    😀 About VideoShowMeHow
    -----------------------------------------------
    ⏩ What's with the gloves?
    Not after any UA-cam fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing - easy to spot my videos! If that's not your thing and you'd prefer to watch a face, all good, I won't be offended, there's plenty of better looking ones to watch already on UA-cam ;)
    ⏩ Where did this start?
    I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
    ⏩ What will you find here?
    The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)

    I have a tradies trailer I am outfitting to be our camper so it’s build to our needs. Been looking at RTT’s for a while and the 4 person is a great setup just need to mod the trailers racks a little to make sure all site correctly

    Great video. Could you perhaps share one with the underside of the tent? I'm always wanting to see the underside of the tent/frame to see how to do a direct hard mount to a topper, but for someone reason this is hard to find.

    Nice video on the setup and closing of the tent...what is the price of one these rooftops and are they easy to install or do u need professionals to install them...

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  9 місяців тому

      Checkout their website (linked in description) and yep easy to install, very similar to the Yowie install - have a vid on exactly this on the UA-cam channel ua-cam.com/video/qZ31Xuuk1u8/v-deo.html

    Thanks for your video mate. How have you mounted the tent on the platform rack? Does it have the T slots on the bottom of the tent like the normal Saber does?

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  8 місяців тому +1

      yep sure does. I hard mounted this to the canopy in this instance but could mount like an normal RTT via the t-slots etc

    Hi Adam, Why the tent swap from the Yowie to the Saber? on paper the Yowie looks better. Its lighter and has more sleeping area and opens to the side so it doesn't interfere with the tailgate access. Just asking because i am about to purchase tub racks and a tent. Thanks

      Hey, was giving this one a test for the cape trip, trying out a slightly different setup. Different style tents, both great in their own way and quality top notch, really depends on what you're after I think.

    Honestly, how is the mattress? Is 50mm enough. Can you upgrade it if needed, ie still close the tent. Can you leave pillows in?

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  Місяць тому

      For the cape york trip we had the 23zero sleeping bags on top and slept that way and was fine. I think similar to most RTT is always the balance between thickness and tent compactness! Couldn't leave our pillows in there but maybe you could without the sleeping bags

    Hey mate. What’s it like in windy conditions?

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  8 місяців тому

      Yeah has a bit of weather up (wind, rain) on the cape trip and went well, walls are nice and taunt so no flapping or anything like that

    I like it but is like isn't have mosquito mash?

    • @VideoShowMeHow
      @VideoShowMeHow  5 місяців тому

      Mosquito mesh? Yeah the mesh is very fine, had no issues with midges etc when on the Cape Trip

  • @krump743
    @krump743 9 місяців тому +1

    Think another con is the tent doors zip up so u have to climb over the doors and midge screen. These tent builders should just stick to tents zippers that zip down so one doesnt need to climb over the doors .
    Nice tent. 😊

      Yeah good point, top down would be great

    • @destinationunknown3809
      @destinationunknown3809 6 місяців тому +1

      I like the down to up zipping. This way if it's pouring rain and windy you can still have the window open partially. If it zipped down, you would have to have it fully closed to prevent water intrusion.
