They shouldn't have grounded all the C651s and C751B trains. These train types shouldn't have been retired decommissioned and scrapped. The C651 and C751B trains should have been refurbished. The LTA and SMRT should have refurbished these trains like what SBS Transit is doing for their C751A trains which are running on the North East Line. It's a shame that the C651 and C751B trains are retired and scrapped.
The refurbishment cost for the C651 is too high , they refurbished some C651 but scrapped it after testing as it is not reliable ,not sure about C751B tho , good choice to refurbish the C751B as its 24 years old
C751b is retired but the good thing is we have c151a, c151b, and c151c they pretty much have the same sound
yeah but the nostalgic smell of c751b that alot of us enthus will miss dearly
I like when the trains did the OSB ( One Stop Breaking ) ended up saving peoples time
Ikr + OSB is so much more satisfying when u watch the train stop in one swift braking motion

yeah they wanted to refurb the C651 but in the end the project was cancelled
C151 was alr refurbished while C651 failed and C751B was not refurbished
