make sure I’m holding on and leaning forward. Lots of Torque on the 2024.
I bought my 2024 Wired Freedom after watching the reviews here. I even used CC’s discount code for a few bucks off the price. I appreciate his reviews. After watching this one, my opinion is this model would be a greater benefit to those that ride in hilly areas or areas with lots of changes of elevation. Outside of a climbing advantage, and raw takeoff power, I think my 2024 Freedom is as good for typical applications.
yep, the regular Freedoms and Cruisers has ample power, this Predator is just a powerhouse, more than the typical rider needs, i think that is why they only made a small amount.
@@CitizenCycle925 I hear you on that. I could also see this being an advantage for those that one to use on uneven trails, off rode use. Very interesting. And I think it's good that it still looks like a Bicycle.
I just bought the Seeker 24, the frame of that bike looks just like the one I have! Now the controls look different, and the handle bars are different, and your bike doesn't have fork adjustment, other than that, it looks just like mine. 5 different sellers, same bike! Different names. Oh ya, mine is still in the house, haven't ridden yet.
I understand your excitement.... It's the acceleration you can only get with a dual motor bike. I just got a Lyric graffiti X , the top speed is 50 mph, but it sucks off the line. I still drive my Grizzly cause I miss that off the line acceleration... especially when I'm in a lot of traffic, you don't want a bike that's sluggish if the line. I notice a lot of the comments saying their bike does 40 like it's biting special. But it's not about top speed... Is about how fast u get there...and under 8 seconds to 40 is absolutely unheard of for ebikes.
lololol .... your "checking the life insurance" scene!! 😁 This ebike is impressively powerful, but I think the expense of replacing tires constantly would soon take away the enjoyment. Thanks for the review!
Even my dual 1KW will spin the front wheel. With those BMX bars, your weight is shifted over the seat. If you had mountain bike bars, with your weight shifted forward, front wheel spin will be "less". But most likely not entirely gone. Might I suggest Innova Hybrid tires to enhance the street traction. This will reduce spin as well. The change to my Innova Hybrid tires helped reduce my front wheel spin.
Just got the graffiti X....i like it but it's slow on take off. I had the Grizzly and really enjoyed the instant acceleration of a AWD bike....i can't even imagine doubling the Grizzlys power. Wow
Love my 2024 wired freedom and watched all your videos before and while it was in shipment -as everyone is stating 3000 extra watts and similar top speed is interesting
Awesome. I have a 2023 Freedom. My accelerator comes in handy for intersections. And if I come to a stop in a higher gear my accelerator is a lifesaver getting this 80# ebike moving as I can't establish a cadence starting off in 7th gear. Other than that I'm mostly in PS1 at 10-15 mph. I kick into PS2 and PS3 for hills on our public trails. Would like your demo and comments on its performance in PS levels at AWD. I live in the mountains and torque is everything. I like to pedal when I'm on my Freedom. Where I live a Class 3 ebike can't exceed 28mph or 750w. My Freedom does 38mph and I've hit 2250w on it.
Yep...I have a Grizzly and there's nothing like a dual motor bike for navigating traffic... people that have never driven a dual motor don't really understand the difference in acceleration.
N.c. law is must not exceed 20mph or 750w motor so idk what e bike to purchase for my first and it will be used for hunting purposes mostly so I want to get a dual motor 750w that I can atleast tell police I only run one motor on highway ... I like the Birch Grolar, the fabulous Havoc dual motor step thru and Ireally want a step thru to traverse in the woods so I can easily step off quickly if needed when gets to rough... and recommendations ?
@@Crayz919wired has a bike called the cruiser, it’s not awd but it does have the same rwd motor as the wired freedom and predator being a 3000w peak motor and it’s a step-through bike. As far as cops go on the road and whatnot I’d just tell them it’s a 750w if they ask and be careful not to go too fast or heavy on the throttle near them.
Im impressed with the speed, but Im more focused on handling, agility and overall comfort. Also prefer a torque sensor with little to zero ghost peddling at higher speeds. Havent seen the perfect bike yet, but we're getting there.
my rad city 4 had a torque sensor and i loved it but i wouldn't want that at over 40mph...pushing hard on pedals at those speeds doesn't seem like the best idea! if you could switch from one to the other on the fly would be really cool.
