Glad you enjoyed it!
Why in the hell did you take all that shit off when you can just go from the bottom of the vehicle and change it?
It was getting a water pump
Thank you my man I have a 03 5.9 Dodge ram 1500 I originally thought I had a bad time to change but it was the harmonic balancer with that rubber that you were saying they can go bad and it started to eat into my block crazy lol
Yah the balancers can go bad, I seen one come off going down the highway before
Hey I just noticed a lil pool of oil on my 5.9 and it’s coming fro. Right under the harmonic balancer , what do I need to switch out? And is it bad to run the truck like that ? TIA
Prob the crank seal, or oil pan bolts are loose, and long as you keep a check on your oil level you should be fine, long as it's not pouring out like a water from a jug
Awesome. Doesn't seem to difficult. I think my balancer has gone bad. Do you know what would cause it to go bad all at once? I've read that they gradually wear out but mine must have broke or something. Is this something that's possible? It's a 5.2 I'm thinking it's a '98. It does have about 250k miles on it
the rubber dryrots, I seen them spin complete off before
@@TattsForLife thank you very much Sir. Now if I can figure out which one to order. They are different weights apparently.
flip a coin LOL
Do you leave the truck in gear or how can you stop it from rotating when loosing it? Pls help
I used a impact, came right out without holding
Did you ever find out the size of that nut on the pully? Is it 32 or 34?
yah we did, but I dont remember the size we did this back in july, sorry if I could not be more helpful
It's 1-1/4 inch which equals 31.75mm, so a 32mm will work too.
Thanks for the helpful info
Cool thanks guys
Removing mine now, how many ft lbs do you recommend?
the factory tourk specs, I dont remember been a while since I made this video, but im sure you can find the answer on google
TattsForLife well I meant for impact to take that bolt out
I used a snapon, cordless impact 1.4 drive, its a monster I had it on loosen and it brought it out no problem, just dont use it to install it lol
Shit I over looked the bolts for the pully today. Tomorrow I get er done son.
Happy my video was helpful and good luck
@@TattsForLife Yep I am a space cadet.
Very informative, but what the hell is that sound in the background at 3:40? lol
Someone doing a burn out, on my burn out strip lol they cant help their self's
idk whats worse the speech impediment, the southern accent, or the voice lag.
