The policy of no accountability, in any other country the transport minister will be held accountable esp with the sky high salary he is paid

After the highest inflation in decades and an unprecedented GST hike,
Let's increase the public transport fares by the MAXIMUM ALLOWED AMOUNT under the law,
So that we can pay SMRT CEO their annual $2 million.

No matter what happens pap only interested in increasing fares .
This should have happened since it happened trsnsport services still wants to claim credit and praises .
This is due to very poor or no maintenance .

    Profit over safety
    Money over caring for citizens
    Foreigners over Locals
    For you
    For Us
    For PAP

Cost First rather than Safety First🇸🇬
Fare hikes will still increase no matter what the Citizens concern.

We increased the population and most of them are using the public transport. So we do know that the service provider has additional revenue.
But having MORE commuters will require more maintenance as it adds strain to it....
I agree that increasing maintenance will add costs to the service provider but I'm thinking the additional revenue generated by more commuters should have covered that. I don't think its fair to increase commuting fees for a public transport that is not running deficit.

Murphy's law : Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
    Chinese wisdom:
    不怕一萬, 只怕萬一
    不怕一万, 只怕万一
(we are not afraid of ten thousands known occurrences but need only to be scared of the single unknown possibility).
Such massive MRT disruptions will occur again whatever precautions are taken.
The real test is on the ability to quickly recover and to repair the damages.
The staff of LTA/SMRT and their contractors must be competent to do this.
And the ready availability of tools, jigs, equipments and spare parts must be there.
Trying to have Taiwan or HK experts involved in a commission had no real meaning...just a meeting.
The local staff can perhaps tell you better what is wrong.
The top management must go down to the grass roots and ask the workers.

The blood-thirsty PAP will find reasons to raise public transportation fares. They need the revenue to continue to pay themselves ridiculously high salary. Damn them!

Fire the old engineers and replaced with new ones without proper handover is a big issue. Cutting costs and forgoing certain amount of passengers safety, is this a good compromise?
The constant need to self consolate and praise is NOT the way forward. Stop being narcissistic!

After Iswaran, we have a new minister not up to the work of the MOT leadership.
Wonder how the efficient Singapore leaders came to appoint such a clown.