Hell I'm just now getting comfortable with my dual battery 2024+ Freedom's power, on the trails and dirt I occasionally fly on. The pavement rides are refreshing as well at 33-34 mph top end..........That 6000w Predator looks to be a racer's edge. Thanks for the vid, maybe put it on the big boy dirt next time and show us what it does in the boonies be safe!
I have a Freesky Swift Horse with the unlimited controller that will hit 41mph on pas5 and a fully charged battery (and a teeny bit of a downhill lol) I replaced the forks, shock, brakes, bars, pedals, saddle, grips etc...but I've got it just how I want it now. Won't do burnouts tho unless it's snowing maybe. Still plenty fast for around town. Edit, changed the freewheel to an 11 tooth high (low?) gear I hate ghost pedaling.
I live in the city of New York and let me tell you I have a one bedroom apartment and my Wired Freedom fits perfectly fine so don't be afraid of buying one of these. I don't know about this Predator thing. The Wyatt Freedom by itself is fast enough for me
Very cool, Citizen. I hope Wired will refine the power delivery to the front wheel. It would have been interesting to see the front tire at the end of your ride. A tire with street tread would also help pavement traction. A 2nd throttle for the front motor would probably be the safest way to run this, though. Be careful with that thing. That much loss of traction on a front wheel is dangerous. Be happy that your beautiful wife is concerned. She could easily find a replacement.
I'm glad the throttle on your Wired Cruiser works well. The throttle on my Wired Cruiser is a total P.O.S. Impossible to modulate at low levels. I wouldn't try doing a U-turn with my bike using the throttle. At mid to high throttle settings it works as expected but the bottom range is either on or off. Still, I have to say that wired sells a lot of bike for a reasonable price. Mine just doesn't have a nice throttle.
I agree. Love mine, but it's one of the big drawbacks of these bikes to me. As you said, the throttle feels like an on-off switch. There's a bite point it kicks in about 30 degrees into twisting... and honestly, I don't feel any ability to modulate it at all. On or off. I use my pedal assist buttons as 'gearing' and am constantly changing PAS level while I ride to compensate for this. It works fine, but a real throttle would be much nicer.
it's pretty involved, not just a slap on kit. not only would you need the new motor, controller and wiring you'd also need the new display, new rear controller to replace your current controller, new front fork and the predator sticker. i'm sure i'm forgetting something.
I noticed in the video that the tires seem to be dual purpose (off road/on road) by the semi-knobby tread. From what other reviewers have said in their video's on e-bikes, a softer tire with a street tread might do the trick. One of them mentioned switching to PTM tires (If I remember correctly) PTM tires are supposedly softer rubber and made for street use. The draw back is if you take your e-bike off road you don't have the knobby tread for traction in the dirt.
What is the gps top speed on this model for the money of $ 3200 . Dollars dual motor ? - the other model for $ 1999. You get gps speeds of 40 mph. It makes me question is the price difference worth paying the money for having a dual motor set up. . Thanks for your videos it gives us newbies a better understanding to the ( e. ) world
I think the diffrence is the instant torque and speed. The top speed is similar but I'd imagine the dual motor accelerates about 40-60% faster and the torque to haul up steep hills is much improved.
Top speed is more a dance between motor torque and efficiency. These motors have to put out a lot of power from a dead stop. If they had gears, they could go much, much faster given the right conditions (Down hill/with the wind/etc.) Even just a low and high speed gear. The dual motor costs $1300 more but you get a second battery and second motor. Both of those are kind of where all the cost comes from with an e bike. I think pricing makes sense. And even if you rarely use that 2 wheel drive power, youve got double the battery to get you about twice as far.
@eagle94haslanded wired freedom base model has dual battery integrated into there bikes already. They did this without increasing the cost at all for the additional motor I do understand the extra cost but I think the range will still suffer bec in the base model the dual battery takes u very far. But in this I think with dual motor the battery drank will be significantly more plus the wear and tear on the tires will be alot. I think wired did a good job but with this bike it kind of was n over reach. Like a bigger over reach
@@stephenolotu5588 Oh dang, i see that now. Yeah definitely not worth 1300$ more for just an extra motor. 2k is actually a pretty good price for the single motor unit considering its got dual batteries. I was looking at spending 1100 on a different bike thats dual motor but now im kind of tempted to get this single motor.
