  • Always setup the 23zero roof top tent after the rig is leveled and secured, but before the Batwing awning goes out. Remember you can step on the wheel wheels and their side steps, along with the A frame in the front (just don’t step on the plastic tongue storage box). Begin by loosening the 4 outer straps located on the driver’s side of the rig. Then unzip the tent’s cover starting at the front driver’s side corner and going toward the passenger side, then to the rear and back to the driver’s side just above the wheel well. Carefully lift off the cover from the passenger side, and then return to the driver’s side to pull it over and down. You can either let the cover hang off the side, or neatly roll it up and tuck it under the Pioneer roof rack. Now you’ll loosen the 4 internal straps, two on the front and two on the rear. Extend the ladder carefully while still standing on the wheel wells. Then from the ground, gently pull down on the ladder like a lever. If you feel any resistance, double check that all the straps are loose. Otherwise, pull the ladder downward till half of the tent base is pointed up to the sky. Then adjust your feet and the ladder’s position so you can lower the ladder and base. The hinged base should be parallel to the tent’s stationary base. Adjust the ladder as needed to support the hinged side as it is structural. Last, you’ll install the rain fly spring poles, two on each side. Be careful not to bend them more than necessary.

What is the total height of the trailer including the roof top tent ? Would this fit in the standard garage height of 7.5 ft? Thanks

On my 10.6 the 23 Zero roof top tent it is just barely under 8', so you wouldn't clear a 7.5' garage door. Now, Forest River sells the FSR branded roof top tent from the factory, and I believe that tent is very similar in dimensions when folded for reference. There are a couple other RTT variants that are slimmer profile...Roof nest is one. So it may be possible that you could get in 7.5' garage with a different tent. Otherwise would have to remove tent ea time to clear the 7'6". One other thing to keep in mind...height can change slightly based on elevation leading into garage, and Forest River may modify or change vendors/suppliers for things like axles, tires, etc. that could impact height so just a few other factors to consider.