Impressive but over the top. My Ecell's 5 Star can do 40mph, can take the steepest hills, got it for $1,899. I love it and it's really all I need. Best bang for the buck IMO.
Well the e cells is now $2695 for a dual battery five star with months long delays. Keep telling yourself you’re happy with an underpowered 2200 watt ecell vs 3300 watts on the Freedom or over 6000 watts on the Predator. E cells also get an F rating from the BBB and is run by a 70 year old felon out of a double wide in armpit NV. The dude is such a fraud and full of excuses for boatloads of broken promises. The only way to cancel your order and get your money back from e cells is to file a complaint with the BBB and the FTC😂😂😂
Wholly Guacamole CitizenCycle ! 1500w back wheel, 1000w front wheel. That looks very powerful. I am surprised that the Wired team did not increase the size of the two batteries. With all of the new wattage and power - don't the batteries drain much more quickly? How would you compare and contract a CitizenCycle range test on Wired Freedom/Cruiser (with 1500w) vs this beast ? The Predator appears to have the identical batteries and so I would expect that batteries to not last long. Time for a road test !
Thanks for the video! Just in time, we were going to order the furious bikes but once I saw this I placed an order. We will either order a second one or we still might order one Furious. We did use your promo code. The one at the top didn't work but the code in the comments section worked. The only reason we ended up with this bike is because ECELLS could not deliver our order. We had to submit a complaint with our credit card and it took almost two months to get a permanent refund. Looks like everything worked out I think we will be really happy. If we order a second bike we will use your code again. Thanks Greg
Yes, ecells has had nothing in stock for 2 months, and when I call and ask them when they expect their next shipment in, they literally tell me they do not know. Bankruptcy? Remember Enron?
@@firstinlastout I had two bike on order from Ecells and waited almost 3 months. They still could not provide an eta so I had to cancel. Unfortunately they did not refund me my money and I had to file with my credit card. Took almost 2 months to get my money back which is why we just now ordered two predator bikes over the weekend. It actually worked out because these weren't available in April and May.
I want to see an honest review of the Predator Vs the MONSTAR. The MONSTAR was shown on radar doing 50mph. My friend has a Wired Freedom. She likes it but has had some problems with it. It took forever for her to get the replacement parts. Every company has issues with a bike. It's like a car. Sometimes you get a part on a new car that just goes bad. I had a bad display on my Dual Star. They did a next day air for my display, and I was up and running again. Customer service is huge in my book.
The math doesn’t add up for the top speed of the monstar AND we don’t know if that radar was calibrated correctly. A gps test would be more accurate however cells has conveniently not shows us that.
Man if I wouldn’t have just dropped 2500 on my 2nd edition 24 cruiser I’d definitely go for this it would handle the hills here in PA like no other , don’t get me wrong I make it up the hills round my place at 22 in pedal assist 4 & 6th gear no problem
I had the early 2024 model single motor version and it got wet from rain and would randomly full throttle while riding and caused a bunch of crashes I could not imagine how scary this one would be if there were any throttle malfunction
Hows the suspension on this bike and the range? Im torn on deciding which bike i want between this and the ecells triple crown. Im leaning towards this cause i dont wanna wait 3 plus months for the ecells and also this is nearly half the price. Also have you had it off road riding? Wondering how it handles over rougher terrain
@devinshaw3521 on the streets around town the suspension felt really good, it's a four link suspension with adjustable air shock, quite a bit of travel in it, so it's a soft ride. I have not taken it off-road so I don't know how it handles rough terrain.
Might get this in a few days. I was leaning more towards one. That looks like a moped or motorcycle. But for the same price you get this one with double the battery and motor and power. Wish the top speed was a little more
CC has there been any word or review done on Fabulous Furious Road Warrior Ultimate AWD 60v? I am on the fence as to ordering the Wired Predator or waiting on a review done on the Road Warrior Ultimate AWD 60v. Just wanted to see comparison before making decision. However, I don't want to miss out on one of those Predator's. And, also do you think there could be more Wired Predator's to be made in the future or these are going to be the only 100 ever to be made? As of now I really like the power and speed on the Wired Predator. Yours or anyone's thought would be greatly helpful and informative. Thanks again for the great reviews, knowledge, and content.
Either put a motorcycle style steering damper on there or at least mount the rear battery on the front to keep the front end from getting squirrelly. Nice bike.
uh wow, just wow ok is there too much power? its a bit more than I want/need. But the power is there "IF" you need it! it is plenty to go on 1 motor,Buut yeah that switch on the fly is a super nice thing to get you up n over :) It will be great to see what they come up with next. your suggestion to see about adjusting the power on that front hub motor is a good one. It will be interesting to see the performance on a long grade climb (?) as far as the overheating of what just 1 hub motor did on its own. my "Guess" (& hope) is that the switch on the front motor will just negate the heat issues as they will be powering together :) & ok im a tourist and my top hill climbing speed will be under 30 going up a dirt road. really Im not a racer & powering back is fine with me (anything over 14 mph is fine)
Front motor seems like a gimmick and that wheel spin is ridiculous. I have a built Talaria pulling about 16,000 watts to the rear wheel and it only burns out on pavement when I make it (front brake pulled, weight over bars.) It will loop out if you're not careful, but not burnout on pavement. Also, with a heavy, powerful e-bike like this, you really should talk more about the brakes & suspension. If they are underspec'd, it's an accident waiting to happen. An offroad segment would be helpful, too.
@@CitizenCycle925I was going to get one that looked more like a motorcycle and I like those kind, But although still legal I think it would get unwanted attention😂 So I don't mind having a powerful sleeper. I wanted to be able to go fifty but around forty five is o k and if you want power you really need dual motors I think. Plus having one that literally looks like a motorcycle.Probably limits you to certain places and people turning into karen's😂
I just don’t see it being worth it. Tire spinouts are fun a few times but I feel like it’s going to get real old when you’re burning through front tires and never grip the road on the acceleration which is somewhat dangerous. Similar top speed for 1000+ more price and it’s heavier? Doesn’t scream buy me.
What a bike! Love my Freedom 2024 and will add the Predator to my addition.Especially liked this part of the video at 12:24. Had me laughing so hard. Thanks for a great review.
Holy cow. That's the QUICKEST (not to be confused with "fastest") ebike I've ever seen purchasable directly through an ebike manufacturer (meaning not a custom made bike). Wow. I think I saw the Lyric Graffiti X go up to 40 in like 9 seconds, and this got 7.8.

I see this bike is new to the market but what about ( shunting ) the speed controller on this model .... ? 😮 Wow . I think the power would be much more and amazing . We all want to see that . 🎉
So essentially it’s the freedom with dual motors. I would love for them to reinforce the rear rack somehow so it could be capable of carrying a passenger like on the ride1up cafe cruiser. That’s really the only thing holding me back from ordering the wired freedom, I would like my next e-bike to have room for 2
Love the content! But hey, please measure your hill for % grade. We all have "decent" hills near our homes. But not all decent hills are made the same. I live in SF where we have hundreds of 20% grade hills, dozens of 25% and even a few 30% grade hills. It really helps when you calibrate yours so that all of us can relate our own terrain that we're shopping for.

It did add up of a final price more than I expected. 3800.But still going to be worth it in my opinion
haha when I ordered mine there were 2 black ones left which made me panic and buy. The wifey got the blue cruiser and it shipped the next day. You're in for a treat bro as the colors look amazing in person.
Yes I am very fortunate in many ways. the cruiser is a great bike too, but the Predator is just a Powerhouse. I'm going to make more content with this bike to help people decide
Amazing video!! I live in Clayton, NC and own a local fitness center. I have a Rad Rover and the bike you’re testing is amazing!! Would like to meet and go ride sometime! Great video!
I think the Predator ACTUALLY may actually break the front tire loose worse than the Monstar bike even though the front motor is only a 1000w vs 1500 on the monstar with the same 40 amp controller? I think the difference between dual1500w motors vs 1000 + 1500w might be the reason why the Predator doesn't top end quite as high as the Monstar. On the MONSTAR bike, I easily hit 45mph in around 10 seconds and clearly felt like it had more to give. I'm 6' at 185 like Bryan. Man What a Fun Bike, (both of them ). I want one ! Choices choices ....Man....But I guess that's a good thing.
The monster will have the same top speed as it is limited by the same motor. They haven’t had it independently reviewed with a GPS and they are using 100 lbs women lying flat on the handlebars. Not to mention you can’t believe a word that comes out of the owner of e cells mouth. Plenty of direct drive bikes will go 50+mph but with a geared hub, it’s about acceleration and hill climb. The Predator will destroy the monster in any head to head competition. You won’t have long to wait as these are supposed to ship in the middle of November.
@@jfly2249 Wow, you really hate the owner of ecells, don't you? Are you the owner of Wired bikes? I like both companies and have no beef with either. The competition is great for the consumer so thanks.
Yeah I'm not really sure but I would imagine the motor windings are just built differently between the two bikes allowing for higher top speed on monstar. AlsoI think ecells might still be using KT controllers which i believe may be slightly less powerful than the Lishui controllers on the wired.
@@f1dog it's not that he hates him, i've been bashed by ecells cronies (one commented on this thread stayconnectedEV). he is correct though, you're getting a more powerful bike at a cheaper price...since ecells can't do that they figure they'd bash Wired but a head to head with measured data will soon show what each bike is capable of.
@CitizenCycle925 If you owned a 2024+ (dual bat) Freedom/Cruiser (as you do), do you personally feel there's a compelling reason to 'upgrade' to this? The 2024+ still laughs at hills and gains speed going up them with the single motor. Has the same top speed as the Predator. The launches in this video have so much wheelspin I have a hard time believing the acceleration is any better either... but you may have the numbers, I don't! I want to be excited about this, but it looks like Wired has found the limits of performance on their current system and may need a redesign to really get to the next level. Which is a shame, because I actually love the low-key nature of the current frame. Unfortunately, slapping another motor on this bike doesn't seem to have produced any meaningful performance upgrades from my point of view, but I would love to hear from someone who's tried both. What are your thoughts?
If you have a 2024 plus Freedom or cruiser and you're happy with the power then I would not upgrade. this bike is a wild ride, it definitely has a ton more power than a freedom or cruiser, way stronger on Hills, way stronger acceleration, slightly higher top speed. I think it's the bike for someone who has a lot of spare cash and just wants the baddest bike out there in terms of power
@@CitizenCycle925Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It is a badass bike, no doubt! Probably would have gone with the Predator had I not just picked up my Freedom a month or two ago. Used your code, thanks for all the great content. Helped me inform my e-bike purchasing decision greatly.
@@CitizenCycle925 Nobody else has mentioned it. Great Job of maintaining control while you had that much front wheel spin. I know of quite a few eBike folks that would have trouble keeping the shiny side up on it under similar circumstances.

Wow thank you for the input. I never thought of that scenario
You might need to keep those two motors on. You might be shortening the life on the motors. You’re a heavy dude! Good riding!!
Wouldnt it make more sense to just run them both all the time? Then they are both half as stressed and don't overheat at all. Am I missing something here?
@Pidgeys because that would cut your range by more than half.
To someone who grew up on peaky Hipo two stroke dirtbikes, these bikes are just pure good, clean FUN!❤🎉😊
amazing. im over 3000 miles on my Aventon adventure. I love it. this bike looks absolutely fun
Get an e-scooter. Many of them are 50 mph +
@@firstinlastout No, that is not an effective solution. I already own a dual motor scooter that goes about 35, and that's as fast as I wanna go on such a short wheelbase. The portability is amazing and I love the scooter, however, as I can throw it in the back of my car quickly. But it also has other problems:
- I can't have a basket and pannier bags on the back for grocery getting
- There's no good place to put lights or turn signals for visibility in traffic. It's also smaller, so you're even less visible in traffic than a motorcycle.
- It's harder to effectively lock up for theft prevention (they're easy to just disassemble quickly and they don't have great locking points), but a 50mph scooter is also gonna be way too heavy to bring in the store with you if you wanted to take that approach
- There's probably others I can't think of right now. But my point is that a 50mph ebike would be the *perfect* middle ground between a motorcycle and a bicycle out here in the midwest if you want to be able to actually carry things on it with you.
Ecell,monstar go 50mph with a reader weighting 150 lbs 🚴♂️💨
@asleepappeal I have a dual motor Lectric and I haven't been kicked off yet.
I'm in Pa and they can be fussy. I wish they would just make a MPH limit instead
of all the confusion.
@asleepappeal My comment said nothing about it needing to be dual motor. A 72V single hub motor would be just fine. Voltage = top speed, that's why I want more voltage.
The predator is 20% faster than a Grizzly. It's time for Ariel Rider too step up with a 60 volt. Excellent review CC 👍
I just commented something similar yesterday on another ebike video. Ariel Rider has been left behind.
For real, ariel needs to step up or bow out. They haven’t released a decent bike in ages

Keep up the good work!
Great, I have the Wired Cruiser on the way on a UPS truck right now. This bike is insane. I want one!
same here bob this week
The Cruiser is a really nice bike, I think you'll be happy with that one though.
@asleepappealcome move to Miami Florida
Amazing! These bikes just get better and better! No way you are going to keep front tires on that beast!
This bike is insane!!!! I just got the 2024+ Wired Freedom last month 😅
lololol .... your "checking the life insurance" scene!! 😁
This ebike is impressively powerful, but I think the expense of replacing tires constantly would soon take away the enjoyment.
Wow
Love my 2024 wired freedom and watched all your videos before and while it was in shipment -as everyone is stating 3000 extra watts and similar top speed is interesting
i just got it ! said last 2 when i placed order. 1 left 😮
I hope Wired will build their Cruiser model with this same dual motor set up. If they do I will be begging them to take my money.
Nice video. Can’t believe they’re only discounting $50
Im gonna roll the dice and wait for the BF Sales, hopefully there are still some left . Great video thanks for uploading it.

I was going to purchase an anoiiki 9 pro, but after looking over the "wired predator" I'm sold...🚲
This looks perfect for where i live. AWD, traction, ground clearance, and enough speed and power to get out of peoples way when i need to.
That last point is why I'm throwing my 48v 750w ebike in the trash and getting this or something similar. Probably the Freedom tbh.
THIS IS 🔥...I really wished that WIRED made a 20 X4 smaller frame configuration for us city dwellers!!! But IDK still debating on this one 🙂
Yes, with a option for a 50-60 amp full frame battery. I'll take two.
Dang, that would be crazy. Imagine the wheel spin on a 20" wheel with that level of power. But love the smaller frame idea for the city!
Wow! Save $50 whole bucks?
:)))
Fun to watch. If I get an eBike, it'll be more reasonably priced.
Amen to that
I don't find this to be a problem at all with my Freedom
@@TunaSoda You should be glad.
You can fix that in settings@@aetheon9906
I wish wired would sell a predator upgrade kit since its the same frame
it's pretty involved, not just a slap on kit. not only would you need the new motor, controller and wiring you'd also need the new display, new rear controller to replace your current controller, new front fork and the predator sticker. i'm sure i'm forgetting something.
@@benhartland4708 sounds like the perfect project to me
Simply amazing! Wonder if they will produce a "cruiser" like version? Step thru.
Thats crazy all that power but i see it still goes about the same speed as the regular wired fredom
it's the area under the curve, torque monster! gets there way faster! think of how drag racing works.
@benhartland4708 I see sounds good but tbh I feel like it's over kill for range
Not to mention, do you think those Chinese tires are built for speeds 40 mph Plus?
@firstinlastout idk from previous review on wired freedom they r. But idk how long they will last on the predators with there melt ur face off torque
@@firstinlastout they're not although i've maintained 40 plus mph for over 5 minutes straight on my Origin8 Supercells.
I have kenda krusade tires. They are more of a off road tread. Street tires would help with that wheel spin. The acceleration would be quite faster.
I see your wife’s excitement about your new bike! She seems tickled pink😂😂😂 not going to lie, I would be excited too!
What is the gps top speed on this model for the money of $ 3200 . Dollars dual motor ? - the other model for $ 1999. You get gps speeds of 40 mph. It makes me question is the price difference worth paying the money for having a dual motor set up. . Thanks for your videos it gives us newbies a better understanding to the ( e. ) world
Exactly what I'm talking about plus with dual motor ur range goes down alot even if u have 2 batteries

Either put a motorcycle style steering damper on there or at least mount the rear battery on the front to keep the front end from getting squirrelly. Nice bike.

its a bit more than I want/need. But the power is there "IF" you need it!
it is plenty to go on 1 motor,Buut yeah that switch on the fly is a super nice thing to get you up n over :)
It will be great to see what they come up with next.
your suggestion to see about adjusting the power on that front hub motor is a good one.
It will be interesting to see the performance on a long grade climb (?) as far as the overheating of what just 1 hub motor did on its own.
my "Guess" (& hope) is that the switch on the front motor will just negate the heat issues as they will be powering together :)
& ok im a tourist and my top hill climbing speed will be under 30 going up a dirt road.
really Im not a racer & powering back is fine with me (anything over 14 mph is fine)
I guess Citizen bike has a new master 😂
Big bang for your buck!!!!! 😊
amazing how quick it gets up to 40 mph. what a beast!
probably a dumb question but how is it just pedaling?
Front motor seems like a gimmick and that wheel spin is ridiculous. I have a built Talaria pulling about 16,000 watts to the rear wheel and it only burns out on pavement when I make it (front brake pulled, weight over bars.) It will loop out if you're not careful, but not burnout on pavement. Also, with a heavy, powerful e-bike like this, you really should talk more about the brakes & suspension. If they are underspec'd, it's an accident waiting to happen. An offroad segment would be helpful, too.
Just ordered ..can't wait
@corywebb5537 you shouldn't have long to wait, I believe they already landed at port.
@@CitizenCycle925I was going to get one that looked more like a motorcycle and I like those kind, But although still legal I think it would get unwanted attention😂 So I don't mind having a powerful sleeper.
Exactly what I'm saying
Plus the speed r relatively the same

I see this bike is new to the market but what about ( shunting ) the speed controller on this model .... ? 😮 Wow . I think the power would be much more and amazing . We all want to see that . 🎉
Would not be able to shunt mod these controllers they are filled with the thermal gel
So essentially it’s the freedom with dual motors. I would love for them to reinforce the rear rack somehow so it could be capable of carrying a passenger like on the ride1up cafe cruiser. That’s really the only thing holding me back from ordering the wired freedom, I would like my next e-bike to have room for 2
@@doctadrey3000 if you really want to carry a passenger I would recommend a cargo bike or at least a bike that has a dedicated rear seat
You have some great looking bikes, but the best looking thing in this video is your wife. Too cute.
She says thank you!
I would like to know about the suspension over bumps on a rough dirt road
I like that torque
Love the content! But hey, please measure your hill for % grade. We all have "decent" hills near our homes. But not all decent hills are made the same. I live in SF where we have hundreds of 20% grade hills, dozens of 25% and even a few 30% grade hills. It really helps when you calibrate yours so that all of us can relate our own terrain that we're shopping for.
I got the dark green one. There's only a few of those left and a few of the bright blue ones they were out of the rest of the colors.I wanted a black one but oh well, If somebody wants one, they better get it now. They're disappearing fast and there wasn't many made. It did add up of a final price more than I expected. 3800.But still going to be worth it in my opinion
Im going with 20 inch wheels.Mines orange.
haha when I ordered mine there were 2 black ones left which made me panic and buy. The wifey got the blue cruiser and it shipped the next day. You're in for a treat bro as the colors look amazing in person.
@@BeautyBeastRCmake a video on it
@@aquietpartynot an ebike chan but maybe we will! They actually started shipping them yesterday.
You are so lucky you get all these toys. I would like that one . I was going to get the cruiser but now the predator shows up. 😊help me will you
Yes I am very fortunate in many ways. the cruiser is a great bike too, but the Predator is just a Powerhouse. I'm going to make more content with this bike to help people decide
Amazing video!! I live in Clayton, NC and own a local fitness center. I have a Rad Rover and the bike you’re testing is amazing!! Would like to meet and go ride sometime! Great video!
That is sick!
Sweet green Goblin!
I don't see the Wired Predator for sale on Wired's website......
@@markborao6144 sold out!
@@jfly2249here's the TROLL again;)
I’m hoping you can offer and make the front motor kit that uses the existing batteries on the Wired cruiser plus model like the Predator, just don’t want a 3rd battery just a way of simular like the Predator.
Enjoy the Tourney Derailleur and the handlebar shake on a 4k with tax and shipping.
It's even more powerful than a ecells triple crown 3000 😮
Amazing looking bike.
This looks insane, I bet David Cleveland loves it hanahna
Why? His bikes go faster, and have a way better warranty. But I guess if all you want is speed, get a motorcycle.
@@mjex1965 not until we see them head to head, that test wasn't shown with gps data and we have no idea if that radar detector was calibrated.
O you bet he does...
Over $1,200 more for 3 more miles an hour top speed
Half the warranty and half the quality
Yeah, what competitor wouldn't love that 😅
A lot of these duel hub motor bikes gonna find a ditch this winter.. not going to corner well under those loads you can hear it struggling for traction
